Lowes of Gainesville Do not have them design a kitchen for you. Their kitchen designers suck their Customer Service suck. Our kitchen has been torn apart since August and there is no relief in sight. All you get is excuses.

***DO NOT PURCHASE AN APPLIANCE FROM THE LOWES IN GAINESVILLE IF YOU WANT IT DELIVERED. They contract out their deliveries and the service is unreliable and the store does not back the delivery company's mistakes (trying to come late at night, on Sundays or even when they are not scheduled, including bringing the wrong product). You would be better off paying the extra money using another store, other than Lowe's. It was funny because Lowe's made me wait until the next day to credit me for the wrong delivery that was not even taken off of the truck. I am still waiting for my credit and phone call. Avoid the Lowe's in Gainesville at all costs.

I have been shopping at this Lowe's for about 7 years. Yesterday I had the pleasure of working with an employee who far exceeded my expectations Mr. David Corona. I'll start off by sharing a not-so-good experience shortly before David arrived: I was in the lumber section needing to buy some of the biggest and heaviest posts they sell (6x6x16') and noticed that they had parked a forklift in front of the section holding the posts. Two employees were walking by me when I flagged them down and told them I need to get two of those huge posts can you please move the forklift. One of them jumped in the forklift, backed it up, and to my shock they both just walked away leaving me to lift a 6x6x16 post by myself onto my lumber cart (mind you these posts are about 150 pounds or heavier if they are still wet). I started to try and wrestle one on my own and about 30 seconds later David Corona came walking around the corner, saw me, and immediately asked if he could help me load the lumber to which I graciously accepted! This in and of itself was excellent customer service, especially after being left by two other employees who could have easily helped me but Mr. Corona wasn't done, he insisted on staying with me the entire time as I continued to load other smaller pieces of lumber for my project - even after I told him that the smaller pieces I should be able to handle by myself - he kept with me and made it a lot faster and easier to pick out good pieces of lumber and get loaded up. He then accompanied me to check out and helped me load everything on my trailer. 5-Star A+ customer service, this guy needs a bonus or a raise - he has good character and great work ethic. Lowe's, do yourself a favor and don't let him get away - get him promoted and working up the ranks as he will be a valuable asset.

This review is for Lowes in 7500 Broken Branch Ln, Manassas, VA 20109 and not Gainesville Lowes.Lowes has a deal if you buy one of three Craftsman Items for $99 you get one of a set of 7 items for free. One of the items in the to buy list it says V20 13 inches String Trimmer (Item number is included) Guess what, the item number and the description does not match. The Item number is for a V20 10 inches string trimmer. So I asked... "As a customer I don't know what the item number is, I go by the description and as the description is promising me V20 13 inches string trimmer can I get that." The agent called a manager and the lady said that I was right Lowes should honor that and asked the agent to sell me that but the system did not accept the item number for the 13 inches trimmer so she call called the store manager, his name is David, for price override. David looked at the advert and did not care at all and said to me "I don't care what the description is I go by item number and based on item number I am not going to sell you what is in the description." I said to him that by putting that description Lowes is promising to sell me that but you refusing to honor your advert you are not honoring your promise." He said to me he does not care about description and was unfriendly and sort of irritated from my question and left. I went to Lowes the second day and was curious to see if they fixed the description guess what no they did not fix it. I think I should be able to buy as promised the V20 13 inches string trimmer and get with it one of the free items as promised in the advert

Now we know that there are employees in the store but the telephones are either not answered or they pick up the phone and then hang up. You then go back into the phone call abyss. Completely unacceptable for customers to have to drive to the store to ask simple questions.

**This review is specifically for the employee Damien.**I came into this location looking to purchase a door for my house and needed assistance with finding the correct model. I found Damien, who might have been working in another area, and tried to contact his coworker to help. The coworker was on break, so seeing that my wife and I needed assistance, Damien took it upon himself to help. I was having a hard time locating the barcode information on the doors but had a picture for reference. Damien used the computer to look up the different models, and even when he had trouble using the code (it was a bad barcode), he was still able to find the door.He went above and beyond with assisting me with getting the information that I needed to make the purchase. I definitely appreciate it when you can get help with great effort. Thank you again, Damien!

Lowes finally did issue a credit for the undelivered blind. They made it seem like they were doing me a favor rather than simply doing the right thing. Home Depot is now my go to store

I recently purchased a brand new Bosch refrigerator from the Lowe's in Gainesville, VA. I also paid for them to deliver and install the refrigerator and haul away the old refrigerator. Turns out - Lowe's does not have their own staff to deliver and install appliances. They have awarded a contract to a third party contractor/service to do this.After the installer was done installing the refrigerator and had left - I noticed the tops of the two doors did not line up. The left door was noticeably higher than the right door - and this was also preventing the door from sealing properly when closed.I took photos of this, (as well as photos of several dents on the side of the refrigerator) and went back to Lowe's and showed them the fruits of their labor.So they scheduled a follow up appointment to fix this. I advised them the guy that was sent last time (third party contractor service) did not know what he was doing. They responded they would have them send someone else. So, the next day - they arrive - and it's the same guy who installed it. He looked at it for a couple of minutes, pushed on a couple of things, and stated I need the refrigerator doors replaced!I asked him to leave, went back to Lowe's, spoke to them again - and they said they would attempt to schedule someone else from the contractor to come out. I told them "No," they have no clue - and you as the company Lowe's have entered into a service contract with a low budget/low bidder for these services - a company that is clueless and incompetent. So then they offered me some money to keep the refrigerator "as is" (which is unacceptable) - or they would replace the whole refrigerator (guess what incompetent company would again deliver it and botch the install). Neither of these were acceptable options given the incompetence of the installer.So I called Bosch support and explained my dilemma. They issued a code to a local third-party Bosch-authorized service provider to cover the cost of the service visit - and so - enter "Top Notch Appliance Service." The guy who came out was the owner of Top Notch. After I showed him the fridge, before he even attempted an adjustment of the door, he checked and told me that my fridge was not even close to being level. Lowe's contractor did not even look at leveling the refrigerator.So he leveled it as best he could - I found out the floor in my kitchen where the refrigerator sits - is not level. After leveling the refrigerator, he adjusted the door. Took him all of 15 minutes or so to do what Lowe's contractor service stated would need a new door.Thanks to the code that Bosch issued - the adjustments were covered.One should not have to call the manufacturer for appliance installation support. I paid a lot of money for a high quality refrigerator - and a big chunk of change for delivery and installation - and it was done improperly. There is no accountability at Lowe's. Once Lowe's has your money - you are screwed. They don't care about you.I will never shop at Lowe's again. The company should be embarrassed over their low quality service.

I had them install a storm door $650 and the glass won't stay in. Lowes cares less, and can't follow thru on getting it replaced even when the manufacture has approved it. Home Depot does a much better job.

Arrived at 10am to order some cabinets and we were told the lady who works in that section would be in at 10:30. We waited until 10:35 before asking again and we're now told 11:00am. So I wasted an hour of my day and never got help with ordering my cabinets. UGH Also, requests to see the Manager were denied.

I am happy with the washing machine and dryer I bought 6 months ago. They said it would take 6-8 weeks to get the mail in rebate but even though I called 3 times in the last 2 months I still haven't received it after 6 months.

The loading crew was amazing today. Not only did the cashier ring up the wrong mulch the crew gave us a refund without us going back into the store! Thanks for such great service Emilie

Patrick from electrical was the most delightful creatureI have ever met. His hair smelled of freshly trimmed wood and his manor was fair. I had thousands of electrical problems before I met Patrick, but now I have zero. I love him please promote him and give him a raise.

Is it possible to give zero stars. This business is absolutely horrible. I bought a storm door and entry door in November it arrived in March to be installed. First scheduled install driver broke down ok reschedule, 2nd attempt driver had an accident ok feel better, 3rd attempt driver broke down......really, ok whatever, 4th attempt driver picked up wrong item how's that possible, 5th attempt driver picked up wrong item...again What a joke got my money back today and will never set foot in this dumpster fire again. #Shameful Lowes
