Terrific hair salon; very friendly and welcoming.
I called for an appointment and they were able to accommodate my schedule.
Brooke listened to what I wanted, and gave me an excellent cut. She recommended a product (after I asked) and I am happy with her recommendation.
Street parking is available, but limited. There is a large, free parking lot by the river; less than a five minute walk.

We have been going here for years!!! Love taking my teens, my littles, and myself!!! My husband also gets his hair cut here. Love that this is a family business, we love the family that owns and runs it. Cannot recommend this place enough! Please check them out if you are looking for a place to get your hair cut/styled/colored!!!!

Made appointments for my 2 daughters. The youngest (12) wanted a shampoo cut and style and my oldest (14) wanted a big chop transformation because she is going into highschool. Nothing went as planned. Our appointments started at 11:30 and we walked out at 11:42. She didnt shampoo or stlyle my 12 y/o and took all of 7 minutes to cut her hair. Then when my oldest sat down and we tried to explain what she wanted the stylist said she didnt recommend bangs because its summer. I got bangs in the same month at the same salon 2 years ago. I tried to politely insist that she did want the bangs and we could manage them. She dug her heels in at which point I became assertive and tried to stand up for what I knew my daughter wanted. This interaction made my kid upset so we walked out. $40 for a dry cut that took less than 10 minutes. It's now 12:04 pm. All of this took 34 minutes. Not the fun girly self care day we envisioned. The owner just stood there and watched it all play out and said nothing. We have spent hundreds of dollars getting my 12 year olds hair colored here over the past few years and I was going to book another color appointment today but now I guess were finding a new stylist who actually wants to cut hair.

I actually am staying for a while right next door too this Business, sit outside very often through the day. See men and Women go in and come out! There's very Beautiful work coming in out of this business! I have yet too see a man or Woman or younger come out not absolutely Beautiful, just Gorgious and yes, Men too looking extremely Handsome!!!Well worth making an appointment, my first apointment will be soon! I have tried multiple salons in the area, and this was my best experience by far.1. There was no wait.2. Fran listened to what I wanted and took time to assess my hair before beginning. I have never experienced so much attention to detail. I have very blonde hair, and he took time to make sure all my layers were even.3. The service was incredibly friendly.4. I asked for tips on how to French braid my hair, and he took time to show me.5. Very reasonably priced. It was only $30 for a dry cut.6. The shop is very cute and clean.7. Fran styled my hair in a beautiful waterfall braid and curled it.Service: Haircut

I called Carter Hair Design looking for a stylist to update my color and cut before my engagement shoot for my wedding, and I could not have made a better decision. Not only was Fran, my stylist, incredibly kind and infectiously exuberant, but he was genuinely invested in making my vision a reality. And he did.
