The live wire mtn dew was expired in September of 23 and I’ve been there a few times since and it’s still there. They claim to have hot subs on the website menu and paper menu but I was told they cannot make a hot sub. Also tired of the nasty looks given from Kimberly upon my entry, everytime.

A great oasis in one of Virginia's actual hidden valleys. We've been here a couple of times related to our activities at Peter's Mill Run OHV Area. The store is complete with friendly personnel and delicious deli treats. If you need a trail pass, this should be your destination - and if you're just passing through stop anyway. We recommend it.

The perfect country store with sandwiches that would put New York City up for a run for their money. A must stop if you're headed for the valley!

We were lost & SO happy to find this awesome little store! I bought some Mango Salsa & now wish I would have bought 2. The two women in the store were SO helpful & we got a home grown cucumber as we left. The owner made sure my grandson got the "right" bottle of Gatorade. I am still savoring the chocolate covered raisins I bought. The only thing better than the good eats was the customer service.

I was bikepacking through the George Washington forest for several days and was tired and very wet from having ridden through some heavy storms. Thank goodness I found this place and the two kind ladies within. I was able to eat, drink and dry out. My phone and charger were soaked. The owner lent me her charger, so that I could power up and make it to the next campground. Thank you to both of you for being so welcoming and kind. Over the course of the next week, I eventually made it all the way back to Pittsburgh, PA. During my stop at the FVCS a man stopped in and was talking up the local ice cream social and how he liked soft ice cream and not the kind you have to eat with your teeth. He then turned to the young lady working in the store and asked her, "Why weren't you at the ice cream social last year?" She replied, "Because I'm not very social." Thanks again FVCS!

This little general store & gas station has just about everything that those camping, hiking, and off roading in the nearby Washington National Forest would need. However, their gas is far overpriced versus the nearby towns and two of the three people working in there are frankly rude and not very helpful or nice at all. Even if you spend hundreds of dollars per year there as some of us have (trying to support local businesses and the locally made products), they are really only nice to the locals that they know. They might want to consider where the money coming into Fort Valley that pays their bills is coming from.

This has become the hub of the fort valley community located smack dab in the middle!! A place for snacks, subs, fresh breads and cakes, hunting licenses, gas, lottery tickets and local artist wares. The team that runs this place is led by a woman of many talents along with piles of patience. Without this team and their resources this valley life here would be a lot tougher. Be sure to drop in when visiting the area. Locals and visitors are thankful for the hard work of Claire and her team.

This place is awesome! Came here to get an OHV pass to ride Peters Mill and was assisted by a very helpful and friendly lady. Tried out their Steak & Cheese sandwich and it was definitely worth the wait!

Glad this place exists or my husband and I wouldn't have had dinner Saturday night! Lol. We didn't realize how distant the nearest restaurant and/ or full grocery store was from our rental so we made due with what we found here. The ladies working were super friendly and helpful- but I second the review about just having the basics. I did find some local bacon which was super fresh and tasty- and a few canned goods.

If you are rolling thru this beautiful part of God's country and pass by this hidden gem you will not forgive yourself! The sandwiches and Subs are handmade to order and let me tell you they are not shy about the meat! I drive a truck and make it a point to schedule myself here every 2 weeks. The staff is super friendly and l always enjoy popping in.

Don't expect the selection of a Food Lion or Walmart. This is a country store that stocks the basics and is the only supply of fuel and propane in Fort Valley. But if you need something real quick and don't feel like a trip to Front Royal or Woodstock, the fantastic people at the Fort Valley Country Store have got you covered. Every time we've been in the store, we have found the staff to be super friendly and helpful, willing to pause what they're doing to help you, and answer any questions to you have. And do NOT turn your nose up at the sandwich counter. While it is rather unpretentious, these are some of the best handmade sandwiches I've ever had. I love this store and the people.

Wonderful little country store in fort valley, the staff is always helpful and friendly. They make fresh sandwiches, breads and cakes at the deli. They also have a great selection of grocery items whether your camping or you live here in the valley. They also sell passes for the forestry trails and can let you know if the trails are open.
