The new people here at corky's are very rude, ask about the other owners, and had smart and untruth remarks, this store was great when the Coble's had it for years. the old town good people. YOU HAVE ALREADY RUINED THIS STORE WITH YOUR ACTIONS. I WILL NOT BE BACK...................... NOR MY FAMILY , NASTY STORE NOW WITH NASTY PEOPLE.

Out for lunch sign for 20 minutes and wasted more than one hour waiting for the guy to open the store. I knocked on the door and the guy said that he was eating his lunch. I stood in front the store and people just tried to go in but kept on walking because of the out to lunch sign. The guy is probably taking a siesta.

Agreeing with other recent reviews, this was a GREAT place under "Corky."I didn't know it had been sold; I called two days ago to see about selling back a brand new pair of unused military boots. That used to be ok, but not anymore. I tried to ask where he might suggest I could take them, but was not able to finish the question before he hung up the phone. Have to agree with other reviews for rudeness. They really should change the name; it's not Corky's anymore.May Corky enjoy retirement though; a great guy & pleasure to do business with, for 2 decades. (For our family)

Cheap, Chinese knock offs and goods served with a horrible attitude, selling fake 24$ Benchmade knives for 170$. The original owner "nickname Corky" was one of the most kind and generous souls in Fredericksburg. Many kids grew up coming here and learning about history, memorabilia, and military surplus. I used to buy my paintballs and refill my air here for the paintball guns, buy knives, MREs, pretty much anything... This business was a staple within the community. Unfortunately, the new owner and his son or whoever works there knows none of this and, has one of the most intolerable attitudes of any downtown business. They are deeply rude and disrespectful. If you even MENTION the original owner, they lose their minds. This was a trusted business with law enforcement and firefighters for gear. Now, it is a shell of its former glory, selling knock off, cheap, Chinese goods, and some items are actual forgeries of real brand-name items. I read some of the other negative reviews and they are 100% accurate. Buyer Beware

Law Enforcement and Veterans: If Corky knew what would happen to this place after he sold it he would lose his mind. These are some of the most disrespectful, arrogant, people working in this place. Don't come here, they do not respect veterans or law enforcement. Ever since he sold it, it's been a disgrace to the community. I grew up with this store for 30 plus years. The top hat wearing punk is an absolute disgrace and openly degrades his customers. He has zero respect for the history of this establishment or the people who helped build it.

Great place to go for all of your military and police needs! Even through this generation of police and military hate they are NOT CLOSED, they are remodeling and will be back June 6th. They have great customer service and an amazing selection wether your active duty, retired, or just a civilian they have a great selection with great prices, definitely recommend checking them out!

If your a minority avoid this place. BOTH times me or my trainees come in to try on PLATE CARRIERS for active training you hear the two talking behind our Back about ITS A BLACK THING. or THATS WHAT THE DO FOR RAP VIDEOS. it's only the short pudgy guy who open Carrys and the skinny ginger looking guy. EVERYONE ELSE IS ABSOLUTELY FRIENDLY. I would've gave them a free invite to the course but they'd rather giggle amongst themselves about a licensed professional. AVOID THIS PLACE

Old owner was amazing, but the shop has changed hands recently and has subsequently fallen apart. Horrible customer service and the new owner is very rude. Not even a real military surplus store now since they mostly carry newly made firearms and accessories. Sorry to see Corky go, but I wish him a happy retirement…

Been there a few times over the years but as of 05/02 I guess it's closing. Arrived around 1530 and the place was closed, on a Tuesday.

PERMANENTLY CLOSED. This was a small novelty/surplus store with a rather small inventory of actual military surplus. What they did have was well priced and more often than not, unique. They kind of stuck out like a sore thumb in the yuppy, Gen X, Y, Z crowd of Old Town Freddy Vega, which was fun. I guess they were finally bought or taxed out. They'll be missed!

Do you staff is helpful and friendly. Very conveniently located in historic downtown Fredericksburg. Used them for a firearm transfer. Good cigars. Great cigars. And the surplus items are handy. Good Gunsmith.
