I placed an order for a mattress on 11/09 and got a confirmation stating that the order was confirmed and able to be picked up at the store. Well I couldn't get it that day due to not having a truck so I finally was able to secure one for Friday 11/17 and rec'd a message from a family member stating that they were out of stock well I never got an email stating they were out of stock or on backorder and not sure why mine would be on backorder bc I already purchased it. Not only did I purchase a whole bedroom set to go with off of amazon which arrived on Tues and I promised my old bedroom set to a person in need of it. So this is throwing a wrench into my plans for my first purchase with the business. I called yesterday 11/15 and the woman stated she was alone at the store and couldn't find my bed. I'm like it should be there due to the fact that when you purchase from Walmart online they tell you you have until a certain day to pick it up. They don't just give your items away, that's not the way business works so I'm really blown away by this. I was going to the Fredericksburg location Friday to pick my bed up and I was supposed to get a call first thing this morning and yet to receive one and I have tried to call and they must be super busy bc no answer. So fast forward I called the 877# on my lunch and spoke with a guy who stated that he might have to refund me due to it being out of stock not that they will ship it from another store being that this is not my fault. I placed an order and never was notified that I would not be able to get it. So had I not called and went to another city to pick it up that would have been over the top. The rep found it quite humorous, but was apologetic. I told him this was unacceptable he said online didn't catch up with the inventory. Again how is this my fault. So now I'm stuck sending my whole KING size bedroom set back and the person that was getting my bed set to now her mattress on her floor. Such a TERRIBLE experience!!!!

Bad experiencePoor salesperson, poor customer service, and products that don't work.Tony is rude to customers over the phone and hangs up. So unprofessional.I emailed the District Manager and never received a call back. Goes right along with the horrible experience we had. Tony refused to give me the District Managers phone number. First time customer, never ever again would shop there.

So I relocated a year ago, July 2022. Around January when visiting my daughter I came across this beautiful sectional. I was out browsing yesterday in search of a table or tv stand to put my tv on because I like to rearrange my furniture at least quarterly but I am limited because my tv is mounted on the wall. Well to my delight the sectional I have been looking at since January was now on sale!!My sales experience was so stress free yes I said stress free and accommodating.The manager is a very hard working woman. She helped me carefully select items to fit into my quaint apartment. The young man Kavon (forgive me if I misspelled the name) went above and beyond and helped me get my furniture from the store in Spotsylvania to my home. After he got off work!!!There were other customers in the store that was so nice and peaceful… and there was no sense of urgency in the atmosphere.I was able to take my time and make my selection and after I finally selected everything and paid for my items the sectional was missing a piece.Oh no! I was crushed. The young man came from the back and informed me of what was going on. Well I sat there on the floor model and waited for the manger to come out to see if there was any way I could still get this sectional that I had been looking at since January.End of the story I got my sectional a desk and chair an area rug and two end tables for a very handsome price.Enjoy the pics!!!! If you live in the Spotsy area and like what you see go into the Spotsylvania American Freight Furniture and allow your piece to find you and have a stress free rewarding and accommodating experience shopping for furniture.Did I tell you how I’ve been looking at this sectional since January? Ordered a sectional on 7/22/23 and was told that i would receive a call by the following Wednesday to let me know when delivery would be. A week went by and never received a call and when I tried to call in, I could to speak with anyone so I drove and hr from my home to see what was holding the delivery up and I was informed that they didn’t have a delivery driver and all their deliveries were backed up, which I understand you can only control so much, so I tried to be patient and allow them to deliver the following week as the manager (short black lady) said we should be able to deliver by that Thursday or Friday and still received no call about a delivery. So I went in on 8/4/23 to refund since this store has a terrible communication process with their customers and delivery process and the manager didn’t seem to care one bit. didnt even try to save the sale or anything. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM BECAUSE THE PROFESSIONALISM IS NOT THERE AND THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. I wish I would’ve read the reviews before purchasing.

Yesterday, I went to purchase a refrigerator at this location (Fredicksburg) because the location that was closer to my home (Woodbridge) did not have a driver for delivery. I drove over 40 mins to this location, found a refrigerator that I was ready to purchase, only to get to the register and the price is marked higher in the system than is marked on the refrigerator. They were not willing to honor the price that was listed on the item therefore I left without a purchase. I have never experienced this situation where the business was not willing to work with the customer. The 2 star is only being given because the sales rep who assisted me was very professional and apologetic for the issues. I ended up going back to Woodbridge to a competitor business and purchasing a the better quality refrigerator, brand new still in the wrapper, for the exact same price that was listed on the refrigerator at this location. The refrigerator was even priced $70 higher and the owner automatically knocked down the price without me even having to negotiate. So what started out frustrating ended up as a blessing. Businesses need to be more willing to work with their customers especially if the customers are doing their part.

My husband and I just moved to the Fredericksburg area. We decided to go to American Freight to purchase some new furniture (two couches, a bed and potentially some other items).The first day we stopped by (29JUNE2023) we were helped by a gentleman. He was very nice, answered all of our questions, except for specific discounts, and delivery questions to which he referred us to his manager, who was off that day. My husband and I decided to leave, and think about the items we were interested in.On 04JULY2023, we came back to American Freight to purchase the items we saw and liked on 29JUNE. The same gentleman was there. My husband and I went over to the items we liked and decided we were going to buy them that day.We spoke to the gentleman and told him the items we were going to purchase (two couches and a king size bed/mattress with adjustable bed frame). Come to find out, one of the couches we loved was not in stock. Ok, too bad but understood.We asked about the mattress and adjustable frame. The king mattress was available, however, the adjustable bedframe was not. We were then told they don't carry the adjustable size frame in king and they only had one queen adjustable frame available. Additionally, the gentleman said the floor model adjustable frame is the only one he has ever seen at the store. Very odd. We decided to not purchase the bed.We then asked about the second couch. The gentleman said they had one in stock. We agreed to purchase that couch with delivery (both my husband and I have severe spinal injuries so we cannot move heavy objects). After the gentleman explained they do not have any delivery people working for them anymore, he checked with his boss who again wasn't working that day. Via text, the manager told the gentleman she would deliver the couch.The gentleman started to ring us up and then sent a new employee to look for the couch in the back of the store. After approximately 15 minutes, the gentleman came back after talking to some electricians who worked on the store. The gentleman then played on his phone at the register while his coworker was struggling to find the couch. Another 5-10 minutes passed and the gentleman finally went to the back of the store to check on his coworker. A few minutes later and we were told the couch was not in stock. My husband was devastated.At that point I started to get frustrated. I asked if we could just purchase the floor model since my husband loved the couch. The gentleman said he would have to ask his boss. I said we can get a discount too since it's a floor model. The gentleman said he didn't think so. I explained it was a floor model and a "bunch of people's a**es" have been sitting on the couch, and we would take the couch today. He said his boss would not give a discount. I was really irritated and we decided to leave.We immediately walked next door to Ashley Furniture and purchased our needed items. Zero hassle, with delivery and warranties. Oh, and the items were in stock and were better overall. Never again will we shop at American Freight. It's really too bad.Oh, and who leaves one employee in a store without decision making abilities? Moreover, who has a display model with a price tag and zero items in stock? Talk about false advertising. That's how you lose customers.

They finance anyone. I purchased a sectional here and it is nice. Be sure to pay off the balance in 90 days. Nice selection. Service is a little dodgy, we walked around 15 minutes before being greeted on a weekday.

When you call this store ask for Jada. Her customer service is impeccable!!! I was in a crunch for time because I was moving to a new house. Jada was able to help me pick out furniture and get me on the delivery schedule ASAP. She continuously reached out to me throughout the process. Bought furniture from this store but since I was moving south, the order got xfer to another location. Somehow my order got split and went to 2 different locations. It was such a hassle to deal with because all of my items were not delivered but Jada came thru for me and coordinated things for me and made sure things for straight. It took some time but she got things worked out. I appreciate her going out of her way to fix a problem that she really didn't have to. Thanks again Jada!

I went in looking for a mattress to help with back pain. I worked with Jada, she provided me with indepth information regarding the higher end mattresses. I am so glad that she did! I opted for a Sealy Royal Ascot and boy do I feel Royal when I wake up now. I'm no longer in pain to start my day! Jada provided amazing service without the "salesy" feel, but with true customer satisfaction as the focus. Thank You!
