Falls Church Animal Hospital was a great vet/kennel for my dog. They were kind and communicative with me, and gentle with my dog who gets nervous at the vet. I would highly recommend them!

My wife has been bringing her pets here since she was 8 1/2 years old This has been for 60 years now!I have been coming here for over 30 years. We completely trust these vets and their staff. They have seen us through happy puppy arrivals, worrisome illnesses, and finally, painful deaths. We will continue to use FCAH for our canine family members. Staff kindness and sensitivity mean a lot to us.

Would not recommend this veterinary practice to anyone in Northern VA. We established care with FCAH after moving to the area and from the beginning our experience was nothing but disappointing. At the first wellness visit they recommended surgery for one of our dogs. It took months to get that scheduled and we had to call numerous times to finally get it scheduled. On the day it was scheduled, they cancelled his surgery around 3pm because their schedule was running late but they did not bother communicating that to us until they expected us to come pick up our dog who had been there all day. After finally getting his surgery rescheduled and completed, he had several complications and despite persistently calling to express my concerns, the staff was very dismissive and refused to allow us to schedule an appointment for a follow-up for over a week. When we finally did get an appointment there were several issues identified and my dog required medications and an additional follow-up appointment to address the problems. Numerous times when we brought in stool or urine samples, the samples were “lost” so we never received results of those tests and when we would try to bring in new samples, we were told we would be charged for the test(s) again. Attempting to get prescription refills from the office is also a nightmare. Once you put in the refill request, you can expect to call/email at least 3-4 times before you will get a response on why the request is not being filled. The office then likes to tell you they will not refill the requests until certain “required” labs or appointments are completed despite those requirements never being previously communicated when the medications were purchased at an upcharged price through the office. It usually takes about a month or longer to get prescription requests finally approved/refilled if you are consistently persistent in demanding communication from the front office staff. Overall, it seems the staff at FCAH don’t actually care about their patients or their well-being. When concerns are brought up, there is always an excuse of them being “overstaffed” or the front desk staff being “inexperienced”. Save yourself money, time, and headaches by bringing your pet to a different office for their veterinary care.

Do not board your pet here…animal hospitals are not the equivalent of a boarding facility. Dogs only get let out 3x a day in the small, filthy run for 5 minutes max…then left alone overnight for 12 hours. The small cat room is horrible as well. Pay for rover or a pet sitter, this is not a good place to leave your pet for more than a night or two…

Last week, we brought our dachshund, Fritz, in for his annual visit. We have been using Falls Church Animal Hospital for many years and have always been satisfied with the care that was taken on each of our visits. While we used to request a specific vet, most of the ones we have used have retired therefore, we have our dog seen by the assigned doctor. On this past visit, as in the past, we feel our dog was well taken care of and carefully examined. We have every reason to continue using Falls Church Animal Hospital.

I've had great experiences over the past year bringing my cats into the office. The staff is very helpful and friendly IN PERSON. However, it's been impossible to get my cat a refill of his medicine. My husband and I have bent over backwards moving our schedules around this week to take our cat in for a vet visit earlier than his scheduled appointment and driving to pharmacies and finding out the wrong dose was on the new prescription. We've been trying to get my cat a refill of his medicine FOR TWO WEEKS and it's clearly not a priority to any of the staff. My cat is in distress without his medication and I know everyone is trying, but it's just not acceptable that it's taken this long.

I'd like everyone and there loving pets, please be advised Dr,Mingler ,nice enough but truly didn't care or exam properly to an aging dog, perhaps before wasting your time and money, rather have called Doogie Houser, go back to school kid aim sure Binden will pay your student loans, disgusting

Was treated rudely while dropping off a stool sample and then charged for it despite being on a doggy wellness plan that covers the exam. Something has changed here in the past few months for the worse.

I want to belatedly thank FCAH for taking excellent care of my cat. I brought him in several weeks ago after he had largely stopped eating and was acting lethargically (I didn't have an appointment, but the receptionist was able to get me in the day I called). The shift vet was very understanding and prescribed some appetite stimulants which seemed to work. Dr. Brennan also followed up several days later with the results of bloodwork and urinalysis. The result is my cat is just about fully recovered and is eating & acting normally. Thanks so much to FCAH for taking such good care of my pet!

This Doctors & Staff go over and be on the animals they take care off. They put the owners or parents in me and my wife's case to put at ease. The bill is very reasonable and will be helpful if need in some cases I've heard. Just an amazing Clinic. I have been a take my pets to them for well over twenty year's.

When I moved to the area 10 years ago, FCAH was highly recommended by a close friend, and I could not have been more satisfied with the level of care and compassion given to my aging and ill little cat right up until the day she passed. A year later, I adopted another kitty and was especially happy to see Naomi and Dr. Yam again at the hospital. They are examples of the best you could hope for in the care of your four-legged family members, and I am so grateful for their support.

My dog has never been there but had an accident and was seen at an emergency vet. We had an appointment at his usual veterinary office but they were unable to see him for another week. Unfortunately, he couldn’t wait that long to have his bandage changed so we called this office for a bandage change. The receptionist was awful. We explained the situation and instead of offering an appointment she told us that we must not have a vet for our dog since we are calling here for an appointment and we should just go back to the emergency vet. What kind of response is that? I’ve taken my cats and dogs here previously but I won’t ever again.

We took our newly adopted cat to Falls Church Animal Hospital today for a wellness exam and routine tests. The staff were all fantastic - knowledgeable, friendly, and thorough in their check-up! We will definitely be making this our routine vet’s office.
