The stylist burned me by putting the blow dryer to close to my scalp. My hair is fine so it careless on her part. Not ever going back.

This salon is extremely unprofessional. They talk about their clients amongst one another while other clients/customers are present, which I think is rude. Would not recommend for anyone who cares about hair care and commits to a healthy hair routine.

I rarely do reviews, but I wanted to take a moment and share my experience at the Haven Salon.I received the New Client Lux Package with a silk press as my style, as this was my first time getting serviced professionally at any salon in almost a year.My stylist was Aisha and it was such a pleasure. She educated me on my hair’s current state, provided input on my current regiment and explained each portion of what we were doing during my visit. My appointment was a bit lengthy (almost 4 hours) but I didn’t mind as I felt absolutely pampered and received treatment that felt personalized to my specific hair needs. Just make sure you have no plans if your getting this package :)The atmosphere was amazing, beautiful gospel music playing, all stylists inviting and very friendly, snacks and refreshments offered… and had an authentic beauty shop feel where all stylist were highly educated and experienced dealing with whatever texture came in the door.My hair felt AMAZING from the wash bowl !! My hair was trimmed perfectly, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Truly got the hair RESET I needed to get back on track.Needless to say I will be back with Aisha soon for a maintenance appointment.Services: Blowdry

I have been following Ruby on IG for a few years now and finally decided to make an appointment with her and I am SO glad I did. The Haven Salon is very easy to find and parking is convenient. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with kindness and great vibes. The salon is very clean and the staff was very warm, welcoming and inclusive. Ruby took her time to listen to my hair concerns, educate me about my hair, and suggest what products to use and avoid. My hair looks and feels amazing and I cannot wait for my next appointment. This salon met my expectations and more. I had my first appointment with Ruby on Saturday and she exceeded my expectations. She listens! She heard my concerns, she asked her owns questions, and gave me a regimen to stick to until my next appointment. My family and I moved back to VA almost two years ago this year and I hadn’t been to a real salon since living in California. My last trim was July 2022. When I informed Ruby of my hair goals and knowing I needed a good healthy cut, she suggested a sleek bob and she mastered it. I left the salon feeling brand new, feeling beautiful, feeling like dead weight had been lifted. The environment is wonderful. Thank you isn’t even enough, & I can’t wait to see her again in March. I would DEFINITELY recommend this salon.

The owner and stylists are very unprofessional and rude. They talk negatively about their clients in front of other clients. The owner will even go as far as blacklisting a client for communicating specific hair care needs. Until they treat their paying customers with respect, they will continue to lose valuable business.Services: Hairstyling

Firstly, I walked into this clean and pretty salon on a very busy day, Saturday, and I struck luck. I was greeted pleasantly by the owner and was offered a stylist and asked to return in one hour. I did, and with minimal wait time, I had a dead, damaged, head of hair transformed to life and beauty. The service was quick, and I was completely satisfied with the care and results. Truly a satisfied client. I got exactly what I asked for, assess my hair, treat it, and do a simple cut. Well, I actually got more, recommendations for healthier hair. My stylist (So sorry I am terrible at remembering names.) was on point??? I would definitely recommend the Haven Salon... Thanks a million.

This place is amazing and absolutely GORGEOUS! The decor is beautiful, and atmosphere has an (updated) old school “beauty shop” feel (minus the sitting and waiting under the dryer). Back when we go to the beauty shop, cackle, talk about the last movie you saw, current events, complain about traffic….THAT feel. This isn’t the place you just “get your hair done”, this is the place where YOUR HAIR WILL GROW! I haven’t felt this is in a looooooong time! I almost thought it was a lost art. The service was impeccable. In between chit chatting, Aisha, who did my new client treatment, LISTENED to my concerns and suggested a course of action that would not only make my hair healthy but make it look good. When I left, she gave me directions on what to get to keep my hair healthy but also looking good. I see why they get high ratings. Yes, my hair looks great, but it FEELS great.
