Worst experience I have ever had with a shop. I expected a reputable shop who did good work but I was dead wrong. When I called about getting my work van repaired I stressed there was a leak coming from the front end and it looked like power steering fluid. It took all day Saturday to diagnose where the leak was coming from. The guy Aaron I was speaking with the whole time suggested I have to replace the Pittman arm along with the power steering box because it was all technically one piece. That’s a lie because I had just that same Pittman arm changed less than a year ago. The “mechanic” or “tech” who worked on my van did a terrible job. This guy had to have gotten certified at jiffy lube. The front end handled worse when I got it back after the repairs were made. He spilled power steering fluid all over my engine bay but mainly on the wire harnesses which pooled up on the front and on top of the frame. I pointed out the fact that there was a puddle of power steering fluid underneath when I went to pick it up. Aaron told me that I should power wash underneath when I get a chance to clean it up, like that was my responsibility. After spending over $1,200 you would expect to get back a clean vehicle and not have to do it yourself. There is power steering fluid covering everything. I know who to talk to when my van starts to have electrical issues from the fluid eating through the plastic and rubber. If you value your time and money do not take your vehicle to this joke of a shop. Abolsutely terrible business. Incompetence runs rampant at this place.

I had a very unsatisfactory experience with AAA Fredericksburg Tuesday April 9th 2024. I called for service for a battery light on my dashboard.I had driven from NY. I specifically asked for someone to come with a battery in case that was the issue. I was called on a robo call that told me my driver would be at my location by about 5:45 pm. That call came in at 5:40pm. I immediately went to my car to wait.and wait, and wait. Finally at about 7pm I called the service again and was told the driver was hung up on his previous call and was on his way to my location. Again I waited. He arrived at 8:25 pm at our location. He performed a few tests and had a few answers but he told my son he was a “ body guy” not a battery guy. I have been a member for over 20 years and have never had such a terrible experience. I never received a call to say he was delayed and never updated on his progress. As a visitor to Virginia I am extremely disappointed in the service. It left a very bad impression on me of AAA Fredericksburg.

Excellent service! i recommend this place very highly. Shoutout to Trevor for working very hard and timely on a vehicle issue i had regarding repairs. very professional and explained everything in detail. Again i don't think i have ever met a mechanic that was this great and straight forward as well as willing to work with me to find the best way to go about the repair. 10/10.

Service takes too long as you are here all day!!!
They informed me my transmission was about to go out and it's been 3 years since they told me that and I drive daily from Stafford to Manassas. Still working on issues.
Need to work on the speed of service. I can walk in Honda with no appointment and be done and go.

The technician explained everything in detail. They quickly diagnosed the issue and offered recommendations for repairs. There were no surprise fees or attempts to upsell.

If you own a caravan that needs service, see Trevor at AAA.I own a 2014 caravan.It developed an oil leak.While in Pennsylvania, I took it to a dealership that rhymes with "bodge".3k later, it still leaked.Was told by dealership that the leak was something different than what they fixed.Gave up on them.Now that I am in Fredericksburg, I took it to another "bodge" dealer.They said $1800 to fix a laundry list of items to cure Leak.Took van to AAA and they fixed it for half that amount.Turns out, Leak had nothing to do with what Pennsylvania or Fredericksburg dealers worked on / proposed !Excellent work, AAA Fredericksburg!Larry

AAA was once my go-to for auto repair and oil changes as I've been using them for almost a decade now, but not anymore. Took my car in for a state inspection and they failed it because "the struts needed replacing" and it would be roughly $1300. Something didn't feel right as the car was pretty new with low mileage. I denied the repair and took it to two other mechanics, the first didn't do state inspections but said they didn't find anything wrong with the struts or the car. Took it to another who did state inspections and left with an a pass and a comment "yeah we get a lot of customers who say AAA failed them for this or that but then we inspect the car and don't find the discrepancy". I understand you have a business to run but to be dishonest... I just feel bad for the many who use them and don't even know what's going on behind the scenes. Never again will I take any vehicle to AAA in Fredericksburg nor recommend them. It's sad, because at one point they used to do good work. Another company lost to profit over ethics.

Now the gentleman that show up are great, once they show up. I have a bad habit of locking my keys in my car and it took 4-5 hours before they even showed up to unlock my car door for roadside assistance. Otherwise, decent.

Aaron was just wonderful to work with. The car ended up needing much more work than we realized, but he kept us informed every step of the way. He was even very patient while we made decisions and sometimes changed our minds. I would bring any vehicle back here in a heartbeat.
