I love the base thrift shops but this one is a definite "skip-it". The one on JBAB is SO MUCH BETTER. I haven't been to the one on Belvoir but it can't be worse than this one either. I went in, there was maybe one other customer and no one acknowledged me in any way. There were a few nice things but the lack of customer service allowed me to keep my coins and go elsewhere! I doesn't cost anything to say welcome in or hello; the place could really use a total revamping cause it seemed old, run down and unsupported.

Big sale right now. Open on some saturdays too. The staff are very friendly and stop to help you find what you are looking for. The building is very large but all items are VERY WELL organized on racks and shelves.

I been it here a few times over the past 2 months this place have change drastically they went from having nice stuff to having stuff that they should put in the trash. I am sorry for saying it that way but if you paying for something it should be something good even if you find it in the thrift store!! This is stuff they get for free so why overcharge for it.

Love Ft.Myer Thrift Shop! Do my holiday shopping there. Found some "Great finds" today. Very happy. Good to know retail prices so bargains can be identified. Grandson will be thrilled.

It's a wonderful antique shop on an active military base. You'll need a pass to get in but it's very easy -- just bring your drivers license and it takes no more than a minute. The shop itself consists of two buildings. A small one for antiques around the world and a larger warehouse for all kinds of used stuff. Great collections and staff is super friendly. Proceeds go to charity, especially scholarships. Great shop for a good cause! Prices are also very reasonable.

I had the pleasure of being associated with the Ft Myer Thrift Shop as an employee, volunteer & customer for 17 years. 2 years ago I relocated to New Orleans & because of the commute I had to stop volunteering & shopping there. While associated with the shop I found the merchandise to be of high quality & well priced. Just yesterday I was asked about a sweater I was wearing. I said I got it at the Ft Myer Thrift Shop.

Whoa what a mess!!! Either they take in everything or charge too much because everything is buried and dusty. Probably need to think about hiring a team to help clean and move some merch. Managers nightmare. Yikes.
