Discount tire is awesome. Ever since I discovered the location in Fredricksburg I have been using their services when I need tire service and wipers for my vehicles. From now on they are the only place I will buy tires from. The service is always great as well as the prices. Their wipers are also premium quality that seem to last longer and run quiet at a great price. Glad I discovered these guys!

I’ve been here twice, and everyone I’ve interacted with has been so courteous and professional. The work gets done in the time estimated. They had to order my tires and deal with a Pirelli road hazard warranty—no problem. Thank you, Discount Tire!

Bought tires from tire rack online, they arrived in two days and I made an appointment online for that afternoon. Tire rack quoted $100 for mounting and balancing and it was actually only $84 total for all four tires, no hidden fees at all. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes (probably spent most of that time paying/checking in), they updated me while it was being worked on, were very friendly and efficient. It’s a very busy place but they were quick! Lots of comfortable seating to wait. They even offered to check my spare for free.

I had to swap my tires twice to get ones that worked for me, but Discount Tire was fantastic and I am very happy with my purchase! This is the only place I will ever buy tires from again.

For basic tires they are ok. They take a bit of time to get them on. That said, they can not do suspension. Any tire shop that does not perform alignments or suspension is not to be trusted, in that bad suspension leads to premature wear on your tires in different ways that lead to failure. A tire shop is happy to keep replacing them. A real shop wants you as a customer that is safe in their vehicle, and is honest in their work.
There is another “tire” shop not to far away, and does suspension and alignments. More honest practice, and definitely worth the money and time. I will not return to a tire and rim only business. They cost too much money to be torn up by worn out parts, and bad alignment. No you can’t have good alignment with bad suspension.

My faith in Discount Tire has been restored!
After a frustrating experience at the Williamsburg store, I was ready to walk away from Discount Tire after 12 years of loyalty. I never expected such poor service.
To keep it brief: I had a flat tire while in town for an important meeting (I live in DC). The Williamsburg store was swamped, and despite my situation, they wasted a lot of my time, left me standing in 95-degree heat, and never actually fixed the tire. Worse yet, I was facing a two-hour drive back home and couldn’t safely do it on that tire. Despite knowing this, they didn’t work with me on any solution—whether it was swapping out the spare, letting me pick up the tire later, or even filling it with air. I was left stranded, late to my meeting, with no communication or help from the staff.
After reaching out to corporate, I was connected with the right person (keeping names private for their sake) who made things right. They directed me to the Fredericksburg store, where the manager personally met me and took care of everything. He was easy to talk to, communicated clearly, and worked with me to resolve all the issues. This time, I wasn’t in a rush, and the experience was night and day compared to Williamsburg.
Sometimes, all it takes is good communication and a helping hand when someone is in need. They definitely made things right for me, and I look forward to being a Discount Tire customer for another 10 years. A big thank you to the manager at the Fredericksburg store and the regional manager!
