Absolutely amazing in every aspect.
Noticed a nail in my tire in the middle of Shenandoah National Park and had to be back in Georgia that evening so I was on a tight timeline.
Went to Ricks Auto and told them my issue and they got me in right away and patched the tire. I was very happy with the price and everyone there was friendly. I was back on the road and made it back to Georgia in time.
Their waiting room is extremely nicely, couch coffee, TV. Didn’t spend much time there but I was impressed.

Just wonderful service. Because of a temporary physical issue, I couldn’t get to the shop, so Rick sent 2 wonderful associates to pick up my car and took it to his shop. Went over the car with a "fine tooth comb." Did the needed repairs, a State Inspection, and delivered it back home good as new. Very reasonable repair price too. But it's the great customer service I most appreciated. Thanks guys (Jasper & Mark), and especially Rick. Thanks a million. You are the best!

Find yourself a different spot to bring your car to.To their benefit, the person I worked with was kind and friendly, and they were expedient. The costs on parts however are typical of a garage who's looking to make a predatorial margin. One example, I was charged what it would cost me at the store to replace both wiper blades. Not only were these blades most likely bought at wholesale, the shop only replaced the one that was defective. After seeing how the owner treated another customer, I figured my time would best be served letting the public know, you will get got here.Business practices have changed, this is not a shop that i see surviving that change. If anyone knows a garage in the northern shenandaoh Valley who genuinely cares about the longevity of their relationship with their customers, please let me know.

Do not use this company. Rick, the owner, does all the talking. I guess he can't trust any of the five other people sitting around the front office, doing nothing, to lie as good as he does. And he charges six times more than the other mechanics in town. I needed a Throttle Position Sensor replaced. I knew this because Auto Zone had run a scan (free). I left the car with him and a few hours later he called and said I needed a Throttle Body. But I had told him that two Throttle Bodies had been tried and did not fix the problem. He talked me into doing it anyway, because afterall he had better sources. He said if this did not fix the problem, I would have to pay the $425 labor charge. Overnight I realized he did not say anything about the sensor. I called him. He said that it did not show up on the scan. I asked if couldn't install it anyway making less labor than having to take the Trottle Body out later to do it. First he said no, and then said he would if it looked like it was needed.I had second thoughts about all of this. I went back to this shop the next day and said I wanted to pick up my car. He was furious. Said I would have to pay for the Throttle Body, even though he had not receive it yet. I reminded him that he had said he could return it. His response was he could only return it if it was defected. That is not what he had said. He had said he could return if it did not fix the problem. He kept arguing about this. So I said I would this police, punched in 91 and said 'okay, you do not have to pay for the part.'He printed out what labor had been done. And there on his printout was 'Throttle Position Sensor defective.' Do you see? He was going to install the Throttle Body and say he did not work but I had to pay $425 for the labor. By the way, the first two times this had been done the labor charge was $75.So I ended up paying $88 for the same scan Auto Zone had done for free. And yes, there is proof that a simple scan was run, not a Diagnostic Test. I went immediately to Auto Zone, they ran another scan and Rick's scan was recorded. Rick also charged me $20 for a relay that retails for $5-$10. And he charged $60 labor to replace it. The labor time to do this is at maximum 2 minutes. That includes: unlock car door, flip hood release, lift hood, open top of box that is sitting at hood level, pull out relay and plug in new relay. So do not go there, do not ever trust this guy.(By the way, I am a 78 year old, female with gray hair.) Nice guy, right?

Rick's is a great place to take your vehicle. They are friendly and efficient. They take you in pretty quickly. I get my car inspected there because I trust them.

Never commit to repairs without a second opinion, they do charge for an estimate.

Guy in the office finds every excuse to not work on your car. Pretty disappointed with this place never been told so many excuses before to not install a sway bar link! What a shame
