Dr. Newman was the best bet around and we really miss him. But RAH continues with the best pet care in the NVR. Our dog is very nervous about vet visits but the are kind and keep him calm. He has even become a fan of visiting Karen at the puppy hotel (boarding) when we can't take him on trips with us.

Dr Claffey and Dr Hansen are great to care for your fur babies. The staff are very friendly. They will help you with whatever your needs are for your pets.

My elderly cat Link, has arthritis in his hips, The nurse didn't use much care when taking his temperature, she pulled up on his tail which in turn made him cry out in pain! I said he has arthritis, she still continues to hold onto his tail while he tries to bite! Link is a docile cat. I was shocked to say the least. I told a friend about this, she informed me that they can use a digital thermometer to take temperatures. Why would they not do this instead of putting an elderly cat in pain? Of course this was one nurse, not the intire staff. Until today my pets have had great experiences. Now I know, and will be taking a digital thermometer with me next time.

Visited RAH today after our dog became lame in his rear end. He was in so much pain he wouldn’t allow anyone to touch him. Dr. Claffey and his staff were extremely professional, and caring. The assistants were able to calm him down so the Dr could do his physical. We were treated with upmost respect and care. I would highly recommend RAH.

We always board our dog with them. She came back so happy and playful! I hate to leave her but I know she’s well cared for there. Our older dog had to be euthanized a couple of years ago and they were so kind and thoughtful. It’s not the closest or least expensive vet to us but it’s worth the drive and extra money for the love and care they show our pets. Highly recommend!

I have a Siamese cat that was sick so we took it to Radford Animal hospital. They said nothing was wrong with it and told us that it was a boy. Well about 3 months later it had kittens . Seems like a vet that knows anything could tell the sex of a kitchen!!!!!!!

The staff were excellent and so kind and caring through everything. We were very worried about having a tumor removed from our dog, but they did an amazing job, answered all of our questions throughout the process, and provided excellent care to our pet. She was back up and running and happier than ever in no time. The whole staff was very sweet and great to work with. Couldn't be happier to be using Radford Animal Hospital as our full time veterinarian for now on. Thank you Dr. Claffey and company!

worst place ever, they cant open on time, went to pick up my dogs they brought someone elses dogs out!! then takes for every to bring my dogs out , my little dogs ear were so wet like try tried to clean her up before giving her to me, i have no trust in these people

The staff at Radford Animal are some of the best people I've ever met. We had to put my 12 year old pit mix to sleep and the staff were so supportive and helpful with a very difficult time. They provided a beautiful paw print cast of my baby's paw and also sent a card a week after. The loss of a pet is very difficult and having something to remember him by was just amazing. I never would have thought to create such a memento because his decline and passing was so sudden I wasn't prepared or planning ahead but Radford Animal was. I treasure this memory of him and cannot thank Radford Animal enough for supporting my family through a very difficult time.
