Another update. I tried calling this location to speak with Kelly G., the person who responded to this review, and they all said they have no idea who this is. If you could provide your contact info, I'm having to provide all documentation dating back to October since I was just charged $180 again despite continuing to reach out to clear this up. I also received no responses to my last two emails to member services using the email you referenced (again).

The gym is nice if you're going to stay for years. However they are a hassle to cancel and never answer their cancellation emails so they can keep charging you. I did the cancellation form twice during the summer (July and August) and have still not gotten a response back from them. This is one of the worst gyms I have been too with a terrible cancellation policy. They only want to make money and don't care about reasons for needed to cancel. Even then the reasons are up to them on if they will allow you to cancel or not.

Onelife Heritage delivers the absolute best in instruction, programs, and staff courtesy! The range of programs andexceptional level of instruction, with the affordable membership cost pushes this club over the top for me and my family. I commend the staff for their great work here all around, to include incorporating member's feedback. I have noticed wonderful improvements, most notably in club cleanliness and maintenance.

Tons of equipment, clean, best gym in the area and made even better by Matt on their Sales team who had the most positive and pleasant energy. Watching him interact with staff and clients you can tell this guy is a gem ?

Since the new manager, Darlene, has come to Onelife Fitness in Gainesville, the gym is cleaner and the equipment is working well. She is doing a fabulous job! We even see her walking around the gym and at the front desk! I enjoy working out at Onelife and I'm thrilled that it is now clean and thriving!!!

Equipment is outdated and old. Stair master machines don’t work and usually always have an error code. They pop, snap and make noises. This gym needs a serious update and new equipment for cardio area is well over due!

Tbh 95% of the staff need to be fired for how disrespectful they are in treating club guests. There is literally only one staff member that I can recall being polite. This review has been long overdue, as I've tried many times to overlook a lot of things. Honestly, after reading all the recent reviews, I can't help but agree with how awful 95% of the staff is. This gym is decent and there is plenty of equipment, but it's hard to focus on your workout when a bunch of kids are screaming and making all this noise because they want attention. It's unfortunate because these people ARE the staff and they are partial to only their friends or if you're "young, fit and attractive" (YMMV). Basically, if you want to deal with sneers and judgmental looks, THIS is the place to come to. It's comparable to being in high school and for some reason the clowns that work here think they're all that.Like other reviews mentioned, when it comes to closing time, they are increasingly aggressive as others are trying to wrap up their sets. Of course, not to their friends, they'll stand and pose while taking pictures and its overall just super obnoxious (not to mention cringe). Also around closing time, they all gather upstairs and just wait for 9:40 PM to come around and they're already shutting off the freaking lights. It's hard to focus counting on your set when there are literal screeches and horseplay happening near you. People could've been done a lot sooner if they had stopped all the hollering and cursing, literally for no reason. I've been to many gyms and NONE of them were ever this close to how awful and unprofessional the staff is - not to mention stuck up. The worst part is that the managers just sit by and let it happen.People pay to go to the gym. They do not pay to be harassed by 13th graders that need validation by screaming for attention every 5 minutes. The bully and clique-like behavior are so off putting -seriously, if you want to deal with staff who peaked in high school, this is the gym for you.

I'm disappointed I had to switch to the one in Woodbridge. This one is Gainesville is amazing compared to Woodbridge. I know to appreciate what I have a lot more now. The front desk here is amazing, so much cleaner, just friendlier.Only thing is I would just suggest ppl stop wearing shoes in the sauna, and pool. That's the only dumb thing I saw. Other than that great gym.

The gym staff are rude and unprofessional. You'll regret signing up, I promise. It's also funny how aggressive the gym staff want to get near closing time. If you're their buddies, you're allowed to stay after. So some customers get special privileges (especially the ones that orbit the female gym staff) and the rest of us get threatened with calls to the police for being even near close time.Do. Not. Sign. Up. I let my friend talk me into it and I've regretted it ever since.

Tonight at exactly 9:59 pm, this trainer Mike walks up to me (still in his training gear) and tells me I need to leave. I told him I am going to do my last set and I am out. He tells me my last set should’ve been 2-3 minutes ago and he was going to CALL THE COPS on me if I didn’t leave. I leave and walk outside and it turns out he told around 15 other people the same exact thing also BEFORE the closing time at 10pm. Absolutely disrespectful. I have seen this trainer Mike all the time around the gym working out and training way past close and he treats his customers like this?? I have been going to the gym for years and now and have been a loyal customer until now. Extremely ridiculous and disrespectful. Calling the police on your customer a minute before closing time?? Management needs to do something about this.

It’s 10:07pm as I’m writing this review. Tonight at 9:59pm the trainer Mike came and threatened us that he will call the cops on us if we don’t leave by ten, as he is in his training gear and not even working. He was working out himself past 10 with his personal clothes.I stepped out of the gym, and saw at least 15 other people frustrated because he had threatened them too. This place is becoming a joke because of people like him.The management needs to do something about this, and he needs to stop approaching people in his personal gear.

This gym has a lot of potential, but it needs some attention to detail. I have been a member for almost two years. When the gym was pretty empty during the pandemic, they did a fine job keeping everything clean and repaired. I would give this gym five stars for their operation from December 2020 through June 2021. Since June 2021, they have gotten overwhelmingly busy and things are falling apart all over and getting dirtier and dirtier. The gym is pretty crowded during peak hours; this is not something necessarily the manager of the gyms fault, but they should have the managers spend some time during the busiest hours to assess what equipment is used the most and make some adjustments. In particular, there are only four bench presses and there is regularly a line of people waiting between 4 to 8 pm every weekday; it would be beneficial for them to add four to six more bench presses and replace equipment that is less frequently used. The General Manager, Lorenda, only works mornings and does not seem to be present for the busiest hours in the evening. It would make sense for the General Manager to be required to be present during busiest times to assess how the business is running and make adjustments. As mentioned by other reviewers on here, the men’s locker room has gone to shambles. There are broken pieces that sit damaged for weeks. The sauna has been broken since the end of June 2022, and it seems like no one working the front desk has been informed by their managers of what the plan is to fix it. Some people say they are waiting on a part, some people say they are waiting on the manager to submit the work order, some people say it will be completely replaced, but nothing changes. The sauna also has several benches broken and a frame around the heater collapsing in with nails sticking out in multiple places that is dangerous for elderly or children who may slip, reach out to grab something, and pierce their hands with these dangerously exposed nails. The thermometer fell off the wall two weeks ago and has not been replaced so you have no way of knowing how hot it is. The sand timer has had pieces slowly fall off it over the last few months and become broken to the point where people now stick folded paper towels behind it to hold it up. This gym should have the managers put together a checklist that requires a walkthrough and evaluation of damaged equipment and submit it daily to help with upkeep. With good maintenance and some attention to detail this could be five stars.*Update 07/30/2023I am updating my rating from 2 stars in 2022 to 4 stars in 2023. The operation of the Onelife Gainesville has significantly improved in the last year. The downstairs area initially had a limited amount of equipment available. This year a substantial investment has been made in adding equipment and fully utilizing the space. Between the downstairs and upstairs areas the total available equipment has at least doubled. These additions have made the busiest times on weekdays between 4 to 8 pm significantly better with flow of people and availability of popular equipment. The cleanliness of the gym has also improved this year in both the equipment area and the men’s locker room. There is a newer custodian who has been working the men’s locker room that has more hustle than the last guy. He is constantly moving when cleaning the areas. He also regularly mops and cleans the sauna which I had never seen with the previous custodian do. The General Manager, Lorenda, is now often on the floor and around in the evenings and even some Sundays until close. Lorenda deserves acknowledgment for making big improvements this year in available equipment and cleanliness. There is still some equipment that takes more than two weeks to repair, such as the upstairs leg press, and locker room fixtures. There is also wood in the sauna that needs repair. This gym is on the right path to five stars soon.

We love this gym. It is always so clean with working equipment and they have a wonderful kids zone that is large and well maintained with adequate staffing.Speaking of staff I have to recognize how friendly and professional everyone is especially Matt. Matt is always going the extra mile to help out the members from finding certain sport games on the tvs to even coming out to help me change a flat tire in the scorching heat. He goes above and beyond and has a big heart! Thankful for the one life Gainesville team!
