“Very creative store that's a great idea for art teachers, artists, or people with general art related hobbies! However, I'd be more open to accepting donations. Doing it by appointment seems rather odd, If it were me, I'd take whatever I could and sort it that way. There were a lot of really great items. However, some of it seemed a bit useless. I do pride myself in finding ways to recycle old things into art, but some of this stuff could serve no further purposes. Either way, it's a great idea, and a great store!”

“Adopted Akela (formally Kesha) a few weeks back and we are loving getting to know each other! Everyday Akela’s personality comes out a little bit more and he ended up being quite a goofy dog. Akela loves meeting friends on our walks or lounging around all afternoon. He is the perfect little addition into my life style. The AWLA helped recommend our new vet and even covered the initial exam fee. We look forward to supporting them in the future!”

“I always go when it's hot, it's delicious, there's a little stream at the bottom, and when it's cold with snow, it's charming and fantastic for sliding in the snow.”

“A wonderful theater venue in the DMV! Only frustration is the lack of signage on campus, which made it hard to find the theater. Other than that, extremely cool space!”

“We visited here for a kindergarten school field trip. The farmers and educators were a fantastic resource, they walked us around everywhere. It is important to note that the entrance is the same as Woodlawn, it's very confusing and there aren't that many signs. There is a lot to do here, but it is a farm so you're going to get messy! It's a sustainable farm, so lots of interesting ways to farm without pesticides.”

All the people that work at this facility are very helpful, kind and very considerate. All the people that work at this facility also walk that extra mile to give you all the help that you need at the time. Thanks for all that you do for me! God bless!”

“12/14/22This past Sunday on 12/11/22 we (my wife and I) took a trip back to The Journey Church. I like how laid back they are on the dress code for Church. Dressing up to go to Sunday School/Church rubbed me the wrong way. If I wasn't comfortable in what I wore, my attention to church was nonexistent. This is when I was much younger. Still today I am glad to see Church goers wearing everyday clothing and not necessarily the monkey suit.Anyhow, after talking with the pastor for the second time, I find him very laid back and cool to talk to. In the back of my mind i wondered what could be today's lesson in church? Today's Lesson: The StormHave you ever had a personal storm in your life? Well today's lesson. Started out with how weather people...no,...meteorologist decided to name storms after women. This was later changed to men an women's name. Some of the names of selected storms have a deeper meaning than others. The lesson in short was to keep hope in what you do, because without hope, you might be battling a storm physically, mentally or both for a long time.I don't go to Church very often, but this place gives off good vibes even if I still don't know many of the people there. My wife says the main reason for being there is God. Anything else is an added bonus. I am not as into the Lord as she is, but I will say this. The music, how I feel then I am there and the history of lessons learned keep me coming back for more. I find it fascinating how things I learned in school, specifically Western/Eastern Civilization and American History had bites and peices of things I am now hearing from The Bible.I am moving at a snail's pace come paired to my wife. Yet I don't believe there is a set speed for religion. If there is, my God will have to have patience. Still, I am on a Journey of self discovery. Who knows what I will discover next week.”

“During the worst of covid they provided food every other weekend almost. Now it's just once a month but each time we get chicken eggs bread fresh vegetables (this time it was a huge bag of onions and 10 lb of carrots) along with rice, beans, pancake mix, and canned food. And the army of volunteers are fantastic. I go to the Nova site and it's well run.”

“It's nice, but the indoor pickleball court lines look like an electronic circutboard and are impossible to follow. I just guess and hit the ball to where I think it's safe.”

“This is a great historical farm and hiking area that focuses not only on the community and education of history, plants, soil, animals; but also has great water views and fairy trails! Fun all around and dog and kid friendly. For those who do not like to/can not walk far, part of the path is wheelchair/stroller friendly and there is plenty of seating in the picnic area.Restrooms: Restrooms are clean and good. Non potable water and uses hand samitizer.Dog-friendliness: Dogs allowed in park and on trails, not allowed in the barn. If yor dog is ok with animals you can walk past the barnyard to the trails, if not stay down by the water trails and parking lot and you won't be near the livestock. My dog loves walking past the cows and sheep, they ignore him and he is intrigued while sniffing his way through the hike.Picnic area: Good tables in the picnic area close to the parking lot.”
