This store is reaaally not that great. Here's why. Despite being relatively clean and well stocked, this place is very ragged looking with many roof tiles missing, dirty dirty stained floors, and the lights, oh man the lights! Do not bring your epileptic friend in here, it will go poorly. I have migraine issues and the flickering and flashing lights was a huge issue. Only reason it is getting two stars is the staff were really friendly, and seemed like they actually liked their jobs.
I would not be surprised if this store goes under soon. Not recommended.

Hit and miss seems to be closed more then open . Workers seem nice . But not reliable. Seems to always have issues with something.

Good for dollar store stuff. Quick essentials, however, no room on the shelves and inventory is packed up on hand trucks in each isle. It's very hard to find what you came in for.

The Manager profiles customers when your just using the bathroom or buying a drink. She's unprofessional and uses what small authority Family Dollar entrusted her with to bully and talk people like trash. The store is dirty and unorganized

Friendly staff. It seems so simple but it is rather rare. This location does not portray the feeling that they hate their jobs. I typically patronize the other dollar store. But it seems Virginia has more Family Dollar stores. This Galax location was nice.
