Incredibly helpful staff with an excellent selection of books. I was able to find one book I've spent ages searching for, they ordered me another one, and recommended another bookstore in town that had the last two books I was missing for the series.

I just called to ask a simple question about whether or not they still carried a toy that we had gotten there years ago, and the woman who took my call was so incredibly rude and dismissive that I was very disappointed, as a long time patron and customer of this store.

We love Jabberwocky! I remember going here when I was younger and I now take my children. The staff is always so welcoming and kind. You always feel like you want to stay and play for hours. Billy is usually the face behind the counter and he’s always so helpful. Love this sweet store.

Sure, you could probably find the items in this store on Amazon and save a buck or two. On top of supporting small local businesses, it's nice to have a place to shop like a kid and let them naturally gravitate to certain things. Worth the buck or two for sure!

My three grandchildren have been home for over 3 weeks. I wanted to do something to surprise them. I called the store and we went over possible gifts for the children ages7 to 8 months. They packaged them in cute bags with a note from Mimi and delivered them to the house since I live in another city. Wonderful experience and the kids were so surprised. Thanks for a great experience!

I love this book store. Even though I did not purchase at the time, I will be back primarily for their selection of books. The coolest ones I saw were the children’s versions of classic novels like Frankenstein, Alice in wonderland and I believe a Jane Austin book. If you’re looking for kids books that you don’t find in usual book stores, this place is where to go.

This is a charming store. So welcoming and friendly. Their mixture of toys, games, and books is delightful.I love that we have such a store in downtown Fredericksburg and I want to be the kind of local who shops nearby instead of online. My one caveat to my unabashed love for Jabberwocky is the timeliness. I don’t expect always to be able to walk out with just anything, but I was surprised to find the most recent Caldecott medal winner not on the shelf.No problem, happy to order it, and wait the 3-5 days indicated. After two weeks of waiting, I eventually phoned the store to see if perhaps it had come in, but the gentleman informed me it might possibly be in next week, depending on the weather. That will put us at the three week point. I do understand circumstances outside of delivery control, but three weeks is a far cry from 5 days, even winter weather factoring. I would loved to have received a call if and when they realized the delay to then give me the choice as to continue to wait the additional two weeks or to order my books a different route.As long as you aren’t in any hurry (and I originally wasn’t, but three weeks is far longer than I would have expected a book delivery to take), or if you’re lucky enough to find the perfect item in store, you’re in for a treat.
