I recently had a highly disappointing experience with "Bubby" at Richard Settle's dealership. I feel compelled to share my story to help others avoid the same situation.I purchased a truck from them, and right from the start, things seemed off. "Bubby" assured me that the vehicle had been thoroughly inspected and even provided me with an inspection certification claiming it had passed with flying colors. However, this turned out to be a complete misrepresentation.A few months later, I took the truck to my trusted mechanic for a safety check before a long-distance trip. To my shock, my mechanic revealed that the truck's frame was severely rusted and dangerously compromised. It was clear that this issue had been present for a while, yet the inspection had somehow approved it. This blatant oversight put my safety at risk. Moreover, the advertised features on the truck were a far cry from reality. The sticker claimed power windows and locks, but the truck had neither. It was a misleading and disappointing discovery. To add to the frustration, a State Trooper intervened, citing the inspector's negligence and suspending their license for 45 days, along with a fine. I paid a significant amount - $14,453 - for a truck that should never have passed inspection. When I confronted "Bubby" about this, he showed a complete lack of accountability. He even had the audacity to reprimand me for reporting the incident to the State Police, shifting the blame onto me.As if this weren't enough, when I considered selling the truck back due to these ongoing issues, "Bubby" offered an insultingly low buyback price of $10,000.In summary, my experience with "Bubby" and Richard Settle's dealership has been nothing short of a nightmare. Deceptive practices, subpar inspections, false advertising, and a complete disregard for customer safety are the hallmarks of this establishment. I strongly advise anyone considering doing business with them to steer clear. Behind the smiles lies a complete lack of integrity and substance. Your hard-earned money and safety deserve better than what this dealership offers.Remember, buyer beware!

I bought a used f250 in November, 2020. And the ABS light was on during the test drive. Was assured by the owner. (Buddy) he would order the part if I bought the truck. 7 months later, over 10 calls. He won't honor his word. I would not recommend this used car lot.

I had to have my vehicle towed to Settle's Garage for repairs on a Monday evening. The initial experience began with being flat out lied to on numerous occasions by several different employees. It was like pulling teeth just to get the initial estimate for the repairs, I had to call numerous times since no one was returning my phone calls. All I wanted was to get an estimate, before authorizing the repairs. Then I was lied to on several occasions saying that the vehicle was in the service bay being worked on, when in fact it never moved from where the tow truck dropped it Monday evening until Thursday late afternoon. When I visited the garage Thursday afternoon to speak to the owner Bubby about my disappointment, he would not even listen to me, just kept stating that I was wrong about everything and told me just to remove the vehicle from his lot. I will not ever recommend to anyone to use their services unless they want to be talked down to and lied to. What a disgraceful way to run a business.

Good folks to deal with. I drove 4 hours to get there. They came in after hours for me. I think they have a good idea of what reasonable people want, a good trade price and a good price on the new vehicle. I can't speak for everyone's experience but I got NADA trade for my vehicle and below NADA retail for the vehicle I bought. I can't complain a bit. I'm 40 years old and have bought my fair share of vehicles. This experience has been one of the better ones. No hidden fees, processing fees and didn't have to haggle. Few signatures and out the door. I'll be driving my skinny tail back up there. It was worth the drive.

I went to Settle's in Flint Hill, VA today to purchase a Jeep. 11 days ago, my previous Jeep was totaled in a no fault car accident. I have been struggling with driving since I was hurt in the accident, and was getting sick and tired of being jerked around by dealers who were charging ridiculous fees on top of the purchase price of the vehicles we were looking at, and all of the vehicles were overpriced anyway! Wasting another entire day at a dealer and getting to and from

I'm only writing about the grocery part, which is small but great! They have: newspapers, lots of pantry items, all kinds of dairy, and locally made/specialty type foods such as Trickling Springs milk and breakfast sausage.

I give a 3 star because the store is great. No problems at all. The garage however, was terrible the last week. There is no schedule for when Bubby is there to do inspections. So going there on my day off was a waste of time (he rejected it on 1/30 for what he told me was bad back brakes) we bought new ones and changed them. Brought it back today and he says its not fixed. Not fixed. With new brakes. So he proceeded to tell me several other issues. A leak in the brake line, too low of brake fluid, and that my brakes were too soft. Low and behold i took it to Marlows and they passed the truck. They even took the liberty of bleeding my brakes (which I admit were too soft) but they did it at no cost. Something Bubby isn't about doing obviously. The grocery, keep it up you girls are great. Seriously great.
