I’ve had multiple bad experiences at this location. Mostly, these are the fault of management. They staff the location with a single employee who has to handle the front desk and process cars in the back. That doesn’t work well. Expect delays. Many delays. And expect that nobody has cleaned the car or filled the gas since it was returned from the last rental.
My problem today was nobody showed up at 8am to open the store. Waited around for 15m and then walked to Enterprise.

Have a reservation, show up, and the woman says there’s no cars until later. Asked her to cancel the reservation since I can’t do it in the app and she proceeds to just makes phone calls while I wait. Then she said it was cancelled, but it wasn’t. And when I pointed that out she checked again and saw it wasn’t cancelled, and handed me a number to call to deal with because she couldn’t. Worst customer service I’ve ever had at a rental car company.

Just be prepared to wait at this location even if there are no other customers. I hate the way they charge you when you exten. They cancel and charge you an new total including the new days. You already charged me. Just charge the new days. So hard to verify the charges as they add in unknown charges without explaining "gas and automotive" what? I filled the gas and washed the car. I feel I was over charged and complained. They said I was charged correctly with no explanation of why they decided that.

Paid for my rental, called and confirmed my rental, and when I arrived they didn't have my rental. This is the 3rd time this has happened to me at this location. No one even picked up the phone and called me to let me know.. WORST RENTAL CAR PLACE EVER.

Stay away, from this branch. Very bad service!
I reserved a 7 passenger car a week before of our trip . I called the company the day before pick up and confirmed the availability . However, The day of pick up the branch manager ( Abdul) said the car is not available and will call me when the car become available . He never called and didn't answer my phone calls later that day either.
I had to make a separate arrangement for my rental call in a hurry. Instead of compensating me for all the inconveniences and costs, they also charged a penalty fee for a car which never been delivered.

Customer service sucks they he made me wait to get my car for more than 30 minutes after I booked. He was helping other people who came after me.

Had to use a rental when my car was in the shop and was optimistic despite some reviews here. I rented a car for 24-hours on Wed August 21 and honestly had a fine experience both getting and driving the car. I returned it with the exact amount of fuel as I got it. My final receipt was emailed to me, roughly matching the amount I had agreed to pay when getting the car. But then when the charge cleared on my CC, a fuel/service fee of about $135 had appeared. I never give reviews, but I can't get a person on the phone to discuss further so here we are!
At the very least, hope this helps others be a little more careful than I was while reading the fine print and/or making sure they understand possible charges. I had just assumed they would notify me if they had to make additional charges and explain. I'm more frustrated at that - the lack of communication and explanation. I understand in situations like this, the final charge almost never matches the initial agreement BUT when I get an email a day later with a final receipt once everything is said and done, I expect that be, you know, the final receipt... and no matter what, I'd like to at least be able to get a human on the phone to explain to me exactly what I did wrong.

Don’t rent form Hertz. We reserved a car online and arrived at the Falls Church pickup site and no cars were available. The attendant had no solution and blamed it on ‘corporate’. A customer in front of us had the same problem. Also, they don’t seem to answer their phone at the FC location.

This place took a reservation. I reach the branch to find they are closed on Saturdays. The branch has also displayed their timings on the door saying they are open on Saturdays. Why did Hertz even allow me to make a reservation if they are closed? Was able to reach customer care after 20 mins of hold, explained my situation, was put on hold for another 10 minutes only to be told that they do not have availability anywhere in the entire Washington DC area and hung up on me. Very disappointing.

Car was not clean inside (half eaten cheese pocket and some dirty napkins), but otherwise good. I went to the Falls Church Hertz to drop off my car at 4:45pm (they close at 5pm) as scheduled only to find out the employee had already left for the day. There is no drop box so had to take the car home. Will try again tomorrow morning but this is quite a hassle. If closing time is 5pm you’d expect there to be someone at 4:45pm if there is a scheduled drop off at 5pm.

My experience at this location was a nightmare. Pretty much everything that could go wrong went wrong. My reserved car was unavailable, I was billed for a different customer's reservation #, the car I received was overdue for service by 5k miles, there was a taillight out, the car was filthy. Very, very poor customer service.

Made a booking for a sedan and they didn't have one. That's understandable, but I'd expect to get some other car instead to fufill the booking. Nope, they tried to charge me nearly double for an SUV because that's all they had on the lot. This is with hertz presidents circle status too. After this and other recent bad experiences with hertz, I'll be ditching the company and if you're reading this you should too.
