I took my babylock embroidery machine in as it started messing up every pattern I tried. The first time I took it to them, they cleaned my machine and said it was fixed. Immediately had the same issues. Took it back a second time and they said they looked at it and nothing was wrong. Will be taking it a THIRD time elsewhere.

Wonderful customer service. My mom gave me her sewing machine but she didn't have the foot pedal or power cord. Greg went thru all his cords to find one that fit my machine. Plugged it in and ran it to make sure it worked. Showed me how to thread correctly on that type of machine because my original little one was a different pattern. Then told me about what needle works best with what material. Will definitely go back.

Absolutely the worst customer service. Greg nearly had me leaving in tears. I just needed some gears replaced. Fairly simple as far as sewing machine repair. I had already taken the machine apart and diagnosed the problem which he verified when I brought it in. When I suggested what part of the issue might be he said no. I didn’t agree but just said okay so we could move on and get it repaired. He kept poking and saying things like “you don’t think I know what I’m talking about”. I just said Sir, I don’t want to argue. I just wanted to get my machine repaired for goodness sake! There wasn’t anything to argue about. He continued to become more angry and raising his voice telling me this gear and that gear would have to be replaced and yelled it would be $180 and smartly said “easy job huh?!” At this point my husband said that’s enough, don’t even worry about putting it back together we don’t want to do business here. I understand that people have bad days and maybe that’s why was going on but it’s not okay to be terrible to customers. It’s difficult to find people who repair machines these days…a lost art. So I hope you have a better experience if you have to take yours here for repair.

I took my machine about a month to just get a tuned up. The machine only has a couple hours of sewing before I began having problems. The bobbin isn’t winding properly and the machine is jumping rather than running smoothly. It’s unfortunate that I didn’t start this project right after the service because now I don’t feel I can take it back, not only that I can’t wait another month for it to get fixed. The tune up cost me $126.04, yikes and a month wait time. Not a good experience for sure. I’m going to take my machines somewhere else even it’s down to Richmond.

A Stitch in Time is a charming, bright & cheery shop, quite welcoming. My review is the story of three generations of satisfied customers. My mother-in-law found this place and dropped off the sewing machine for my 10 yr old daughter. My younger three were w my M-I-L that time and when they heard where we were going they recalled "Oh, we love that place! the lady was so fun and nice .... They complimented our names". So right, away I know the business owners are as gracious w any children in tow, as they are w the adult customers they serve. That matters to me. Today I picked up my daughter's freshly repaired sewing machine, from this wonderful Mom & Pop shop. It was like stepping into a bygone, gentler time. And my children were correct, Deanna & Greg, the married couple that runs this sewing machine & small appliance repair and supplies shop, are a complete delight to interact with. We had some small chat, pleasing laughs, I learned a little more about their business, and both of them were eager to pay my older boy (along w me this time) the courtesy of inclusion in the conversation. I'm a satisfied customer who will surely be back when there is cause to revisit. YES kid friendly

Very bad customer service. I wanted to inquire about fees for sewing machine service and was promptly asked WHERE I purchased my machine. The woman actually guffawed when I told her, saying that it was a low quality dealer. I actually felt ashamed of my prized possession. She then tried to convince me that this was a very good service center and pointed out that the mechanic was her boyfriend. The shop also was dirty, outdated and disorganized. No idea if the sewing machine service is any good, but I certainly won't be going back there. I would rather drive 30 miles to the next authorized dealer than deal with that woman again. Hint to proprietor: your girlfriend is driving away business.

I stopped in to inquire about sewing machine servicing prices and some aurifil thread. I had my 3 year old daughter with me. I was nervous because my daughter is a busy bee and stores have so many things for a toddler to get into. The customer service was AMAZING! They were so kind to my daughter. The prices are very reasonable. I will be entrusting them with my machines shortly and will definitely be returning for thread in the future. It’s a relief to find a shop that understands that toddlers can be busy and not hold it against me too. Highly recommend this place!

Amazing service. Helped fixed a small sewing machine issue with no trouble at all. Didnt even charge us to look at it. Definitely would recommend for all your sewing repairs. Shop is only open Friday due to over flow of repairs. Be patient!

I absolutely love this place, and the people who work there. They are pleasant and knowledgeable with their craft. I was leading a Sewing Ministry at my church. We were making Little Dresses to send abroad for the needy. The owner graciously allowed me to post a flyer in the store window for anyone that had unused fabric to donate. l also bought a "really nice" sewing machine from Goodwill. Only thing was that it had no foot pedd. The owner created one. I love this business, and would refer it to anyone. Keep up the good work ! GOD bless and keep you.

Very personable and knowledgeable owner. I'm incredibly pleased with my two purchases from today. Better prices than Joanns on thread, sewing feet, and NEEDLES! I also left with a new serger when I had gone in looking for a used one. I told him my price range, he made an offer, I accepted. Super pleased with all my purchases.Happy sewing, friends! These prices are worth it! (They're open 12-5 for covid hours, btw. )

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING PLACE! brought my sewing machine in because my husband and I tried replacing the tension knob on my old Rikkar by ourselves and messed up the presser foot in the process. Well we put the tension knob on backwords and then we had unscrewed something up top related to the tension lever! He fixed it in two minutes!Truly wonderful place! He does have SO MANY sewing machines in line for fixing though, they are almost on every available space he has, even taking up space on the floor in the shop! Be patient if you are waiting on an order!

Excellent customer service and prices. The owner is awesome and has taken very good care of my machines. When I was ready for a new regular machine, he hooked me up with a sweet deal that beat Internet pricing. If you sew - you will not regret doing business here.
