“Stopped by for some coffee and ice and left with so much more. This location is clean orginized and fully stocked. They're revamping their coffee and grab an go area so coffee wasn't an option. Samantha the shift manager was awesome and full of spirit. She was very helpful with some travel hacks and suggested great snacks for our trip. Our favorite shoppette location so far.”

“When I was in college, graduate school and the first 2 years of medical school and needed to work whenever I could, Jim Whelan always had a job for me.
Since returning to the area as a Ob-Gyn doc. I have used Jim Whelan's Service Center for all my vehicle's maintenance because I know first hand that they are competent, fair and honest. Today's vehicles are rolling computers and the technicians at Jim Whelan's Service Center keep up to date and have the equipment, experience and intelligence to make the correct diagnosis the first time and are very reasonable with their pricing. I highly recommend them to you without reservation.”

“Went today for the first time and I can't wait to come back! The sopes and tacos were all DELICIOUS! I tried the lengua, carne asada and I even tried the tripas for the first time and I can see why my friend recommended it! The chips and salsa are great and so are both the salsas they serve with the food (avocado salsa and a hot sauce that I couldn't get enough of) Mary took care of me at the bar and made me feel very welcome and just made the overall experience great for me. I'll be back soon and I'm telling all my friends about this place”

“The staff in here is always super friendly. They had a car crash into the front of the building not too long ago, and it wasn't too bad. They cleaned up and made it safe for all the customers, and it got fixed super quick. They always have the "off the wall" items you wouldn't find at normal chain convenient stores, which is nice. They serve food here too, and the prices are pretty fair, the food is pretty good. Glad to have this local to me.”

“This was an incredible shopping experience. The store owner was so pleasant and delightful and the clerk was quite the gentleman. He was very helpful and knowledgeable on their beer and chip selections. I would visit this little slice of heaven anytime I'm passing through the metropolis of Hopewell.”

“I love this place. Not a fan of the hippie lady nodding off and I'm glad she wasn't the only person there. Luckily the lady with the apron and clean appearance fixed my dinner.”

“Absolutely convenient location right off the highway. Chester Raceway has good gas prices and crispy chicken. Across the street is a Hardee’s fast food restaurant and just five minutes away, a shopping center with Kroger groceries, Ross, Ulta, TJ Maxx, etc. Noteworthy also is the fact that a few hotels are located in the vicinity.”

“A good stop for gas, food, or a restroom breakWawa is a convenience store chain primarily in the Mid-Atlantic region. It was originally named Wawa Food Markets and started as a dairy farm in Wawa, Pennsylvania, in 1803. The company evolved over the years and opened its first convenience store in 1964 in Folsom, Pennsylvania. It has grown in popularity and location and as of January 2022, there were over 900 Wawa stores across the United States, primarily concentrated in the Mid-Atlantic states. This is one of the many sites of this store in Petersburg, Va. Depending on which exit you take off the interstate this is either very close to i-95 or several miles. The Wagner Road exit is much closer. Like most stores of this chain, it has parking right in front of the stores and lining the lot near the street. There is a set of gas pumps and the store has restrooms, hoagies, coffee, and quick bites. The store has a convenient self-service touchscreen ordering system for hoagies allows for customization to your heart's content. The coffee selection is good, catering to different tastes. Outside and inside the store was clean, including the restrooms. The layout is well-organized, making it easy to find what you need quickly. The staff is generally friendly and efficient, contributing to a positive customer experience. Overall, I had a very good experience and, with the exception of taking the wrong exit to arrive here, would recommend this stop for fellow travelers.”

“Was listening to employee Michael Noel talk about his recent bout with covid-19. I noticed while he told his tale, he was cooking food to put in a display case and for a customer. HE WAS NOT WEARING A MASK! Between ringing up customers and going back to cooking food HE NEVER WASHED HIS HANDS!This is the same kid who hides in cooler trying to scare people as they open door to grab a drink. He yells Hooty Hoo and amuses himself while poor girl at register is forced to work alone while there's a line of people waiting to check out and get back to their jobsThis store is really going down hill. I've shopped here for twenty years, and like the rest of my church congregation, I think I'll have to switch to WaWa.”

“Since this place has gone up I have never once been disappointed throughout the years with the food I have ordered.

This location is almost always busy. It seems to be a hangout spot for various groups. Don't take this as a negative. Typically there is no fuss to worry about.

Gasoline is decent priced, and the free air pump typically always works is in operation”

“Omg, I stop by this place every Friday on my way back home to North Carolina, and honestly most of the time I don't really need gas. I actually just stop in and think of something to buy because I love your cashier Jessie. She is so awesome and super nice. Give that girl a raise, she deserves it and she's definitely an asset to your company.”

“I had the pleasure of meeting with Richard J. (I think he was one of the managers) He could NOT have been any nicer! I stopped in for some food he made my visit so much fun. I could not make my mind up and he was consistely joking saying nothing on the menu is bad and he would fix anything I wanted to make me happy! He definately knew the store and his customers seemed to love him. This is not my usual Wawa but he made me feel like family. Jovial, friendly and knowledgeable. Thanks Richard!”

“I always liked stopping here for chicken and a Mt dew. However, this morning my husband and I stopped. He went in to get us chicken. I gave him $30, and he commented it won't cost anywhere near that. I told him to bring me change. He got us each a diet Mt dew, a thigh, and a piece of fish. He came out w $5 and some change. It is crazy that it cost that much. We won't get fish again if they think that much of it. Oh, well.”

“Nice new convenience store slash gas station. Also has diesel fuel and a minimal amount of semi-truck parking for overnight. All of the same things you'd find at any place similar. But, they do have a few distinguishing features like a fresh doughnuts and pastries case. Relatively new location, very clean and well stocked.”

“Very friendly owners! Store usually has what you'd need from a little general store. They are a little pricey but most little general stores are and I guess that they're prices are about the same as any other store of this type. Great little "Country general store" atmosphere! ?”

“I only go there after I get off from work, to change my clothes, take off my glasses, put my contacts in, and sometimes to put a wig on. I do all of that in their restroom. I don't go there to buy anything.”

“The lot itself is like any other gas station, may be smelly in certain areas where the dogs relieve themselves, but upon entering, you can smell and see the cleanliness. The bathrooms were clean and there's a nice variety of Mexican bakery pastries and delicious drink varieties. The staff greets your with a smile.”

“I recently had the pleasure of visiting Loves Travel Stop 717 and I couldn't be more impressed with the service I received. Lauren, the shop manager, was incredibly professional and ensured everything went smoothly from start to finish. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure that my needs were met promptly.

A special shoutout to Zey, the mechanic technician, who fixed the mud flap on my semi-truck. Zey's expertise and attention to detail were evident in the quality of the repair. The mud flap was fixed perfectly, and my truck is back on the road in no time. Their teamwork and dedication to customer satisfaction are truly commendable.

I highly recommend visiting Loves Travel Stop 717 shop for any truck repairs or maintenance needs. The combination of Lauren's excellent management and Zey's technical skills makes this place stand out. Five stars!”

“I love Chubbys. Every man should. But let's talk about gas stations instead. In these parts, this is known as the gas station of gas stations. Well it's not really but it should be. I mean who doesn't want to go fill up at a place named Chubby's? I certainly did on my last trip across the Virginia. I didn't realize there are a bunch of these things (there are a bunch of Chubbys in America... who knew... ahem). What an awesome name. Medium price gas which is usually pretty cheap in this area.”

“So far, good compared to the Walgreens that is within 200 yards of this Rite Aid.Leadership likely still needs help enforcing medical privacy concerns on Pharmacy Techs. Gossip is the norm in current pharmacies.”
