“took my guinea pig there back in february when her normal vet couldn’t figure out what was wrong with her and she was losing weight fast. going to an exotics vet is so important if you have a guinea pig or other small animal. my other vet was good but she just wasn’t knowledgeable enough on guinea pigs. i learned my lesson and now will only trust an exotics vet with my babies. thank you stahl for finding and treating my piggie’s ovarian cyst and giving me more time with her when i was scared i would lose her. they really are the best!”

Both doctors we have seen are incredibly thorough, they do not rush and genuinely seem to care about our cat. They take the time to explain things in detail, they are gentle and patient. We are a multi dog household and when you have a lot of dogs that usually means a a significant number of vet visits to keep them healthy and provide them with the best life possible particularly as they age. From minor issues to major health crises, I have always received great advice and multiple treatment choices that are carefully explained to me. I never feel forced into a particular option. It's as though we're a team and are going to come up with the best plan together. And that method has saved many of my dogs' life and made those golden years far better for many of them. “The offhand comment upon entering VCA University Veterinary Clinic, initially stating "We don't like cats" followed by "Just kidding," added an unnecessary layer of negativity to my first-time client experience.Sadly, their service left much to be desired. It seemed their primary focus was on pushing their products, particularly the food they were selling. Despite expressing my financial constraints as a college student, they still pressured me into purchasing unnecessary items. This was particularly frustrating considering my cat was quite ill at the time.
During my appointment, which was scheduled, I was left waiting until a staff meeting concluded before I could even see a veterinarian. This delay only added to my frustration. When I finally did see the vet, it felt rushed and lacked the thoroughness I had hoped for. They performed a basic physical exam and then proceeded to push more products without adequately addressing my concerns or providing guidance on how to care for my pet.
I was genuinely shocked by the conditions of the examination room at VCA University Veterinary Clinic. The level of cleanliness was appalling. Animal hair littered the floor, and to my disbelief, there was even peanut butter smeared on the examination desk. As a client, I was left in the uncomfortable position of having to clean up before my appointment could proceed.
Such neglect of basic hygiene standards is unacceptable in any medical setting,.
I would caution others against visiting this specific location, as it seems their priorities lie more in sales than in providing genuine care and support for animals and their owners.

“I’ve been taking my dog here for over a year and have no complaints. We typically see Dr.Diaz but have also had appointments with Dr. Fernandez and both are wonderful! We ask a lot of questions and have a very large, energetic, friendly dog and all of the staff have clearly been great with our dog as the vet is his favorite place to go (he gets more excited for the vet than the pet store). The receptionists and vet assistants have also been great to speak with, I truly can’t say enough good things about this place!”
