“When they say they have it all, they are not kidding! There was something for everyone here: candy galore, fudge, pie and cake slices, ice cream (one local type and the other Graeter's) and more. There are also games, puzzles, and activities too. It was very tricky to settle on what we wanted, but eventually we ended up with some cookies, candy, and ice cream. Everything was tasty, and it was quite nice to sit out front on a lovely day and enjoy the goodies. Staff was friendly.”

“Fun family activity! We were a group of two adults, two teens, and two kids and we were able to escape with the help of a couple hints! The youngest was a bit scared of the mysterious concept and the sudden movement of some clues, but the rest of us had a lot of fun and were challenged. We look forward to coming back and trying the new room when it’s done.”

“I’ve actually been here twice and here’s the review from when I went there the first time!Went with my bestie after I got my first paycheck! It’s a really cute, vintage, and dainty little eastern european restaurant hidden on the side of Connecticut avenue. Most waiters seems to be Russian. When we went it was pretty slow, but the restaurant started to fill up very fast as we were about to leave.What we ordered ?- Borscht 4.5/5 Very huge portion, you need to share or else you’ll be full just with this soup.- Lamb Shank 4/5 again, big. You can barely taste the lamb, the texture of the lamb was also perfect.- Napoleon 5.5/5 First, it’s a HUGE dessert. And it’s definitely the best napoleon cake I had so far. I will return to this restaurant no joke just for the cake.Vibe ✨ 10/10 LOVE the vintage interiorI give Mari Vanna 8/10”

“Cute neighborhood haunt. The upstairs was pretty cozy. Seating left something to be desired but the windows and the fireplace were certainly a nice touch.Coffee was great, staff was nice and attentive.Outside would probably be lovely in the spring and fall. They do have a heated section on the side for outdoor seating where you can bring your dogs.Parking on the streets can be hit or miss so I do feel like if you're looking for the perfect "DC" coffee spot to write or read this could be it.”

“We recently celebrated my daughter's birthday at Tea with Mrs. B, and what an absolutely wonderful day it was! My daughter felt so incredibly special with a visit from Fairy Fawn, dress up and simple etiquette lessons. Rebecca has this lovely way, like a princess, of capturing children's attention to teach throughout the party. I was able to sit and chat with some of my friends while she kept the girls entertained for hours. It was a beautiful afternoon and my daughter had the best birthday!”

“We’re so lucky to live around the corner from Nature Forward, it is an awesome place to explore. Our neighborhood doesn’t have sidewalks so it’s especially nice to be able to take our kids here and let them walk. The paved paths were done within the past year and are super smooth for the stroller. It’s always clean here and its great that there are two bathrooms available too.”

“The ballroom is nice and spacious. Easily fits 100 guests without the place feeling congested/cramped and with more than enough space for a dance floor. Beautiful venue.Ballroom also has clean restroom facilities and a water fountain on the far side of the building. In that same hall is the kitchen for the caterer to set up and on the other side of the hall is a place where the bridal party can get set up. You turn a corner and there’s a separate room where our wedding event set up our bartender and catering table.The wedding itself which I attended was held in the pavilion - which I should mention is a little distance away from this ballroom so if you had a wedding/reception in these two different places, you’d need your car (both situated in the same area but the way leading to each has a hill and a block and a half distance away). Save your feet a little trek and do that minute drive.There is ample parking as well. Need not worry in that regard”

“GREAT place to see a show but BEWARE of the prices at the bar. We have been there twice now and were told that ordering a "large vs. regular" drink came with a great discount. The "discount" was literally about a dollar and the person who was paying for our drinks last week was terribly embarrassed when the total was given because it was far more than she had anticipated. They don't post all of the drink prices, so you are literally at the mercy of the bartenders to tell you honestly what they are charging. This is a shame because otherwise the place is awesome.”

“I have been to Royal Sands a few times before for dinner and drinks and always had a great time, great food, and great drinks, but I want to specifically highlight their event capabilities. My husband and I are leaving DC after almost a decade and wanted to throw a party with our friends. Fritz responded to my inquiry so quickly and easily set us up with a space for fifty people at a bar. There was no reservation fee, no minimum, and our friends could all open individual tabs, which made the event so stress free! Our communication with Fritz throughout the planning process was flawless, not that there was much to do on our end since they did just about everything for us!The actual day of went wonderfully. A hostess took us right up, introduced us to our bartender Ryan, and then a manager welcomed us as well. As our friends filtered in, Ryan kept up with drink orders without a problem, and food orders seemed to be brought to the right people very quickly. At the end of our booked time there was absolutely no rush to go, and we did stay a few more hours.The Mission Group restaurants have always been impressive with crowds, but this experience just solidified how great they are at hosting events! We had such a great time and it was the perfect way to say goodbye to DC!”

“Just had an event here on Sunday and when I say this place will be My Place! The professionalism was on a million. Seriously. The gentleman who handled everything literally made himself so present. There wasn’t anything he didn’t do. Set up, break down, made sure my attendees were good. You can tell he loved his job and that’s important when it comes to an event space. The attitude of the staff can really help ease the day of jitters, that we all get as event planners.I have been telling people about MPK since I left. “Post 41 certainly lives up to it's claim to be "The Friendliest Post in Maryland." It is run and frequented by friendly, down-to-earth people who enjoy seeing each other over good, affordable food and drinks. The Post hosts live music on weekends and does a lot of good in the community, sponsoring Cub Scouts, baseball teams, etc. It's not the busiest or flashiest place in downtown Silver Spring, but definitely a hidden gem.”
