We truly enjoyed our brief stay at the Woodward House. Joan, our host, was delightful. The cozy suite was comfortable and provided everything we needed. Breakfast was stellar. We plan to return!Rooms: Our suite included a separate bedroom and sitting area including a couch, chair, and tv.Nearby activities: It is only 1/2 to the entrance station for the Skyline Drive.Walkability: The downtown area is an easy walk away.Food & drinks: In addition to the delicious breakfast, there is a bar for evening beer and wine in the community area. Joan also provides snacks in your room.

I can't say enough of this place. The twins are awesome. The house is beautiful and decorated exquisitely and also for Halloween. Friendly bar to meet and greet everyone, and the rooms are great! And breakfast, oh my! Fresh eggs from their own chickens and vegetables from their garden. We really felt special. We will definitely be back.

Clean, cozy bed and breakfast minutes from the Front Royal entrance to Shenandoah. Hosts were super sweet and breakfast was delicious! Also walking distance from restaurants and shops in Front Royal downtown.

Had a restful stay and ate better than a queen for breakfast. This B&B sets the standard for service, friendliness, and hospitality. The bed was comfortable and the room temperature was perfect sleeping temp for me.

I absolutely loved staying at Woodward House On Manor Grade. On their website, it states, "Unforgettable Hospitality" and that is the truth. You will immediately receive a warm welcome and heart felt conversations. We enjoyed the space and comfort of our room. The home reminded me of my childhood. Thank you for the delicious breakfast! Everything was homemade, right down to the jam.

5 stars isn’t even enough for this location!Joan & Kathy were amazing hosts. The breakfast we got served was super delicious and everything in this house was detailed to perfection. I love the little room we were in. it was called the “Kathleen”the location was perfect, 5 mins away from Skyline Caverns and about the same for the shenandoah parkentrance.i love the view from the porch, the living room area. Everything was super lovely. There isn't much more to say than the previous reviews haven't already covered. I will assure anyone reading that every one of these 5 star reviews are absolutely true!Joan and Kathy were great hosts, hospitable and they ensured an exceptional stay! The breakfasts were huge and delicious, the front porch was so inviting for afternoon reading (while sipping on complimentary beer or wine from their pub bar). The room (we had Elizabeth Choice) was large, clean and they had thought of absolutely everything we would need. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were WONDERFUL!I am telling all of my friends and family about this B&B. I'd give them 6 stars if I could.

I was very impressed with your beautifully maintained and comfortably heartwarming establishment when I had the privilege and honor to stay with you in the house next door on a seasonally sublime night in June. Aside from being served a wonderfully spectacular and pallet-satisfying breakfast, visiting briefly with the host's adorably sweet monster-sized pet, and delighting over experiencing the fabulously quintessential and enchanting decor, I only wished I could have stayed longer to explore your fair town more and the different surrounding scenic sites of interest in that part of Virginia, The State that is for Lovers.I am glad to finally getting around to writing you a little review to mildly explain how truly nice it was to meet Joanie, her husband, and Kathy. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for having me as your guest, Joanie. I really appreciated your genuinely warm and friendly hospitality, exemplarily fine and tasty breakfast, and the fact that Christina Vakas was thoughtfully kind enough to introduce me to you and your lovely homes. I hope to see you again in 2024, so I'm expecting you to stay healthy, happy, and Blessed.Rooms: Having been able to be given a personal-guided tour by Christina showing most of the rooms in the house, I was charmed by the myriad of the family's personally acquired eclectic items from around the world, the gorgeous furniture, and stylishly fanciful decor throughout the entire home.Noteworthy details: I enjoyed seeing the chickens out front as being a unique part of what makes your B & B special and upholding many qualities of valuable tendencies that earn it Five Gold Stars in my book. The best thing is that your place is much more than just somewhere with a soft pillow to rest the head upon at the end of a busy day and wake up to eat food that is Only Just a breakfast. I have to say that the supreme caliber of your exquisitely fabulous charm is partially due to the warmth and personality you provided which really made me feel at ease, comfortable and right at home.

We really enjoyed our stay at Woodward House. The accommodations were warm and comfortable and Joan and Kathy were terrific hosts. The breakfast was one of the best we ever had, with the muffin being the highlight. We were able to walk to town to enjoy the Wine Festival. A memorable stay!

Amazing experience. I was welcomed after a change in travel plans with such genuine kindness and cordiality- a rarity these days. Cozy room and a beautiful, delicious breakfast. What a blessing! Highly recommended, and I will definitely return should I travel that way again.
