Very, very disappointing. Stay away if you can. Balfour Beatty uses the cheapest materials to build these homes, don’t take care of them at all, and care only for your money. We had a poor experience with Fort Eustis Family Homes and paid much more than this home was worth in rent every month. We chose to move off post as a result. Also be aware that they will charge you two months rent upon leaving, we were accustomed to the one month, 30 day notice that is customary with military housing, but they have it in the contract that it is two. Another huge expense for our family that we were not anticipating. An extra month of rent is very hard to pay out of pocket, especially if like us you have a child with special needs. If you choose Fort Eustis Family Homes, make sure that you read your contract carefully.

They let people smoke weed and cigarettes inside the homes so if you are looking for a house that wreaks of cigarettes and weed you’ve found it. Worst military housing I’ve ever lived in. Ventilation systems are connected so enjoy that second hand smoke.

My wife and I put in a maintenance request last night and they had someone to the house within the hour. Rafael was very courteous and professional! Very glad they have such great Technicians on call for emergencies!

Absolutely terrible. Customer service is trash. Responding to emails isn’t going to happen. Taking accountability never happens. They allow their venders they hire to destroy your property and just ignore your request for it to be resolved. They also have allowed mold to just stay in my home visible to the eye.

Do not consider moving into these homes. They are basically slum lords. What you pay is not what you get. Full BAH for homes that are falling apart. If you need maintenance to fix one of the many issues, they will put a band aid on a bullet wound.

Honestly the worst military housing you could expect. Families who were living off post and lose their housing are told to get bent you have to be put on the bottom of wait list.

Second day in our townhouse. So far I’m disappointed in the quality of the flooring in here, it’s all bubbled up and feels cheap, it’s also very very ugly. Upstairs along the edges of the carpet tons of dog hair from the previous tenants dog. Paint drippings all over the fake wood flooring, huge huge scratches along the entire living room floor. The siding on the backside of the house is damaged and painted all different colors. The little patch in the backyard is full of HUGE weeds, the fence is bent up. The patio is so so dirty and cracking. The whole townhouse was so dirty when we moved in, my feet turned brown walking on it barefoot. I really expected a lot more being as it is our BAH each month, what a joke. There is a lot more to add. I will update the post as we go along. I’m Hopeful nothing will go wrong while we stay here. At best I feel that this townhouse is worth 1,300-1,400$ a month. They should consider offering some families with better quality homes.

These are the units that are rented to our military. These units are delivered in very good condition. Repaired and painted so that our soldiers are comfortable. I work for GTB, I am a painter and we are responsible for leaving these units in very good condition for them. Its surroundings have a gas station, shops, parks and much more... To all the military, thank you for your service.

They don't let you use attic as storage. No basement and very little storage space. The Army gives Soldier's alot of equipment. Not to mention if you need 4 rooms you also will require substantial storage. If you live on post they take all the BAH. Not worth having no storage. Least they could do is let people use the damn attic.

We are moving here in July, this review is solely for the front office team and the leasing experience we have had so far. They have been amazingly fast, responsive and helpful at all hours of the day and night when we had questions. They’re quick to schedule tours even with covid, and Olivia has been especially helpful to our family by making sure we’re taken care of and notified of any changes or upcoming events in the community or about our new home.

Never experienced anything like this until moving here. Although it’s on post housing the neighborhood is rough. It does not feel safe as on post housing should. Vandalism, break-ins etc and no one seems to take it serious nor do they want residents to have cameras. Even after complaints the area isn’t patrolled regularly. I loved living close to my job and kids daycare but moved because I’d rather take the drive than have my kids and I not feeling safe and at peace in our own home.
