Unprofessional and deceptive. They hired me for a work from home job. According to the Job description it was suppose to be an hourly pay. When I started working with them, I realized it was all lies and it was a commission based job where you had to knock doors constantly. Seeing this wasn’t what I signed up for, I was about to leave but one of their managers by the name of Justus Cade made a compromise where I would get paid hourly and we would share commissions for the install. I agreed only for him to stop my hourly pay for whatever reason few weeks later. I decided to leave but prior to leaving I had an install which I was supposed to get paid on. My commission on the install was supposed to be $9000. Due to spite. Justus and his team took my entire commission on the basis that he was paying me from his own funds. First off, I didn’t ask you to do that but does it matter really if I earned it? Does It mean I don't get paid for my installs? Apparently. Anyways just another example of how employers take advantage of employees with their Phony practices. I would never trust them with my business

Run from sunrun! We bought out our solar panels and they are still charging us a monthly fee. They also are charging us late fees and fees for taking off auto pay. We have spent hours on the phone trying to resolve this for them to keep changing their story about why and how we owe them money... The invoice was created both before and after we made our final payment according to them. Also the meter didnt stop running just because we paid for the panels in full. It has been a nightmare. Use any other company!

They are quick to offer deals on installation and financing. HOWEVER, do not expect that level of customer service to extend past installation. They will do any and everything in their power to not hold up their performance guarantee. In California this is a huge problem because the reason for solar is to avoid the insane energy costs. Now I'm stuck paying both. Do your research. Look elsewhere.

SunRun installed my solar panels and roof at the same time, also told me that if anything went wrong during the service period to call them and they would take care of it.Had first issue with the roof and called my PoC Grant and had almost immediate resolution, was impressed with company response and customer service. Service team of Mike and Tyler diagnosed and fixed issue within 30 min. Great experience!

We received representatives of Sunrun to do a proposal and estimate for their services. One of the representatives was clandestinely recording our conversation. The most innocent explanation may be that this would be for training purposes - but even the creepy bill collector will let you know that you're being recorded...

Omar Babar stopped by our house at 8:00 p.m. at night could not produce a permit for solicitation as it's illegal in the town of Vienna and then he would not show any sort of proof he worked with Dominion. This seems like a scam Don't go with this company.

I've had solar through Sunrun since June 2021. Averaged less than $10 per month on the Dominion bill and earned over $1,000 from Viriginia's program! Love it!

My sister and her husband got solar panels from Sunrun and their rep Josh came highly recommended so we looked into it and contacted him. He was amazing, he took the time to explain the process and the benefits. He has an amazing work ethic and will see the process through from beginning to end. Thank you Josh!!!

Don't do it.We were cautious at first, but we liked our sales rep and the contract seemed solid. Also, Costco uses this company, and we figured if Costco used them, they would be reputable.Things went great at first. Roof work was completed well and the installation seemed to go smoothy. Then we waited for inspection, which was needed for the system to be connected and started up. And we waited...and waited...and nothing. We reached out to our sales rep after 45 days (our contract required inspection and connection within 60 days) and learned he was no longer with the company. Then we reached out to his regional manager, who was there when we signed the contract. He got back to us and said he'd follow up, but we never heard from him again. We called the Fairfax office, but we were directed to the 1-800 customer service line. They said they'd call back, but didn't. Then we called again and I pitched a FIT and they sent an email to a customer service rep and copied me. I emailed them and said if our financing expired due to their delays, we would expect them to reduce the cost of the system to make up for higher interest rates. Then we got a response. But it wasn't good. She acted helpful and said we'd schedule inspection ASAP. And would we like to go ahead and pay for the system before it was inspection so our loan could get started? No, we would not, we said, but thanks anyway. We wanted to pay after inspection. No problem, she said. We'll get this schedule. And we waited...I have no inspection date yet, but their financing company just emailed me to say they paid for our system and our loan closed. When I called to ask how that could happen, since our system isn't functioning, they didn't have any answers but will call back in 48 hours. So now I'm waiting...while interest accrues. We should have gone with another company.

I had to wait to write this review, as I was extremely upset with my experience with Vivint Solar in February of 2021. I wanted to be sure I had time to reflect on this encounter before sharing. The second star is only for the employee who took my name out of their customer database as requested. We had considered buying solar panels for our home, so we used the contact information from signs posted in our neighborhood to learn more about the process and to get a quote. The salesperson contacted me to get more information from us, including a recent copy of our NOVEC bill. We also set up an appointment after this call. I did not realize that this appointment would be an hour-long sales pitch inside our home. Most contractors we worked with during this time would meet with us outside to minimize direct contact during the pandemic and could efficiently walk through the work to be done. However, the salesperson assured me he was fully vaccinated and we wore masks during the meeting. He provided some print-outs of our property to show where the panels would go and projected energy costs in the future. During this conversation, he asked me no fewer than three times where my husband was and clearly expressed his displeasure at the fact he wasn't there, insisting I wouldn't be able to adequately convey the information he was presenting to me. Each time I grew more and more frustrated. I'm a teacher, so I convey information to others for a living. Additionally, the cost of the solar panels would have come out of my bank account, as I was the one who had budgeted for this project. However, he made it very clear that he felt I could not understand his sales pitch without my husband there, nor would I be capable of making the decision to purchase the system with my own money. Afterward, I discussed the interaction with my husband. Ultimately, we decided not to get the panels based on where they would need to be placed on the roof. However, even if we did want to get the panels, I would not have gone through this salesperson. When I replied to his follow-up text about our decision, he tried to pressure us into changing our minds to the point where I had to block his number from my phone. Again, his texts stated that part of the reason for not moving forward with the sale must have been because I did not give my husband a perfect sales pitch. When another employee called to follow up about our interest in the solar panels a few months later, I explained what had transpired and how I felt insulted by the misogyny throughout these interactions. I asked to be taken off their list and my wishes were respected. (I truly appreciate that employee for listening and acknowledging what I had experienced.) I took the money I was going to use for the solar panels and bought a motorcycle for myself instead!

Hit my car while installing neighbors panels. Tech was great and told me even though he could have left and i never would have known. The company however never responds and seems like they want to avoid taking responsibility.

I paid 50K for Vivint Solar panels in March 2020, I now save $20 per month on my electric bill. Vivint says my solar panels are working perfectly and wont come inspect to see if there is a problem. My sales person was Will Hard. To this day vivint says my panels are working and will do nothing to help. Buyer beware

I just had my panels installed yesterday. So far the experience has been outstanding. Vivint took care of all the paperwork with the HOA, county and Dominion Power. Crew showed up and installed the system within one day. Professional and clean installation. No issues at all.Next steps are the county inspection, power company meter change out and Vivint activation.Waiting to see if the other reviews I read about poor service become a reality. I hope not. But Until then I am going to say this is an excellent company.

This was one of the easiest, most efficient, home improvement initiatives I have ever undertaken. I had been thinking of going solar but hadn't taken steps to understand how it would work. A Vivint sales representative came to my door and explained the process and we were off to the races. Within 5 weeks solar panels were installed. A professional team from sales to installation. All questions answered in a clear an informative manner.

The installation process went as smooth as cam expected but once the panels are installed all help and communication stops. We were told that Vivint would cover the first 6 months payments and it’s been 2 months and still no payment. Their customer service keeps saying they are looking into the matter when the promotion is posted on their own website. The salesman who was the point of contacted just disappeared as soon as the panels were installed. Overall the process has been misleading. The panels were installed and are generating power but beyond that it’s like many sales companies. Get you to sign on the dotted line and then just disappear with all the other obligations.
