C-Street Salon offers a decently relaxing experience. In the heart of adorable Fredericksburg- the family owned salon created a stress free atmosphere in a somewhat stressful day. Jans knowledge, the kindness of the entire family & their attention to detail created a stress free atmosphere. The shampoo scalp scrub and mini massage with conditioner are particularly indulgent. I expect stylists to follow my instructions, and Jan delivers a professional and polished service. Very impressed. Prices were mainly as expected. Cut/Color/Style was 170. We expected around 160, so they were very close. My husbands cut was thirty-five, and we had figured 40.
What a beautiful building they're in & right at the top of the staircase. We are only on the East Coast for a limited time. But I do believe I've found my personal stylist for the next visit. Stop in to see her soon, cause she gets booked up.
Specialties: She knows how to thin curly hair. Not a lot of stylists do.

I'm giving 2 stars because my haircut looks good enough but I did not enjoy the experience. I will say, everyone I spoke to was very nice and they did squeeze me in at the last minute, so I appreciate that. However, my experience wasn't great. The woman who did my hair was VERY rough. I said "ouch" several times while she scrubbed my scalp with her nails and then again while she was coming my hair with a fine tooth comb. She hit several knots but one of them wouldn't come out. She just kept ripping through it until I put my hand on my head and told her it hurts too much to continue doing that. Then she got a different brush and did it again but it did come out after a few tries, thankfully. She also talks the entire time, which I don't have an issue with, but she stops working when she talks and that doubled my time there, plus she kept getting so close to my ear that her nose and lips were on the side of my face and I could smell her breath. This is my first time here. I don't have any sort of close report with her and it made me extremely uncomfortable. I tried just nodding and smiling so the conversation would die off but it didn't. I basically jumped out of the chair to leave because I was uncomfortable and needed to get out of there. I got a basic cut and it does look good. She was a sweet person but getting in someone's personal space and being so rough when it's their first time at your salon is troubling. I can honestly say that's the worst experience I've had at a salon and I won't be returning.

In town for a wedding, I needed a cut and style. I told Jan I needed a light style for a guest at a wedding reception, not a member of the party. That was it. She gave me the perfect style, and the haircut was the best I have had in a decade. Will definitely go back next time I visit! Hopefully soon.Services: Hairstyling

I was in town for just one night and Jan was kind enough to fit me in last minute for a mani/pedi. Her and her sister made me feel at home, comfortable and taken care of. The mani/pedi was excellent and held up well over the rest of my vacation. Thank you so much again, Jan, for fitting me in last minute and doing such a fantastic job!!!!

Jan is absolutely the best. She colored my hair several times and the color always comes out right. She's great when it comes to styling my hair and has a great flat iron. Her dad also colored my hair once and did a great job. Her sister and mom did really good on other people's hair from what I've seen. You can't go wrong no matter which stylist does your hair. They're always professional which is what I like without but they're real laid back. When you walk into the salon, you feel like you're at the beach. You'll love this place.Services: Hairstyling

Jan did my haircut and wax and I have to say, this was the best haircut I’ve ever gotten in my life. Worst establishment ever. Asked if they do childrens hair she guaranteed yes. Nope. My daughter suffered the entire time. They tore through her hair and i feel like she now has heat damage. Never again. I will make sure everyone knows about this place
