I had such a great time with my golden Finn! We’re new to the area and we move around a lot so we’ve been to a lot of vets. I’ve found it hard to find ones I like. This team was amazing and we’re happy to be patients here as long as we’re in the area.

Great experience whenever I go to Fairfax Animal Hospital ! The staff is always friendly, and the vets are caring and knowledgeable. Léa is always well taken care of, and the clinic is clean and organized. Highly recommend!

We came here for our sick hamster. The staff were all very kind and did their best for our little guy, but in the end they didn’t know what was wrong and referred us to a vet who specialized in exotic pets. This meant we ended up paying for 2 emergency visits, so next time I would start with the specialist. (The specialist was almost twice as expensive, so in some cases starting here might be a cheaper option if your pet has a problem that’s easier to diagnose.)

My sweet little boy came to the vet to get all of his vaccines and I wanted to go to an office where the vet techs and the people who work there are passionate for animals and actually care about the well being of our furbabies and as soon as I walked in they immediately fell in love with rippo! He was in his stroller and they just wanted to pet him and showered him with compliments. Now I just moved from Houston to VA and I brought all my records and they happily accepted and verified them! So my baby boy is now up to date on everything and what I love about this office is that on the receipt it says it is NORMAL for your pet to be lethargic after a specific amount of hours and to not worry. My last vet appointment in Houston they did not tell me this and I was spending $1000 of dollars and wondering why my baby boy wasn’t his normal self. I trusted them and now my baby boy is his goofy self again! I know the prices are a bit high. But I’d rather spend all that money knowing he’s in the best hands and care available in the area!

Very easy to schedule an appointment and they were very transparent with pricing. Compared to other vets I called for pricing they are substantially affordable. They were very sweet with my new kitten and have helped me greatly with understanding next steps!

Since moving to the area, I have tried a handful of vets and they all seemed overpriced and didn't really take their time during exams. However, they always wanted to upsale me on tests and medications. This animal clinic was very patient and kind, they really took the time to get to know my doggie and let me doggie know them. They thoroughly examined her and really made me feel like they care about her. Overall she was healthy so they said we didn't need anything, but they did make suggestions since my doggie was a senior dog. I didn't feel like they were just trying to upsale to me. I'm so glad we found this place!!

I've taken my cat there for a couple of visits and the experience has been great both times. The staff was very friendly and the doctors were competent, treated my cat very gently and answered all our questions patiently.

Sadly, we moved to a different vet after a ton of mishaps. First, it is never easy to get an appointment when you need one. Second, my senior dog had abnormal blood test results that were not followed up on. At our most recent visit for his breathing issues, I was told no real solution or answers. I left knowing something was wrong but had no answers. We ended up switching vets for a second opinion. That vet did X rays after feeling unusual bloat. The X-rays showed a basketball sized tumor on his liver that had spread to his lungs. If Fairfax had gone just a little bit further in helping us get an appointment or caring during that appointment, this would not have been missed. Also always hated that they NEVER knew our dog’s names when we came in. It doesn’t take much to know who has an appointment and faking some custom service. It goes a long way.

The staff are always very kind and accommodating! Vet prices can definitely add up but I’m comfortable with what I spend for my dog’s care here. I’ve been coming here since 2019 I believe and I plan to stay with them as long as I’m in the area.
I’ve had to advocate some in the past for myself and my dog to get the treatment plan that I felt comfortable with, but everything was always handled appropriately after I mentioned my boundaries, financial concerns, or my knowledge of my pet and her needs.
Only consistent complaint from me is the location/parking lot, but it doesn’t prevent me from getting things done. Just have to remain vigilant and be careful navigating through the parking lot.
