This rating is for the outlet side not the store, workers are always super friendly, kind and personable with me. Most of them will help me out with bagging my items (I usually have over 200 pounds). They always are nice to other customers and keep it clean. I see other reviews about gross stuff in the bins, I've come across a few gross things but I'm pretty sure that comes with the territory. As for them selling higher end items for more online, Ive found some pretty nice stuff YSL, Louis Vuitton, etc. you just have to be patient and go through everything. The only thing you won't find here are good shoes, not sure why. The Richmond outlet has excellent shoes but is almost 2+ hours from Me. Plus the staff are awful. I'll stick here we're people are friendly and I feel comfortable.

I am not the kind of person who turns their nose up at thrift stores or yard sales, I love the thrill of the find and I don't mind digging in bins. I've been to the one in Hampton a hundred times and found tons of great stuff. But this outlet is gross. It smells awful inside, like mildew, must, and urine all covered with a febreeze dryer sheet. It's so smelly in there it's hard to keep a straight face when you're digging because that just ruffles the smell around even more. Also, the Hampton outlet will occasionally have socks, bras, or CLEAN underwear in the bins, but this outlet has clean AND unclean ones. It's not uncommon to see stained underwear in the bins mixed in with clothing. And the last time I went in I saw several items of clothing (jeans and shirts) that clearly had blood stains on them. I feel gross when I leave there, and I didn't feel that way in the Hampton store at all. I was also shocked they charge you for a bag. It's less than $1 but I hadn't heard of another Goodwill doing that. I'd really hoped that I had just come in on slow, off days, and that most days the outlet is cleaner, has better stuff, and doesn't smell to high heaven. But I've now been in 3 times on a Saturday, Tuesday, and Wednesday and each time was as displeasing.

This goodwill store is poorly managed and customer service is abysmal. They sell a lot of their higher-end items on ShopGoodwill.com along with the entire country's goodwill stores who are on to this selling technique. My experience with them, for the first and last time, has been with ONE item, that somehow turned in to FIVE orders, and all charged to my credit card. For the past four days, I have been communicating with a mystery person who will not identify themselves. You can imagine the sordid details in an anonymous person's emails when they don't think they need to be responsible for their actions, inactions, inappropriate behavior and lack of any professionalism in representing this retail store. It bothers me a lot since all of these goodwills state that they are selling their high-end donations to help train those in their community that needs a helping hand. Makes me wonder who's training, evaluating and monitoring the management of this store. This "person" finally managed to reverse three of the five charges today. They continue to ignore the other two charges that are in plain view of my account when I go to my open/unpaid auction items and they're just sitting there. It also bothers me that anyone who has an account on this website has a maximum of 15 items that can go unpaid for a period of seven days, to allow for combined shipping should you win another item from the same store, and that these two outstanding and incorrect items are helping me reach my maximum unpaid items much quicker. If that wasn't poor enough management for anyone reading this review, this person then blocked me from making any future purchases/bidding, due to my "disrespectful" and "foul" language in my email communications. They finally said that they are in the midst of a huge overhaul of their computer software that supports all of their sales on this site. That would mean that ALL GOODWILL STORES WHO PARTICIPATE ON THIS SITE ARE GOING THROUGH THE SAME 'HUGE' OVERHAUL WITH THEIR SOFTWARE. I've had no such problem with any other goodwill store and have been doing business on this site with hundreds of goodwill stores for years. You may want to do your buying IN PERSON and ensure that you check your credit card statement regularly if used for a transaction at this goodwill store because their runaway train charging technique can get quite expensive!

Sign in front of the store says 50% off of ______ color STICKER & NOODLE but they only refer to noodle when checking out. Other than that the store is wonderful, organized by color, and has friendly staff!
