This is a practice that takes pride in caring for every patient and their needs. The doctors and staff show immense empathy and compassion to all patients. My family and I appreciate the wonderful care that we always receive from Dr. Pieleck and everyone at the office. I highly recommend them as a family practice or if you have any sports medicine needs.

I had a foot procedure with Dr. Pieleck, and he's legit. He made sure I wasn't feeling the pain of the procedure and explained everything - keeping me comfortable and calm. I highly recommend him - great doctor vibes!

Last fall, I sought treatment for a shoulder injury sustained in a dirt bike accident, and the care I received was exceptional. The entire team at AHMG contributed to a positive experience. The support and professionalism were evident from the initial consultation to follow-up appointments. I highly recommend AHMG!

We’ve had some pretty terrible experiences here in Lynchburg with healthcare professionals but this is by far the worst. We called to make an appointment for some healthcare needs that came up unexpectedly, and we were given an appointment for 11:30am the next day. This was great considering we weren’t sure if they’d even be able to accommodate us, as they’re extremely difficult to get an appointment with.During the call, we specifically asked how long the visit would take and we were told that it would only take about 15 mins which was great as the issues were minor, and just required them to write him a prescription. We arrived at 11:25 and checked in, yet somehow there were several persons who came in after us but were seen before us. (“I later asked for clarification and was told it’s because they “were seeing different doctors”) We were finally called back for the intake at 11:50, and that went fine but we were then asked to go back into the waiting room because “they didn’t have enough rooms.” We waited an additional 30mins before we were called back again and this is when I asked some more questions, the main one being if there were no more rooms, why were we the only ones in the waiting room whilst there were people who came in after us who were seen and not asked to wait in the waiting room for a room. It’s no coincidence that all the patients who “they had rooms for” looked nothing like us, and so I’m 100% sure that our race played a role in their treatment of us. (We didn’t end up leaving until 12:40) Both receptionists we encountered weren’t necessarily rude but the second which was a slender Caucasian woman was extremely dismissive when asking about the wait and the first which was a dark skin woman who stated we had an outstanding bill and expected us to pay it without clarification of what the bill was for. They clearly do not care about your time, your needs, or the fact that it’s 2024 - discriminatory practices should warrant them having to be shut down - NOBODY deserves this treatment and we were told by several different people in several different ways, “we’ll get to you when we can.”This is truly unacceptable and I don’t recommend anyone who is a person of color come to this practice. Also we specifically gave our jobs an expectation of the time we would be gone, and they added almost an hour to that. Not to mention, when the doctor finally came in, she asked 3 questions, checked his breathing and did what wrote the prescription - this took less than 10 minutes so being told by the caucasian receptionist that “they don’t give times for appointments and patients should not have any expectations regarding that” proved to also be false. In conclusion, we were lied to, discriminated against, and have never felt so horrible in any doctor’s office. Now that we’ve received what we needed, we will not be coming back.We highly recommend Dr Sierra Sanford with Kaya Health located less than 3 minutes from this practice on Forest Rd. It’s an untraditional practice and that’s what makes it so great, we only didn’t go to Kaya because my husband has yet to come off the wait list. They are passionate about medicine, ensure you’re always comfortable, and should be the rule, not the exception. To put it into perspective, we'd rather go to Lynchburg General the next time we need immediate help if Dr Sanford’s waitlist hasn’t cleared up, because at least at the hospital, they treat everyone equally terrible.

My family and I were patients here for a year. It was a good practice for the time we were there, but they dropped my whole family at the first sign of any real trouble. I admit that they asked questions that no other practice asked and have found what is potentially serious condition with my son. Unfortunately, in the same phone call that they told me my son has brain lesions, they dropped my family. Right at the time when we needed our doctor the most they got rid of us. They attempted to accuse me of dishonesty instead of owning their mistake. Documentation is everything with this practice. Make sure that you fill out the intake paperwork fully and KEEP A COPY FOR YOURSELF. I say shame on this practice for giving up on us when we needed a doctor the most.

Great services, and staff is awesome. However, the past 2 or 3 times I've been in ive waiting 45 mins to an hr .before being seen. They will take you back quickly but then you wait forever for the provider to come in. Otherwise it's a great place.

Told them I had Medicare, not Medicaid. Receptionist says "we don't take that combination"I said I don't have that combination i just have Medicare not Medicaid. She says again that they don't take Medicaid....which I am not enrolled in. She says "but because you will enroll in January, we can't see you"I tell her I don't have to enroll, therefore I only have Medicare. Again she tells me they won't take me bc "they don't take that combination". Again I clarify that they DO take MEDICARE and she says yes but not MEDICAID which...again, I don't have.So I'm being denied bc of an insurance I don't have and won't have. She was absolutely uninterested in hearing anything else or explaining why they couldn't see me bc of insurance I would be eligible for but not enrolled in, in the future.

I had a couple of appointments with Taylor the NP and she was very attentive to my concerns. She tried many things to help me and I appreciated the time she took to listen. Overall a very good experience and would recommend this practice to anyone.

Had bad shoulder pain. Called for appointment expecting to wait a couple of days. Saw Dr Pielick that same afternoon. Had x-rays and a cortisone injection in the shoulder for bursitis. Hardly felt the shot at all. Dr Pielick did an excellent job with it. I would recommend him highly. Also the entire staff is friendly and caring. Had fun with Midge during the x-rays. Access Health is an excellent facility.

I would not recommend another doctor's office in Lynchburg near as much as I would recommend Access. Everytime I have gone everyone from the receptionists to the lab techs to the doctors have all been amazing.I had chronic back pain for 2 years and had tried numerous chiropractors and had other doctors try to put me on antiinflammatories and other medicines and none of them did anything to try to find the root cause of my back pain and sciatica. I had one appointment with Dr. Pieleck and he gave me an osteopathic adjustment and taught me multiple stretches and exercises to do to strengthen the proper muscles and gain range of motion. This not only got rid of my back pain over the next 6 months but completely cured my sciatica and I have been pain free since. He took a no nonsense approach to my pain and instead of just giving me medicine to shut me up like other doctors do but he instead invested his time and set me on a path to recovery that I was able to follow and I am now pain free. I used to have back spasms often and I have not had one since my appointment with him and the exercise plan he put me on. I have recommended numerous of my friends to them and they have done nothing but sing Dr. Pieleck's praises.I have seen FNP Selena Blankenship multiple times and she is always sweet and kind and I have a good laugh whenever she sees me. She is wonderfully kind and I am never upset about having to see her when a doctor is busy.

Dr. Pueleck is one of the best doctors I have ever had. Cordial and personable, you feel like you know him personally. Very thorough with you and on top of his profession. Brandy and Jennifer go out of their way to understand and address your needs and concerns. Wonderful facility all the way around.Michael Sullivan

Avoid this place at all costs. I have given them three changes and every single time I had a horrible experience. I went to the office because I gained 100 lbs in less than a year with no lifestyle changes and the NP Selena did not even do an exam on me for my first visit. I told her the problem and she lectured me about eating more salads and saying no to donuts. I asked to switch to the doctor and went in to get my labs drawn that I ordered because she was not helpful. When I went in some random nurse yelled at me for ordering my own labs through life extension and said they won’t draw my blood even though the front desk and lab tech approved it. After talking to the office manager she said that they just needed a diagnosis code which they already had. Following getting my results back I had a few things flagged and went to the doctor to talk about them. He refused to even read them and just said I wasn’t trying hard enough to loose weight. He said he would refer me to an endocrinologist but they refused to see me based off of what he wrote in his referral (he said I simply had a family history of thyroid problems and didn’t mention weight gain or any symptoms). I have never in my life met a doctor and nurse who care less about their patients then Dr. P does. I walked out of there feeling heartbroken every time because they would not listen to me and did not care about my well being. I can’t get an appointment with an endocrinologist now either because he lied on my referral. I have half a mind to report them to the board. None of them should be able to practice medicine.

My husband went to his scheduled appointment and left highly disappointed as the NP walked in stating "we only have 15 minutes for this" and rambled that they wanted them to keep the appointments short. This started the appointment in such a negative demeanor & was disheartening to hear.

Went to this office for a while in my time being their patient had staff changes constantly they gave me new NP 4 times and when I tested positive for covid even though I'm diabetic they wouldn't help me unless I made an appointment and came in so they could test me ...when u feel horrible not a way you wanna be treated by a doctors office that knows you , why have a family doctor if they gotta see u when they know your medical history they only care about making money not helping you
