BED BUGS!!!!!! Stayed there Saturday.. had to move out of one room because of evidence of bedbugs , then moved to another only to not be able to sleep because of bed bug bits along with feeling them crawling. Went to the office at 2 am to complain and was told I would get a refund only later to find out from Priceline that I wouldn’t be receiving a refund . I’m very disappointed in the establishment as well as Priceline .
Noteworthy details: BED BUGS

Mattress on the king size bed was so worn out it had a large dip in the middle. The hotel was being renovated the entire 5 day stay. I had pre-booked and was not told this in advance.

Unfortunately, this hotel was not clean in the rooms or hallways. The towels had stains on them, the headboard on the bed was crooked and had chips and scratches all over it. If you can't enter the hotel from the main road because it's a one way street that you have to go through an unpaved gravel lot to get to it which was a little shady. The breakfast was out of some of the basic foods by 8:00 am and the eggs were super watery. We will not be staying here again.

Our room was not ready when we got there, and it was past the designated check in time. The large fellow at the front desk was so accommodating and happy and sincere. Loved him. The room was ok but very damp. Floors were sticky. Just felt damp. Bathroom floor was slimy. Not because it wasn’t clean. Just wet. TV didn’t work at all. For $160, I expected better.

What was observed during our stay. Lets start with the general manager Shivan, he is tasked with trying to update an aging hotel, at the same time trying to keep guests happy. All guests have different expectations for their stay. Shivan will go the extra mile to keep guests happy & contented during their stay. I read some comments from other quests, there is some truth to it but not to that extreme. Guests need to understand this hotel is located in a very small town. Farmville does not offer affordable extended stay lodging or micro-apartments like metro cities offer. If guests live in a suburban bubble or have global traveler experience, then this hotel is not for you. There are modern hotels in town and they also have their share of issues due to Farmville being a small town. The guests are coming to this hotel for the cost structure. We left the upscale hotels due to their snobbish attitudes, we were looking for more down-to-earth atmosphere. This hotel fits the bill for this. The only thing I would recommend is to replace the entry doors with modern card key locking and remove the pool and create an outdoor firepit cooking experience for guests, away from the rooms. That would go along way for creating repeat business. The staff if you are lucky to meet them have hidden skills besides their quest service duties. Gabby is a multi-tasker, she will go above and beyond for the hotel & guests. Gabby needs her own show called Gabby’s playhouse. She is always working so hard to keep all the pieces in play on a daily basis. Savannah has a hidden talent where she would be great as a product placement spokesperson (even when I start my side business in 2024, I will be calling upon her for a travel sales position). Meikus also has a hidden talent, he has mastered the small talk (gift-of-gab) if you will. I hope to see him with his own radio/youtube channel broadcasting out to us all. The ice man will miss speaking with him. Then there is Shanay, she always greets you with a smile. She will do what she can to meet a guest request, Shanay has refined skills, where she would do well in a 5 star hotel. They are ALL so kind and friendly and will always try to help a guest if it is within their power.Lastly – the beating heart of this hotel is housekeeping, the housekeeping staff are always so friendly, kind, and sweet. No matter how tired they are trying to keep the rooms clean for guests, they will always stop and chit chat for a moment making your stay ends with a friendly experience. When it comes to gossip, housekeeping staff sees and knows all. If you want to know what is happening they are the go-to people for happenings.Wrapping up, if I was the general manager, providing daily lunch to staff will go a long way. They all work hard to give the guests the experience they request. It is hard to fill all, but they do what they can. From a business standpoint, if this hotel could be turned into tiny micro apartments it would fill a huge gap that Farmville is missing. Affordable long term corporate style lodging. My mom and I want to thank everyone during our duration at this hotel. Good Luck Shivan with future endeavors.Walkability: if you are a fast walker like myself, all stores are within a few minutes away.

This hotel is very outdated and not secure. Room door 100 looked like someone kicked the door in and the lock was broken. We were so afraid to sleep because of the low security. The room smelled like mildew and smelled like weed and old smoke. The carpet on the floors was wet. The sheets felt wet and had stains. We couldn’t even sleep under the covers because we felt like there were bed bugs. The outlets were chipped. All throughout the night there were very loud noises that made us very uncomfortable. We were out of town guess that checked in very late. We were originally booked 2 rooms, 3 nights but immediately told the front desk worker that we were only staying one night. He confirmed that he was only processing payment for one night stay but charged my card for all three nights. Also the photos on the website are false advertising. The build looked nothing like the pictures and the pool was not even available and looked like it had not been cleaned since before pandemic. Staying at this hotel felt scary and gave murder movie vibes. DO NOT STAY HERE.

A lot of loitering going on...No security lock on door, appeared to be ripped out of the door, room smelled rancid, bathroom appeared as if it was never cleaned from previous occupant. Hotel smelled of WEED as soon as you walk in.We ended up leaving and not even staying there, had to get another hotel room in town.Don't Waste your time or money.

When first arriving, the parking lot looks like a a war zone checkpoint (despite a 2019 review in which they said they were “working on it.”The hallway smelled of old smoke; the toilet was dirty (we cleaned it ourselves, so it was simply forgotten by the housekeeping crew); the shower floor was dirty and stained; the walls and doors were chipped, discolored, and marred; the pillows were little more than throw pillows; and the surface of the bedside table was sticky. This was the only hotel with a vacancy this past weekend, so we took it. Next time (we’re in Farmville several times a year), we’ll just keep driving. We are NEVER staying here again.
