Went in to get some pre-made borscht in a jar but after taking to a nice lady, and trying her homemade borscht I ended up getting that instead.I was also offered a freshly baked bread but sadly I couldn't wait 20 min for it.Great service, good selection!

Have been here for lunch. Natural and special flavors remember me, my little BUBU, and her grandmother. The Borsh was wonderful, and the bread is own maked. Special. Thanks to owners and special to the oldest at the store, she was great serving my petitions. Will came back 100%.

I don’t know much about grocery shopping for Eastern European food, but it seemed well stocked. Mostly leaving this comment because I don’t think the restaurant portion exists anymore. The lady I asked did not seem to speak English (perhaps Russian or Polish?) but I think I gathered that the restaurant was upstairs and it’s been sold. In any case, I was sad since I came to eat what looked like great food online! Market is still here though.

This place is such a rip off. Got charged $17 for a bag of pelimeni when everywhere else it’s $13. Ridiculous prices on items and the store looks so depressing.

The best Russian food store in the DMV. Always personable, attentive and honest!I love that I can find some Moldovan wine, candy and other items as well since the owner is from Moldova. Prices are similar compared to other Russian stores but you get a 30% discount for paying in cash . I love their homemade food, especially black bread.Happy they now moved even closer to where I live!

I went to buy cooked food to go. Borsch was Kuban style, orange in color and just like my grandma makes. Wonderfuly delicious and well balanced on vegies, thickness of broth, and acidity. Cabbage not overcooked. Just right. Blitzes with cheese were also fantastic. The Creppe was not too thin, soft and buttery with pores. And the farmers cheese filling on the sweet side with a pleasant hint of vanilla. Also, just as the best home made. Worth the cost.

Great place for Eastern European groceries. Very friendly staff and plenty of choices. Plus, store gives discount 30% for morning and evening.

I’m an American but I study Russian language at university. I came in to buy some snacks for an end of semester party. There are so many interesting and exciting products to buy here! Do not be intimidated to drop in, I guarantee you’ll find something you like. The staff was so patient and helpful and even helped me pick out the best Russian dishes to bring to my class. Спасибо большое!!

Quality of food and service deteriorated over the years - think twice before visiting.Grocery store selection shrinked, prices jumped. Employees looked depressed. Hard to believe in decline, as it was exciting place to visit for many years

Been there twice, both times they overcharged me for things I didn't get. If you go shopping here, watch the cashier closely.

Used to be my favorite place, overpriced but, once in a year I would go and shop there. I bought some chocolates recently, and it had worms in it!!!Don’t recommend to buy their products, who knows what else is expired!!

I used to like this store, but a few years ago the service got really bad. One woman who works there is very rude. Every time I asked her to assist me she was responding the way she was annoyed. I found a different store with much better service.

I have shopped here in the past...and have always just put up with the rude and unfriendly actions and attitudes of the owner. I will, hereafter not be shopping here---no longer accepting of the rotten behavior and atmosphere of this once (when it opened many years ago by the Ukrainian and Russian ladies that worked behind the counter who are no longer there) Russian Deli. The rude owner now waits on customers but no longer on me. It is time for this owner/ store to take a stand...stand up and decide which side are they are on in this horrendous Russian/Putin war against Ukraine......And, I have not seen any Ukrainian flags flying in front of Troika store!!

How tables have turned. The prices have gone up. But that's not the issue. The attitude of the management has turned in the unfortunate direction with its neutrality towards Russian war on Ukraine. One would say: wait, why does it have to do with the store. Simple: the atmosphere of the service. This is now an unpleasant store to be in. Avoid. Give business to Polish stores that sell the same foods.
