Smaller than the Springfield Scout store, but should be able to get all the BSA items you need. If they don't have it, then Stephanie can order it for you.

Doesn't have everything the Springfield store has, but certainly much closer and more convenient to get to. Be sure to check the hours before heading out.

I didn't realize the Boy Scouts had it so good! This is a huge campus only a few miles outside the DC metro area, and everything is brand new since the camp was built in the last few years. Yes, there are 3 cabins with about 25 beds in the same room, but there's a surprising number of more private rooms (6 rooms that fit 4 people each). Each of these cabins has its own screened porch with a few rocking chairs, which I definitely took advantage of. And if you're so lucky, there is a beautiful lodge that I would expect to find at a ski resort instead of a Boy Scout camp - finished wood walls and floors, 4 rooms with 1 double bed each, a full kitchen, and a living room with a full fireplace. Outside this beautiful lodge, there's a bonfire pit with a stone wall to sit on while enjoying the stars and roasting marshmallows. We were here for a wedding, and thoroughly enjoyed it. It brought back good memories of summer camp.

Camp William B. Snyder is a 325 acre facility owned and managed by the Boy Scouts of America! It sits at the foot of Bull Run Mountain on the eastern side of the mountain chain. Having been a Cub Scout/Webelo/Boy Scout when I was young - I can appreciate this venue for the opportunities it provides the scouting community. It's also used by a variety of other local community groups for their own events. I've been here a few times now over the years - a couple of visits to a Halloween event run by the Boy Scouts called "The Hauntings of Haymarket Hollow," (an outdoor Haunted Trail event for Halloween) which I believe has been discontinued for now. More recently I attended "Pumpkin Pandemonium" - run by the local Gainesville Ruritan Club. PP was a Fall/Halloween themed event to buy Pumpkins and other Autumn themed products, hear live music, have your kids participate in a variety of activities such as pony rides and hay rides, games, and more.
