I signed up to get my open water certification despite being really uncomfortable with the idea of scuba diving because my friend has always wanted to do it and I agreed to do it with her. The entire staff at The Scuba Shack has been nothing short of wonderful. I have ADHD and Carson never once got frustrated with me asking him to reiterate the order of the skills we were going to perform after he was finished explaining them and was happy to always answer all of my million questions. Bob pays great attention to detail which helped my friend and I become better divers. His frank, but kind personality kept us laughing. Both instructors were able to stress the importance of how to safely execute the skills we were learning without causing anxiety or making us nervous. They were very attentive during exercises, had one student go at a time making sure they were able to assist each student if necessary. The class was taught in a stress-free way that allowed us to genuinely learn. I went into this extremely nervous about scuba diving and came out excited about all of the new opportunities to adventure that will open up for me once I am finished getting certified.

The dive trips from The Scuba Shack have become our families annual trips as we find new places to visit and activities for all. It’s been a great experience! The pro team works with you where you’re at and will support you direction of learning more.

I visited the shop needing a suit and had many questions. The owner was patient and very helpful. I was a bit shy about my ignorance in all things regarding diving and snorkeling. He made me feel comfortable. I highly recommend this sweet little locally owned business. You won’t be disappointed.

If you are looking to break-into the world of scuba diving, or are looking for advanced scuba training, look no further. The owners and staff are professional, competent, and a pleasure to dive with. Further, they make it easy for, and instill confidence in, those who are not quite sure that diving is for them. Highly recommended -- I would also go on a pleasure dive trip (non-training) with them any day!

We completed our PADI Open Water Certification with Scuba Shack and it was a great experience! The instructors are very knowledgeable and supportive throughout the entire training process. Highly recommend Scuba Shack for training or for gear!!!

Can’t really speak on the “scuba-ness” of their shop, however my friends and I go there to fill up our paintball tanks and they are always helpful and friendly!

I've purchased several items from these folks. My Aqua Lung BCD, prescription mask, regulator with dive computer etc, were all fitted by the professional staff and assurances were made that if I have any issues with them I could always come in to get help. This is the shop I prefer.
