Over a two hour wait (on a Wednesday) to get scripts filled. After being told it would be an hour. Watching/listening to folks behind the windows socializing, taking breaks, going to lunch completely oblivious to the 2+ hour wait they are causing.Their pharmacy reminds me Walmart. Walmart has 24 checkout lanes, but only 4 are open. The Ft Belvior pharmacy has 12 windows, but only 2 of them are open. This might be the worst pharmacy in the DoD. Which is no small feat. Ridiculous.

A constant disappointment, today I went back to the pharmacy to pickup meds for my son. After seeing the dr last week, I had done the whole “get in line” charade. It took 4-5 hrs for his Flonase to be ready for pickup. I came back today and redid the “get in line”, to be safe because it’s such a sh!tshow. I go into the pharmacy and the same guy who always rushes you at the door, who will ask you a question but berate you when you try to answer and stop you from talking and answering is at the door, blocking me from entering and completing the task that I know how to do. The guy is never kind or helpful and has the worst service. I hate coming here, I know hate is a strong word but he hates patients. Not a person who should be working with others. I don’t get this from anyone else in the pharmacy.

The ratings are low for a legit reason! This has to be the absolute worst medical facility I’ve ever experienced in my life… if you want effective services or even sub-par services, please do NOT go to the FT Belvoir Hospital.Monday: I took my 3yr old to the ER on a Monday. He was screaming with pain in his ears… we sat in the ER for 5hours waiting to see a physician, only to be informed that there were 2 people in front of us and we would still probably have to wait a couple hours. I refused to sit there another 3hours with my child in pain, surrounded by 24 other sick people. I took him home and treated him there as much as I could until the next day appointment.Tuesday, I followed up with his PCM. She got us in right away- my baby is still complaining about his ears. She diagnosed him with an ear infection. She wrote the prescription right away. Next, I activated the prescription through the text system and proceeded to the Pharmacy, located in Meadows Pavilion, to ensure follow up that the pharmacy had in fact received the information. I was stopped at the door by a tall, bald, Black male who informed me that I would have to wait for a return message saying the medication was ready for pickup. I showed him the messages in my phone and he assured me that everything was done properly and that the prescription would be filled right away. I told him it was important because my child has been crying, in excruciating pain— he again told me not to worry, but I had to wait.Wednesday- this is day three (1500hrs)… I call the pharmacy to check on my child’s medication. The representative tells me that they have not input his medication because the system is down… I am furious. I asked her why did they not inform me when my child is in pain and in need of medication. I asked her to please out source with the local pharmacy. She acted very nonchalant as If this situation is not emergent. An hour later, I call the pharmacy back and they still had not transferred the prescription. I asked the representative why she had not called me to inform me that they had not made the transfer. I walked into the pharmacy and asked them to call the Belvoir pharmacy and still no progress from Belvoir’s end. After several hours of waiting and no medication, I am here writing a review explaining the reasons why you should never go to Ft Belvoir Hospital. I have literally given up and taking my child to the local Urgent Care!! I absolutely hate this experience and pray it does not happen to anyone else!! Shame on you Fort Belvoir Hospital!!!

Toxic military leadership, waited in the Er with my babygirl , no one came and talked to us for 3 hrs , just for the doc to come tell us something that we already knew , that she was sick , no medicine was given to help the situation, I work here and I will never take my daughter here again

The lab here is the worse. Never anyone at the desk, because they are always stepping away to eat.. No matter what day you go expect to be waiting 2 hours or more. The move on their terms in this place.

My initial encounters with this hospital have been quite positive overall. Despite some phone barriers getting set up at this hospital at my new address, I managed to swiftly schedule and attend my first appointment with my primary care team. On my first day, I parked near the emergency room and took the wrong path to the hospital, but I managed to find my way around the facility and arrive at the right place. I enjoy that I was able to complete practically everything right away, including my appointment, a prescription refill, documents for the release of medical records, and visits with the doctors I needed for various illnesses all in one day.

Consistently the worst MTF in the area. Whoever commands this facility should be relieved of command. The staff and med techs are always rude and the pharmacy wait times are ridiculous. There is zero bedside manner and the civilian employees treat patients poorly because they think they can…proving that “leadership” has enabled this behavior. It’s not surprising this military medical facility is so poor. After all…what do call the person who graduated last in their medical class? Captain.

The gynecological clinic is full of gossip and mean doctors. They failed my husband in rotation despite that he wouldn’t even CHOOSE gynecology. The top doctor over there is idiotic doctor who doesn’t keep her promise. I know, it turned out for us well after all, but my husband had to repeat the unnecessary rotation! And, they have the worst bed for moms. I couldn’t sleep for 2 days after giving birth there ??♀️

The hospital itself may be fine, but the appointment system for their clinics leaves a lot to be desired. Sunday found myself in the Emergency room. Long story short, I needed an MRI and a visit to the Neurosurgeon for some multilevel degeneration in my c-spine. Being military-funded, you can't just go do these things, you have to schedule an appointment back with your primary care provider first. To their credit, I received an appointment with the Nurse Provider at 0945 the next day. She concurred with the two docs from the ER, put in the referrals, and proscribed 800mg of Motrin. I would say it is a placebo, but either it just seems better after two days, or dealing with the system has effectively taken my mind off the pain. So, she tells me you can schedule the MRI now, but will have to wait 48 hours to activate the referral for the Neurosurgeon. I called yesterday, the same day I returned from the NP, and got an "All available representatives are busy; please leave a message." I did but received no response. Today called at 0700 to get the message that they were not open until 0715. I called back at 0730 and was #28 in the queue. It wound its way down to #1 shortly before the two-hour mark and then promptly disconnected me at the two-hour mark. I called back, left a second message, and then called the Patient Advocate. She patched me to the CT team, which forwarded me to the Imaging team, who told me they couldn't do anything concerning making appointments; I would have to call the number I used earlier. When I explained my problem, they were sorry, but they could do nothing. I called the appointment line again, #39 in the queue, two hours, down to one, and cut off. I called the third time. I started at #21, and the cycle repeated, down to one, and cut off at two hours. I called the Patient Advocate back; she remembered me and offered to take my information down and deliver it to them. I told her I had already left two messages and didn't get a return, so I asked, Why should I get one from this? She said they have three days to respond to a query from the Patient Advocate. I told her that didn't seem to help me with my lack of appointment problem. She agreed and connected me back to the MRI department. Progress now, he also recognized me from calling earlier and could sense the frustration in my voice. Perhaps I told them, but either way, he gave me the phone number of the head of the department. I called and explained my issue. He was contrite and told me he didn't know why the system was cutting me off after two hours. I was thinking why does it take two hours in the first place. now multiply that by the three times I went through the process, and I really can't fathom the why. Turns out he can make appointments. He took my information and came back to tell me they don't have any appointments available, but if I was willing to travel to Dumfries (about 40 minutes/25 miles) they have openings. I said sure, I take the first you have. I now have an appointment 18 days from now. Wow, just wow.

Showed up for my appointment I had scheduled months earlier, was told it was rescheduled 30 minutes later. Waited in the lobby for another hour, asked about my appointment, was told that the MD was sick and I’d have to wait longer to see a RN. I explained I didn’t want to see a nurse or PA, I just wanted to reschedule with the MD. I was told that PAs are actually far more qualified than MDs. Lmao. Wasted three hours on a busy day and they couldn’t even reschedule me because their schedule for the next month wasn’t ready yet

I was shocked at how well my husband was and still is being treated here. All the nurses were top notch, they really care about you, and went out of their way to do whatever they could for you. I’m really impressed, if I could give them more stars I would.

Checked in to the pharmacy using Q-Anywhere thinking it would save me time. When I arrived the pharmacy concierge asked if she could help me and I told her my ticket number. She laughed at me and said the wait is over two hours. The pharmacy isn't even half way full of patients and it will take them over two hours. I came to this pharmacy once after being released from the emergency room to pick up prescriptions and there was exactly zero inherent people there and it still took one hour to get the medicine. It is like this at all the military healthcare facilities. They really need consulting from private pharmacies that are in the business of filling prescriptions.
