I have never been in this location,,even tho it's the original. So on my way home from an overnight trip to TN, I decided to take the scenic route home and go in. Great items, but the store is much smaller than the one that they had in the mall in Roanoke years ago. The local native Indian tribe selection was very limited. This was my go to place for my beautiful silver jewelry and I was hoping to add something new.I DID find a pinky ring, but I left disappointed. Again this is a GREAT place! I just had expected something else. I saw plenty that I would have purchased for gifts, just wasn't gift shopping this day. ????♥️♥️

This shop is my go-to for wonderful gifts (local artisans' pottery, jewelry, textiles, etc). There is a fabulous selection of women's clothing including leggings, tunics, dresses, and not just more of the same. Different than the other, and really nice quality. Hats! Cool socks! Soaps and oils! And wind chimes -- the big, deep soulful ones. The Mercantile has it all. Unique stuff. The staff is always really helpful. You can spend a good deal of time looking through the great stock.
