Very knowledgeable owner and staff. Very pleasant owner and staff. As I visit here often as a regular and have yet to be disappointed. It Is a great place for gifts of oddities, fossils, minerals, Buffalo and mosasaurus teeth & soaps, UV items etc.... too many great items to mention. They definitely have something for everyone..PS the sticky residue from stickers comes off easily with a little rubbing alcohol. Sharing pics of my lovely purchases from today ❣️

I thought I loved this place. Absolutely beautiful specimens, friendly staff that knew her stuff, awesome vibe. The prices were great too!But when I got home with my treasures, I realized that they had put a sticker on every single crystal. I broke my brand new shungite pyramid, trying to free it from sticker goo. It took me hours to get the goo off of my remaining pieces.Disappointed that my purchase is broken and frustrated that my remaining pieces are sticky. Never again ?

This shop isn't for me lol as the incense can make your eyes burn but I enjoy browsing through after hitting the farmers market. They often go out of their way to decorate it for various holidays, and have been super nice when I've been in. They have an adorable golden retriever who hangs out behind the counter sometimes coming up for pets and sometimes just having a nap

We came from far away to visit Floyd and actually visit the local shops this was one of them we looked into. My husband does professional photography and we took a few shots right next to the store super cute little area. There were no signs stating you couldn't stand next to the store etc. Only there for a few minutes, and actually about to explore this store. Extremely rude women who worked there came out not inviting, but extremely rude. This was a good occasion for us, so the way she acted was very shocking. I asked about local fields for the public and she literally responded "I wouldn't tell you if we did go ask them."... I was asking about the parkway or a overlook but ok.. lol. We were all pretty confused and shocked at how rude she was to complete strangers. I am a massage therapist and would of gone and bought stones etc., but after the women we encountered who worked there we decided we don't support a business with that kind of customer service or bad energy.

I was with a large group of people at this store and most of us chose not to buy anything because the lady kept randomly yelling at multiple people ??.What a shame you were in a bad mood when the store itself was just beautiful. You were shockingly rude to shoppers. You can certainly learn to be kinder and be a better human. Since you don’t like people picking up items to look at them as they shop just close the store and sell your products online. You don’t have the ability to deal with people.

See previous. Wish I would’ve known before I bought something how rude these people are.

While I do feel the owner is knowledgeable and she has a great selection of items, do not, under any circumstances bring your kids into the store. ESPECIALLY if your kids are on the spectrum or are drawn to textures. My youngest seemingly destroyed gel candles without my knowledge while we were at the check out. The shop owner called my mom to inform her later and used words like malicious when describing my daughter who is 10.. We offered to pay for the candles along with the shipping to have them shipped to us(it is not an easy drive and we were visiting from out of town.) The owner decided instead of us paying for the damage and accepting the damaged items to deny the restitution and just throw away the items and ban us from the store. This does not impact me or my kids as we are from out of town, but my mom who lives close and often shops there for gifts. I was also told that the shop owner felt my daughter would not learn from the incident as she did not apologize to the shop owner or the person who made the candles. How I punish my child for bad behavior should not be the concern of a shop owner.Keep in mind that we were not in there spending a couple of dollars, we both made significant purchases in the shop. Just putting that out there so it was not assumed we were loitering.End all be all, do NOT bring kids into this shop or anyone who is on the spectrum or has sensory curiosity . I do not write a lot of reviews, but the way this was approached was unprofessional and just a prime example for my children of the kind of human they should not be, especially when you have someone who is willing to make it right.*added in response*This is the first time anything like this has happened with either of my children. It was an unfortunate mistake. I make no excuse for it and we wanted to make it right. The option to not accept payment for damage and take a loss was a choice of the owner. My daughter did not deserve to be labeled so harshly by a stranger for making a mistake due to her curiosity.Honestly, if the incident did not involve verbally insulting my child, parent shaming, and upsetting my mother and banning her for my childs actions this entire experience would have been a 5 and there would have been reoccurring online orders. Even with the mishap.Words can heal or they can bruise. They should be chosen carefully, especially where children are involved.
