I recently took my car to Lee Auto Center, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the service I received. From the moment I arrived, the team was welcoming, professional, and clearly knowledgeable. I have taken my cars and those of my family to Lee’s Auto Center since the mid 1990s. His honesty, reliability, reasonable prices, and guaranteed service are impressive, and are high on my expectations of an automotive repair facility.
I have personally referred several friends to Mr. Lee’s Auto Center, and have heard no negative comments from them.
For first class service Mr. Lee is to be sought out for any automotive service you need.

This place is absolutely amazing. He told us a price and it ended up being less than that. He told us a time and it ended up being less than that. I cannot recommend this place enough. These people are so insanely nice and will do whatever to help you. I will be a reoccurring customer for sure.

My daughter just moved here. We needed to get an emission test and safety inspection. I had one day left in town to help get her settled in. Mr Lee got her in right away in half the time promised so we could get to the DMV on time.
Due to the hurricane (we live in Fl) the car developed a leak from the sunroof. I asked him about it as he was so kind, not thinking he would solve so many of my problems one day. I was about to take it to a dealership which I know would have cost $1,500 as I’ve had it done before. Lee said it would be at least $310, but only charged me $210.
To have such an honest man around the corner certainly sets my soul at peace with her car issues, oil changes and inspections. It’s the exact type of shop you hope you can find and a hidden gem.
He explained every mechanic had over 30 years of experience. He is a good and honest man and I left feeling I had made a friend as well as someone I could trust.
Don’t hesitate go here!

A true gem. We have been taking our cars to Lee's for years. Mr. Lee is experienced, honest, and delivers results. He has helped us with tires, transmissions, air conditioning, body work, oil leaks -- you name it. And he has saved us thousands of dollars vs. going to the dealership. Avoid. We dropped off my daughter’s car here yesterday for an oil change, safety inspection, and to have them plug a tire. This morning her transmission is completely shot. The car rumbles and groans and vibrates. The car has never done this until this morning. When I called to ask them about it they washed their hands of it and told us to take it to be fixed at the dealership. Beware.

I went to their shop to get a Virginia state emissions check. As soon as I parked, the younger employee with glasses recognized the check engine light on the car and immediately told me my inspections would fail. I informed him that the code reader from Advance Auto Parts gave a minor code for a loose gas cap, although trying to tighten the gas cap has not worked. He stated that any engine light being on would cause it to fail.
An older person then runs out and starts speaking in their home language to the young employee. It seemed like he was telling him to still recommend an emissions check regardless. The older employee almost abruptly took over the conversation and asked my what I would like help with.
After our conversation, I agreed to them running a diagnostic and then also doing my Emissions check later. While sitting in the waiting room however, I changed my mind and asked the younger employee behind the counter to clarify: If I had them do an emissions > the test failed > I ask them to assist with the repair > Will they bill me again for a second emissions?
The younger employee went back in to speak with the older person. He came back out and verbally said "No they would not charge again within 14 days". I then asked him to please do just the emissions and if it fails, I will work with them to fix the issue.
Once they did the emissions, the same older employee came out and let me know that there may be an EVAP systems leak. He gave me the cost of doing the test and then fixing once they have found the leak. I asked if I could step outside to make a few calls and a read up on this a bit.
About 15 minutes later I came back to ask a question. Before I could ask the question, the older employer (who at this point to me seems to be the owner), he tells me to take my car to a dealership. I asked if they aren't able to diagnose, he said no and that his machine broke. He said his employees just told him 15 minutes ago that his machine broke. I tried questioning this, but he was adamant on sending me on my way.
When paying, he was trying to charge me for a diagnosis and the emissions test. I questioned this as well and the older employee started to tell me that this is what I discussed with him. I agreed but I also told him that I then spoke to the younger employee and agreed on something separate. He then calls the younger employee in to confirm. They speak in their home language and the owner says he disagrees. I start to speak directly with the younger employee and the older employee sharged me the $30 and asks me to leave. I willingly left.
This place seems like they are doing shady case by case business on their own personal biases.

I’ve taken my 12-year-old car here twice and received excellent service both times. First time was for a whole range of issues - coils, gasket cover, etc - fixed within a day or two and for a reasonable price. 2nd time was for A/C systems issues. Had to have the entire system overhauled….including having the evaporator replaced. They had to remove the entire dashboard to accomplish this, something on the order of a 15 hour job. The car runs as well as when I bought it and they charged me almost half of what other places were quoting.
Here’s the thing - it’s a small private family business. Don’t come in expecting them to drop everything and help you because you have a flat tire or something. They will get to it when they can and provide excellent service. I’ve shown them loyalty and they’ve shown the same to me.
Lee’s Auto does an honest, professional job for a competitive price. Will be returning here for many years to come.
