Good visit for my dog's CT scan. Dr Donahue and the rest of the crew were all great. Explained everything about the procedure and answered all questions. Final bill was much less than the estimate too.

1. They saw my dog in a super timely manner
2. Dr. Valentine had great bedside manner and kept me informed and answered all of my questions
3. Josh - I can’t say enough great things about him - he commended me for coming prepared with vet records and ultra sound readings and thorough explanations
Only downside was that dr valentine was the only doctor- and unfortunately there wasn’t anyone to support with surgery
Overall it was a great experience under bad circumstance

Thank goodness these guys are here. My regular vet was unavailable and we needed to be seen Stat. Very through examination, clear communication, clearly caring attitude. Costs were explained upfront and reasonable.

Our dog Roxy came in with breathing trouble and they took care of her immediately. They were very upfront with cost. The doctors were available for any questions and explained everything! The staff was very helpful!

We brought our boy in for vomiting. They were very caring, kind and did take the extra time with Timmy that was necessary due to him being a very anxious fur baby. He received great care and the Vet was very thorough on investigating why our boy was sick. I don't think that a lot of people understand that they handle a lot of life ending situations on a daily basis. While we were there a very terminally ill fur baby came in, I know that out of pure love the family made the most difficult decision of their lives, to let him go. The compassion was evident. The families loss was their loss. We could see it on their faces. Thankyou for everything. God bless the families who loved enough to set their fur babies free to run over the rainbow bridge. My heart was with you.

After a dog attack on my lab from the neighbors Rottweiler, I was referred to Virginia Veterinary Center by my vet for emergency care. We were able to get my dog right in. They took him in right away for triage. They kept us well informed of what to expect. They provided great care, stitched him up, and got him headed on the road to healing. I highly recommend them!

If I could give them a zero rating I would! On September 28, 2024, our dog was seriously hurt with what we knew was a broken leg, it was obvious. We were not sure if she had other serious injuries which she did end up having a broken pelvic also.
We arrived at 5 pm on Sept 28, I explained what had happened to our dog and I was told that they could not see her because they were full. I begged them to please see her. She informed me she would ask and came back with the same answer. She said here is a list of vets north and south of us.
Learn from our experience, call them before you arrive because even in an emergency they will not take your pet no matter the condition of your pet or if they are suffering.
They could have just checked her quickly and got her comfortable until they could help her addressing her injuries further. I would have understood if we had to wait hours upon hours if they had at least made her comfortable where she was not suffering.
We ended up in Charlottesville, VA at Greenbrier Emergency Animal Hospital. They were top notch, I called and explained our dogs injuries and what had happened. She let me know they where extremely busy but the would take her as soon as we arrived . They did, they diagnosed her and started the pain meds to get her some comfort. Of course it was a long, long wait because they had other animals to attend to. They were very compassionate and explain our dogs injuries which required her to be seen by a specialist to operate on her. They answered all our questions, let us have time with our dog and always had our dogs best interest at heart!
If you have any emergency with your animal don’t hesitate to go to Greenbrier Emergency Animal Hospital!
If you still make the decision to go to VCC, make sure you call VVC before going, because no matter the emergency, if they are full they will not take you under any circumstances.
VCC you all should be ashamed you did not take our pet with the extent of her injuries!
Bottom line - they are not compassionate or care about any animal in dire need of medical attention.

Excellent Vet medical experience! From the receptionist, Dr, Admin check out staff! The Nurse & Dr’s Vet knowledge was exceptional. You must keep in mind this is an ER Vet Hospital, your wait may depend on the critical cases are seen first. Well worth the wait. Received amazing Vet medical services.

We were very disappointed in our visit. We spent 4 hours waiting for an evaluation and estimate for the procedure to get a ridiculous price on our kitty.
While waiting to be discharged after refusing the surgical procedure, we asked the front desk if they would give us a call when she was read to go home. We just wanted to go grab something to eat because it was so late. We were threatened that the police would be called if we left without paying a deposit or if we didn’t leave someone at the premises at all times. We definitely felt that the way this policy was implemented to us was very rude and unprofessional. WILL NEVER RETURN!

I just wanted to take a minute to thank the wonderful staff at Virginia Veterinary Center of Fredericksburg for being so kind and caring. I recently had to take my senior dog there to be euthanized. They took time to explain everything to us, listen to our concerns, and assist us in making a very difficult decision. We never felt rushed, and received the best possible care. They go the extra mile to make sure you and your pet are comfortable and things are very peaceful. I can't say thanks enough for your wonderful care.

I came home last night about 7:45 to blood everywhere and found my dog had chewed through her tail. When I called the Fredericksburg location at 8pm. I was told they weren't taking any more emergencies for the night. They were still open another 2 hours! Obviously this isn't a real emergency Vet hospital if they stop taking emergencies 2 hours before close.

Just over a month ago, we received the devastating news that my sweet girl Dobby, had end-stage renal disease. Our vet tried to treat but her disease was due to old age not toxicity. So we kept her comfortable at home until the day she showed signs that her quality of life was diminishing. We took her to our local emergency vet, Virginia Veterinary Centers, and they were so kind and compassionate during this whole painful decision. I am truly thankful for their services. VVC is a wonderful clinic that I highly recommend.
