It's a good place to buy photographic supplies and it's the worst for developing film, I am not exaggerating when I say the worst

Dominion is my local camera shop, in an age where local camera shops have largely ceased to exist. When the Canon r6 released and was backordered online, I bought one in stock at Dominion. When the Canon EF to RF adapter was NOWHERE to be found (and backordered for months), Dominion had an abundance of them. When I need film developed, they are always on time and reliable. When I needed camera repair on a vintage model, the owner (I think?) began the work as a sort of passion project right in front of me, and finished 45 minutes later with a smile on his face. When I needed camera repair on a current model, they took over filling out the repair order and sending it back to Canon on me behalf, with me needing only to pay for shipping back to the repair center. This shop is consistent, reliable, well-stocked, above all else KNOWLEDGEABLE about photography and equipment and most importantly, friendly and personable when interacting with any of the employees (and the owner).I am very grateful for a brick and mortar full service photography shop in 2023. Cheers

I mailed my film to them from about 20 miles away. They got it the next day, processed it, and mailed my negatives back. Dropped it off at the post office on Tuesday, had my uploaded photos Thursday night, and the negatives back in my mailbox Saturday morning. Very quick, very professional, and responded to emails. Wouldn’t choose anywhere else.

Exceptional scanning service! I brought a treasured vintage color negative in to be scanned. The final output was amazing! Staff was cordial and professional. Turnaround was fast.

Very rarely do I leave reviews. Horrible experience. Talked over me and wouldn’t let me get to the objective of the visit. When I tried to explain the associate got nasty and condescending. Will never be back. Unfortunate because I see for the majority a lot of good feedback

I dropped film off Tuesday for a Thursday pick up. I went here because the other film developing shop I went to closed down and had mentioned it was my first time when asked by the man who was checking me out. I paid upfront for what I thought was everything as I was not told otherwise. When I went today to pick up the film I was told there was an additional cost per print. I have never heard of this and was not told ANYTHING about this cost when I dropped it off, in fact, the man at the counter actually asked if I wanted DOUBLE prints and still did not disclose there was an extra cost for them. If I had known, I absolutely would not have brought my services here and would have waited the extra day at other local film development businesses. If they were upfront about the cost I would absolutely not be writing this but honestly, I feel a bit scammed as that was not told to me at all prior to me shelling out additional money. Very disappointed at the shady business practices of this place and I am hoping they will rectify this for future customers. I will absolutely not be returning.

Impressed with thoroughness and professionalism of staff to diagnose and correct a problem I was having with one of my cameras. Will return and do recommend.

A disappointing experience developing my film. Dominion Camera no longer allows you to keep the negatives if you have your photos sent by email. What a headache. I like to see my photos before ordering prints - this policy leaves me with the choice of making an additional trip, or spending money in advance on prints I may not have wanted. I live too far to be coming back and forth.I get why emailing & prints at the same time isn’t allowed, because it’s wasteful if people don’t pick up the physical photos. But holding onto negatives costs nothing. Frankly, the quality of the prints this time wasn’t worth the hassle or cost. I might come back for film, but not printing. There’s a shop up in Merrifield that offers development for the same quality at half the cost, and with quicker processing times.

It's a good old fashioned camera store. It has everything you usually need. Friendly staff who can recommend and consult. The only small disappointing thing: my foreign debit card didn't go through though it worked in all other stores.

This place is amazing, very high quality work and they go above and beyond for their customers. Would recommend, 10/10, this IS the place for all your camera needs, especially developing film both physically and digitally!

One of the best vintage camera stores in the area hands down! If you are looking for something specific they will have it! They have more inventory than many internet stores. Also lots of vintage Leica cameras and equipment as well as Polaroid. A great camera store gem in Virgina!

I bought an old film camera online a couple months ago, I was brand new to photography and the people here explained how everything works in depth, they are all extremely friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this store!

Who ever said the customer service was good is delusional. I went in to get my film developed. He asked me if I wanted prints or digital and I said both. He told me that he can’t do both and if I wanted it, I need to do prints first, then when I come to pick up, I can order the digital copies. He was so rude to me. I won’t ever come hear again, I was literally about to walk out from the horribleness if this experience, which is a real shame.

I believed those good reviews and went to the shop. I was there at least 3 times, most of them were bad experiences. Yesterday I was there to print pictures, 15 minutes job took me 45 minutes. Till the last minute the "technician" still don't know what's the problem and how to fix it. It was I - a client - suggested to him to use an extra usb flash to resolve the issue. I explained to him that I wanted passport like photos, even specifically showed to him what's the size of head in the picture that I wanted. Today I went to get the printouts and found those pictures were totally unacceptable. Not only the size of the heads were not what I wanted, but the heads are not even whole. They refund me the money of course with no problem, but they tared those pictures in front of me in pieces like those pictures meant nothing to me. Seem to me very unprofessional. I'm sure some of their works worth the 5 star those reviewers gave to them. But I got only 1 star services. May be they have double or even multiple standards for their shop policy. This shop always give me an impression that they don't care to have my business. Whatever I cannot do by myself, they cannot do neither or they can only do it in a ridiculous high price - or I better don't bother the shop. I regret that I donated some of my used and brand new camera related items to this shop. Most likely I won't bother this shop any more.It never happened as in their reply that "you would have seen the on the Kiosk before they were ordered/printed". If I had seen the output on their machine I'd never put the order at first place.

Gary is the best. I was looking for ZV-E10 ( sold out everywhere you can check that right now) but I swore it was sold out. He told me hd actually had one and the color I wanted. He looked all over the store and finally found it. That’s customer service you won’t find at Best Buy. I’m so happy with my purchase this is the only place I’m going to for camera equipment and vlogging gear.
