Truly a staple small business in our hearts and home. Fort does it all, from birthday parties to presents big and small. Every experience with them is wonderful and special and unique, it’s our go-to for the perfect gift or a casual mood lift. The ladies that work there have outdone themselves making magical memorable experiences for anyone who enters those doors. The adults love it just as much as the kids! The fort shop and staff radiate positivity and add so much beauty to this world. We love you fort and team! Thank you for being a shining light on Caroline Street!

Thg perfect store for parents looking for Montessori or sensory friendly toys.Great selection and variety, without any of the plastic, gimmicky stuff.They sell create your own sensory bins. And the atomospehere is very sensory friendly.Would recommend for neuro-divergent families.

Lovely store right in the main shopping area of Fredericksburg. Took the kid there later in the evening and she enjoyed just looking around. Lots of high quality toys and eclectic items for children. They also offer these sensory boxes and other items you can have your child craft. The staff was very nice and let us mix up the design a bit to her liking. They also offer birthday party options and I believe construct their own dollhouses, which is impressive. Great to see old world toymaking in a modern form.

Some things are definitely overpriced, but you can't find what they carry in Any other store. The next time I have money, I will definitely be building a smaller sensory box, because they look like a Lot of fun to make.

This is such a cute store with some amazing and unique toys for kids. It's a little more pricey for the toys than your average toy from a department store but they are well worth it.

Had a hard time putting the parking garage together & I got a bad batch of play dough. But I came back and got the play dough switched and the parking garage put together with ease. Maddie is super sweet !

Really cute kid's toy store full of bespoke wooden toys, costumes, and build-your-own sensory play boxes. My daughter loves this store and we always end up leaving with some kind of miniature animals and felted trinkets.

Just had another amazing FORT box-build experience with my 3 year old for his birthday. The staff was so amazing and patient and made it such a memorable experience for us. Now we have a beautiful little box at home for all the open ended play!

If you are going to require a child under 5 (our.little was 2 year old) to wear a mask in your store or have to leave the store, maybe have some masks available for customers and more importantly their children. No where is this the case and its ridiculous to think adults would have masks for their children under 5. They were unfriendly in their approach as well. The store has a right to have whatever policy they want but it is poor customer service to no facilitate customers visiting their shop but having masks available.They also promted us to use hand sanitizer which we had already tried to do but their sanitizer was empty. The person checked themselves (as if we were lying) and said "oh" and then walked away without refilling or offering us sanitizer.Overall and especially when selling such high priced items, I expect much more attention to detail and customer service. It was disappointing and I will not be visiting this store again.

My littles LOVED building their Fort to-go sensory boxes in store it was such a fun experience and they can play with these mini boxes for HOURS! Great service as well! We will definitely be back.

So upset with this store. Passed by today and from what I saw a lot of the toys looked montessori aligned. So I promised my TWO year old after lunch we would stop by to pick out a new toy for her montessori playroom. We were really excited to check it out, but as soon as we walked in we were told we could not be in there unless my TWO year had mask. A TWO year that is ridiculous. This also made my TWO year old very upset because obviously she does not understand why we had to leave so promptly. We could have avoided this situation if the girl outside would have mentioned that before we walked in. Now sadly you have lost a customer. And maybe change your ridiculous mask rules for older kids who actually understand why they have to wear a mask.
