We have visited Fox Hill twice now and really love our time there. Charlie and Julie are amazing hosts, and the site is gorgeous. It is a wonderful place to enjoy the beauty of the landscape and to remember what peace means. I would highly recommend it. I would also recommend visiting Luray Caverns on the way there - indescribable.

What an amazing place. Julie and Charlie are wonderful hosts, and they've built a beautiful bed and breakfast. Our room had a full kitchen and balcony, and was very comfortable. We slept great. Breakfast was outstanding, and they are well prepared for those with restricted diets. We loved visiting with the horses and chickens, and really liked the fresh eggs! So peaceful, we would definitely stay here again.

I only write reviews if the facility is really good or really bad and I'm pleased to say that Fox Hill exceeded our expectations and we cannot wait to return. It is in a very quiet, beautiful location with a view of the mountains. The inn is cozy, well-decorated, and our room had two porches, an outside entrance, an anteroom with fridge and closet, a very comfortable bed with luxury mattress and linens, TV/wifi, etc. There is a very dramatic dining room/main room with coffee and a cozy TV game room for relaxing. Our bedroom, the game room and the main room had fireplaces. The innkeepers are very professional; Charlie and Julie are available if you want them to be, or can leave you alone. Charlie is a trained chef and he made an absolute fantastic and varied cooked-to-order breakfast. The location is very rural, but only 15 minutes to downtown Lexington or 20 minutes to Staunton. As I said above, we can't wait to return.

Fox HillWe were searching for a dog friendly place with a great view. Nailed it, and more with Fox Hill! So many beautiful places outside to wander with our dog. And then at the end of the day, up to our wonderful Mountain View suite with a lovely electric fireplace, kitchenette area, and cozy bedroom. We loved everything about this place. Julie gave us great tips for area attractions that fit our needs. Yummy 3-course breakfasts each morning: muffin or pastry, fresh fruit and choice of sweet or savory entrée. Thanks so much, Charlie and Julie for your excellent hospitality. They thought of everything!Rooms: Recommend Mountain View Suite

We had a wonderful stay at the Fox Hill Bed and Breakfast. Charlie and Julie are fantastic hosts and they have an amazing B&B. Amazing views everyday. Love the big rooms and what can we say about the breakfasts, but they are fantastic and you get so full you usually pass on lunch. The Fox Hill is located on a beautiful piece of property very secluded and peaceful, but easy access from I81. Great walking trails and Horses and chickens to feed. My wife and I have stayed in a few bed and breakfast's and this has been our favorite. Thank you again Charlie and Julie.

Large property with lots of rolling hills, Mountain View’s, horses and outdoor seating. Friendly Inn Keepers and well maintained property. We decided to stay here on our way home to Ohio from a vacation in Nags Head, North Carolina. Very happy we did. Very accommodating to us and our dog and we had a really nice relaxing overnight stay. We had plenty to do right here on the property to keep us busy and more than enough room and animals to keep the dog busy. Breakfast was amazing, best bacon ever! Our room was large, clean and stuffed with tons of little extra amenities. For us and our dog!

Wow! My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Fox Hill Sept 24-26.We booked in mid-August and I admit to being concerned about the dated room pictures (they have since been updated) and dog hair/smell as they are pet friendly. Boy was I wrong!Julie greeted us and gave us a short tour and showed us to our room. As soon as she left my wife exclaimed that the room was much nicer than pictures showed. And, talk about clean! Our room and the Inn smelled great and Julie and Charlie are impeccable cleaners.Great breakfasts too! They owned a restaurant in N VA so they know what they are doing on the kitchen. We only snacked between breakfast and dinner because there was plentiful, good food. We've recommended Fox Hill to several people already and I'm sure that we will return.

My boyfriend and I wanted to get away from the city and this was the most perfect B&B that we could have found! Julie and Charlie are fantastic hosts and incredibly kind people. The food was delicious and they made our stay so comfortable with our dog. We got to build a fire on their property one night and had a beautiful, clear view of the stars and the rolling meadows around us. We will definitely be back! I wish I could give this place more than five stars - we highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a peaceful getaway!

Oh my. Wish we did not have to leave. Restful, so restful B&B where the host and hostess considered everything that would delight their guests. Breakfasts were so extra. Our fruit cups had 11 different delicious fruit, and generous and delicious sweet and savory options for the main course were just outstanding. Home-grown ingredients from their organic garden just made it so special. The room and the views of the fields were just lovely. We stayed two nights and wish we could have indulged even longer - this was just one of the best B&B stays we ever experienced.

Fox Hill B&B is hands down the best B&B you will find! Charlie and Julie are incredible hosts and the property is out of a fairy tale. Phenomenal breakfast each morning and cozy and private rooms. Easy access to Lexington and many outdoor attractions along the Blue Ridge Mountains. Only problem is you may never want to leave! Would give them 10 stars if it were possible!

Everything about our stay was perfect. The mountain setting, the 38 acre well- kept private property with horses and walking areas, a spacious back deck for large gourmet breakfasts, and private bedrooms. The owners Charlie and Julie have a history in the hospitality industry as well as a love for the outdoors and it shows! I highly recommend this when you want a peaceful retreat!

We just came back from a perfect mountain getaway at Fox Hill B&B. The owners Julie and Charlie have a history in the hospitality industry as well as a love of the outdoors and it shows. The breakfasts were served on a large outdoor deck and were delicious as well as abundant portions. There was a choice of two main dishes each day which we appreciated. We elected one of each so we could sample both. The setting is idyllic. It is about a 20 minute drive to Lexington, but it is worth it for 38 acres of peace and quiet, horses, a well maintained natural property, and Mountain View's.

Went with my girlfriend and dog just before Christmas for some peace + quiet and hiking. Without a doubt the best B&B we've ever stayed in. Julie and Charlie are wonderful hosts, the property and rooms are gorgeous, and the nearby trails are phenomenal. Charlie's breakfast was simply outstanding - could not have asked for a better way to start the day each morning. My girlfriend and I enjoyed the peaceful scenery and our dog had the time of his life exploring the farm and nearby trails. Would highly, highly recommend to anyone considering a stay in the region!!
