I cannot stress enough how much I love this company. No one comes close to the customer service these guys provide. Josh was able to help me with shipping and other needs and I asked a lot to see if he could make it happen, he went above and beyond to make things work for me way more than I expected. I would refer this brand to anyone and there gear is top notch. I've had guns for 10 years (with bands and line replaced of course) that still shoot and preform like new. Again thanks to the guys at MAKO and if your looking for a company to take care of you these are your guys.

This is a real stand up company. They listen to the customer and make a informed decision as best they can. I also being a business owner makes me feel great giving business to other companies that value the relationships with there customers. After buying a spear fishing wet suit, I also bought a striped fish fiber glass wall mount and a massive wahoo fiber glass wall mount. I cannot wait for them to come in so I can show them off in my office. Thank you so much MAKO for making my experience so special. Very knowledgeable and Friendly staff. Talked diving and fishing. Ended up buying a cobia replica mount. They do a lot of trips out of Oregon inlet.

Small, local, one shop location on the east coast! Dano has been answering questions by email promptly, and by phone. I visited to purchase freedive and spearfishing items. Website is clear. The shop is busy! All the employees busy preparing orders, and Josh took the time for my interest to ask questions and fit me with fins, snorkel, masks, etc. I will continue to buy items from this place as my overall spearfishing time grows. The employees use the same gear they sell.

You don't want to do business with this company. They don't return messages, don't issue returns without complaining (strangely, Amazon ended up issuing the return), and worst of all THEY SEND THE WRONG SIZES IN AN ORDER!!!!

I have tons of gear from mako. Both ofMy roller guns are from them. I have fins, masks, snorkels, a pole spear, reels. All of it is awesome. Customer service is fantastic. Everyone that works for them is also a spearo. Nothing I've gotten from them has failed me except one mask I dropped a weight belt on. Their roller set ups are the most well balanced pipe guns I've ever used. The barrel float that comes with them just gives them the perfect buoyancy. They feel weightless underwater and float up to the surface without the shaft in them. The enclosed track version is sick also. You don't really find enclosed track aluminum pipe guns like this. The things a laser. The pre made bands on my rollers from them have exactly the right pre tension. I beat the heck out of my gear too. Alot of surf launches on my paddle board and quite a few surf exit yard sales. Everything has always stayed in one piece.

First of all, Dano is very responsive, and for the most part they offer terrific pricing on spear gear. I have bought quite a bit from MAKO, and have usually been very satisfied. The only reason I am giving 3 stars is that 2 years ago I went spearfishing in the Bahamas and bought 2 full polespear setups from MAKO for me and my son. I paid for the slip-tips because we get some good-sized fish over there. To be honest, I paid for the cheaper slip-tips that they offered.But these slip tips absolutely did not work. They would not disengage from the receiver because of a design flaw, and we lost a lot of good fish since they tips stayed stuck on the receiver.So I got in touch with Dan, and he was very quick to respond, which I appreciated. I told him of the problem, and suggested some changes based on other slip-tips I had seen. He appreciated the input and I said I wanted to buy his new version - or the more expensive slip-tips he offers. He kindly offered to give me credit towards new slip-tips of the value of the old (non-working) tips. I thought that was AWESOME and really professional.Never heard a word back.....

Unmatched customer service. Great to call on the phone and get answers to any questions, and they take care of their customers. Awesome company, my teak rail-gun is gorgeous as well.
