Had a pretty terrible experience here. They did not return the old parts I asked for. Truck left me on the side of the road 3 times within 3000 miles of service. Poorly mounted sensor broke off, hose clamp popped off, was not properly torqued. Failed to notice cracked up pipes while the cab was removed. Tune they loaded on ecm lied about fuel economy. Would never return. Truck registered 5mpg when I picked it up, fairly certain they were joy riding, I've never seen it drop that low. Must have had fun.

Tim at this shop helped us when we were in a huge bind. We broke down halfway home to Florida and they were able to get us in and help right away, which was not expected at all. They were very reasonable and super friendly. I am thoroughly impressed and would recommend this shop to anyone!

Knowledgeable and super friendly. Tim did his best to get us back on the road and got our truck back up and running for our journey home.

Some diesel shops are clearly only trying to make as much money as possible and charge insane rates. These guys were very knowledgeable and actually saved me some money. I requested that a whole slew of parts be replaced because my truck was making some bad noises. They called me before they started working on it and said "hey if you want, we can replace all this stuff but the noises are coming from some bad pulleys and that's it. Literally saved me $1,000 bucks. Not to mention they only took half a day to get my truck fixed and back to me. I highly recommend these guys for anyone in the DC area looking for a diesel shop. I have a 2011 Ram 3500 Cummins and I will continue to use these guys.

NO real knowledge or skill. Just best guesses and throwing parts at a problem.

Bought a 16’ f250 6.7L power stroke from a dealer. Had the the truck for 5 days before she started knocking. Eventually brought it over to these guys to get her fixed. They ordered and installed a new long block within 2 weeks! They were very very thorough after they put it in. I got it back on a Tuesday, and was able to drive a round trip of 2k miles and able to see my family for the holidays. Huge thank you to the guys here. They kept on their word, and communication was excellent throughout the entire process. Will be coming back here if any issues occur. 10/10 recommend for anyone.

Bottom line, I'll check out other shops next time. Took my 7.3 to Knucklehead in April 2020. The staff was friendly and easy to work with there were just a few things that were a bit annoying. Communication: I was told the truck was going to be done on Friday, I didn't even get a call to tell me that wasn't going to happen and had to wait until The following week, Monday they still didn't contact me...I called them and found out it wouldn't be until Tuesday. Quality of work: They did an EBPV delete, which with 7.3s requires closing off the sensor (a single resistor) otherwise it will throw a code. They just left my truck with the code, I feel like as they're the professionals this should have been fixed prior to me driving away...just hoping that the CEL isn't for something else. Finally, I got a surprise from them! An extra 4% charge for paying with a credit card...about $50...This wouldn't of been so annoying if they had just told me the actual price, even the receipt shows the lesser amount, I called them back to find out why I had been charged extra and that's when I was informed of the credit card fee.

Tim and the gang at Knucklehead are awesome. They are knowledgeable and fairly priced. Tim has always gotten me taken care of with all of the repairs and upgrades I've needed to have done in a timely manner. Thanks Knucklehead!

The mechanics at this "shop" are nothing but truck enthusiast fresh out of high school kids trying to learn the trade. Don't take in big jobs if you don't understand the work and skill level they require. Had I known this ahead of time I wouldn't have let my wife drop my truck off and would have saved me over 4 thousand dollars. Three weeks of being out of my truck, calling daily for a status update meanwhile driving by after hours and seeing my truck in the exact same spot for 11 days and never touched. It was "supposedly" repaired, yet the issues at pickup were still there and I was told that they couldn't duplicate the problem. So you just swapped out a ton of parts in hopes to clear the issue, meanwhile all they did was clear some codes and swap some parts without actual diagnostics performed. I've since had to go to the dealership and have been told someone tampered with my ecm. All to find out now I have to go through this whole process to get the correct reflash and hope my ecm is salvageable.

Took my 2016 Ram 2500 to theses guys based on a few friends recommendations. Normally I do my own work because I’m pretty OCD but life has been busy and I just didn’t have a whole day to do nothing but install ball joints.
