I was both employee and customer at this location. Terrible management who sit around and gossip/put down people all day long. Don't bother offering any suggestions. They will fall on deaf ears. The manager, Pam, and assistant manager, Krystle (sp?), are extremely unhappy and unfriendly people. Totally dysfunctional work environment and the main reason their below a '3'. That's even too gracious.

Every time I walk into this store I want to die a little. Bathrooms are always messy, something is always broken or not working (nacho machine, ice machine, soap dispenser), and the variety of products is absurd. Fun game: walk in and count how many different varieties of Reese's there are. And yet there's hardly any sour candy! And don't count on your card working at the pump! But worst of all is the staff. They wouldn't know what professionalism was if it hit them in the face. Shooting the sh** is much more important to them than taking your order or checking you out. Don't be surprised to hear them talking bad about their others coworkers when you walk in. I'm surprised it's not considered a family business as half the staff is related and there is extreme favoritism to said relatives. Always understaffed. Subway is delicious! If I could give it less than 1 star I would.

The initial test authorization fee is $91. Ridiculous! Never going here again.

The staff at this Handymart are no where near as nice as the staff at the Commerce Avenue Handymart. The manager appears to me to have a "no care, hate my job" attitude.

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, EVER have Decaf coffee when I go in. NEVER! What business are they in if they are not a coffee shop? If it is a corporate policy to only make Decaf when it is specifically asked for then this policy is a complete failure. Customers do not have time to wait on coffee to be made every single time they come in - might as well make it at home! If Handy Mart is not in the business if selling coffee and being in Customer Service, then they ought to close their doors. This particular Handy Mart location is a failure in friendliness, speed of service, and preparedness. This is a Front Royal problem as a whole, whether it's any Handy Mart here, McDonald's, or any other 'fast-food' outlet here. I am just fed up with the failure to serve their customers. If it is a cost cutting issue on the part of Handy Mart to not have a regular pot of Decaf made on the same regular basis as the caffeinated coffee, then they have failed their client base. I will no longer patronize these Handy Mart's, though I have been going to them for more than 20 years.
