A bit on the smaller side but I had several specific items I needed, and going in as a non Asian I was able to easily find and procure everything I needed. The staff was friendly and the food was delicious!

The lunch counter is in the back of the small market. The food is very good and fairly authentic. It's perfect for a quick and easy Thai lunch or to get take out when you don't want to deal with the whole sit-down restaurant thing. The lunch counter shares the kitchen with Rabieng restaurant next door and both are owned by the same person as Duangrat's restaurant a block away.
The larb pla duk and yum woon sen were both delicious. I've also had raad nah, pad kee mao and kao soi which were all decent. The only disappointment was the bland somtam. Service was friendly. They may forget to bring condiments so be sure to ask if they're not on the table.
As for the market itself, it has a small selection of Thai-branded products but what stands out is a large selection of Thai instant noodles and freshly made Thai desserts.

Very friendly staff with hard to get authentic ingredients and some dishes made fresh to orderSome great items:- Sai Oua (Chiang Mai sausage)- Som Tum Poo Plara (papaya salad Isaan style)- Lobo spice mixes (great authentic pastes and seasonings for less hassle)- Fresh Veggies and Herbs- Flying Rabbit Antacid (best Antacid...just makes sense since everyone eats spicy food)

I went to this place almost 10 years ago and it was exceptional. I went back recently and the food quality has definitely dropped. I was not impressed and will not be returning.

I recently attended a pad thai cooking class, so I was on a mission to gather all the ingredient to create a homemade version, stat!I had already checked out all the Korean/international grocery stores, but I couldn't find a specific ingredient - preserved radish!Duangrat's came to the rescue, as I had remembered dining at their restaurant years ago and that they had a specialty mart right around the corner. This place has been around since the early '80s, catering to the local Asian immigrant population. Boy, has times have changed with the blow-up in the popularity of Asian cuisine!Stepping in, you can tell that this a true mom-and-pop food mart that offers a modest selection of fresh produce, frozen goods, and specialty Asian items, specifically hard-to-find Thai ingredients. I also was pleasantly surprised that the prices were super competitive - I thought the mart would charge at a higher mark-up!And, for the preserved radish? They had boxes and boxes and boxes of it! The price? Literally cost 3 times less than the larger grocery chain stores - unbelievable! The mart also has some hot food available, a la carte, by the cash register, as well as a small eatery in the back, featuring daily specials and a couple of tables to dine-in.Would love to return to check out the rest of their items and continue to support this little gem!+great selection of specialty Asian items+hot food, a la carte, available+eatery located in the back+competitive prices!+located next to Rabieng+plenty of parking in plaza lot
