Stay very clear of this place ! My children only attended for 2 in a half months and it’s been nothing but issues. The director Sophie is the rudest person ever, she has argued with me in the foyer (that's very classy) She does not and should not work around children with an attitude like that. Fama the assistant director is just clueless and made a snarky comment to my 9 year old, if he didn't like the lunch that was served then tell your mom to take you to another daycare. Who says that to a child ?? They are always out of ratio every morning the teachers have so many children it's ridiculous.
The only good thing about this place is the district manager Kelly she was very prompt on my concerns and very apologetic.

My child attended this daycare, in the toddlers room for literally only a day and a half. Fortunately they have cameras in their class rooms you can access. Through their own camera system I watched my child's teacher change 3 different children's diapers then handle sippy cups with the exact same pair of gloves. I immediately withdrew my child from the program. When I spoke to the director about this matter she stated they would go over handwashing with the staff. Someone could get seriously ill from this! Also staffing ratios seem off, the director is constantly running around trying to fill spots because they lack adequate staff. My complaint was recently investigated and affirmed as accurate by the VA health dept and can be viewed on the DSS website.

My niece and nephew simply cannot stop raving about their days at Childtime. They are always excited when they get dropped off, and they love telling me all about the different activities they did. The staff is very sincere and respectful. In these troubling times, child enrichment is super important and I believe that the folks at Childtime are doing a phenomenal job! Keep up the great work!

I would never recommend anyone to work here unless they want to get treated poorly, used and deal with drama from management and employees. Susan the director had not a clue how to run a center. Her and the assistant director make employees wait 30+ min to use the restroom because they have no staff. There are teachers there who aren’t there for the right reasons. I would be careful leaving your child in there care. They barely clean anything. I was on my knees scrubbing the classroom floors. There is so much wrong with this center and I feel terrible for the children who go there. I’m not writing this to be malicious just to make PARENTS aware of how burnt out their employees are how some are there for a paycheck. Bless those kids and the families that have to deal with that dysfunctional center. Watch those cameras carefully parents!!

My nephew and niece love it here at Childtime! They are always coming home with the most interesting stories about their day.The staff are super sweet!Nothing more reassuring than hearing a child ask for their teachers on the weekends.

The management team is excellent at this center. I personally worked with Sophie at another school a couple of years ago and she is amazing with staff, kids and families. They are doing wonderful things at their center and they strive to make everyone happy!!

Started out good with my child in the infant 1 room she loved going to daycare everyday and loved her teachers thennn the bad part my child turned one was transferred to the infant 2 room where they literally hired the most ghetto nastiest attitude people who dont love kids they just work there for a paycheck employees. I also contacted the center to voice my concerns with my child not being taken care of and included in the classroom the center director literally brushed off everything i said and how i felt. Dont go to this place if you love your kids. Better off dropping them off in the hood and having the crackheads watch them honestlyNow theres a open investigation with cps at this center. This place is trash from management to the employess

The manager Ms. Wright does not follow the privacy act guidelines nor does she follow the guidelines for the amount of students that are suppose to be in a classroom with the amount of teachers. The facility has gone down since many good staff members have quit due to management at this facility. When you ask for upper manager no one contact you back and Ms. Wright refuses to give you the upper managements information to contact. The facility has had many maintenance problems that has lead to them closing the facility and not giving parents proper notice. We where not notified either when my granddaughter started having behavior problem out of the blue which we had not had any problems prior with her until she was placed in classroom with not enough adult supervision and another child started biting her and was not reported right away. We found out once my granddaughter stated someone bit her and then we had to ask question. I believe upper management needs to either step in and take a hard look at how this facility is being run or they will end up with a law suit for neglect before someone ends up hurt.

I will list the Pros and Cons of whether or not you believe you should send your child to Childtime of Fredericksburg. I will mention for this post that the 6 Cons far outweigh the 4 Pros. We made the choice to pull our child from this daycare for the following reasons: Pros (4): 1) The main teachers for the toddlers room under 2 to 1 years old are amazing. They care about the kids and try to educate as best as they can. 2) They provided gifts/bags (i.e. candies, snacks, kids arts and crafts) for holidays to parents. The spirit weeks are also nice. 3) Daycare prices are very affordable. 4) They provide diapers for kids. Cons (6): 1) Security is suspect. There is a check in system and code lock but this is rendered ineffective due to piggybacking and there is hardly anyone ever at the front desk. There are questionable people who sometimes roam/linger the parking lot due to being off a main road and next to a gas station. 2) Cleanliness is a SEVERE issue. (There is no cleaning service that comes in at any point of the week. In the afternoons, it smells like diapers "urine and feces" in the front lobby. The teachers barely have time to clean the rooms and toys due to being under staffed.) (My child caught pink eye 3 times over the course of 2 weeks. Has had croup cough 3 times, and a number of upper respiratories over 6-8 months. And caught COVID-19 once.) 3) Safety is a yellow flag. (On the first day my child started, in transition of morning and afternoon staff they sent my child outside without a coat because they misplaced it this was in February.)(Another instance they sent my child outside missing one of their shoes). 4) Communication is not present. (Communication from the Daycare Director to the staff and parents is lacking drastically.) (You ask the director one thing you get a different answer from the staff.) (One instance, a teach told us pink eye was going around the daycare we called the daycare office to see how many pink eye cases they had she said 0, my child had pink eye the following week.) (Another instance we were told water day was one day we brought our child in for daycare in swim attire. Just for us to be told once we got to the daycare that we would need to come back with clothes. We were late for a meeting because of that.) 5) Staff Turnover is evident. There are no updates of when a new teacher enters the classroom or leaves and what the new careproviders credentials are with the parents 6) Curriculum not present. There was never one presented or explained to us. Eventhough they say there is one on the website we have never seen one provided for our child. For the saftey of your child and your peace of mind our suggestion is to choose wisely. Sincerely,Concerned Parents
