Dr VanSickle is one of kindest and most compassionate veterinarians I’ve ever had the pleasure in meeting. I have two dogs with significant health issues. One that was recently diagnosed with epilepsy and the other diagnosed with lymphoma. She has cared for them both with the gentleness any pet parent would hope for. Dr VanSickle responds to my frantic emails and always figures a way to help in their care. She is creative in how to move forward and always honest with their prognosis. I highly recommend her as well as her incredible staff.

Don’t go here, they’re just milking people for money. This office recommended a new prescribed diet for my sick cat, which made him feel better, and then proceeded to tell me that they cannot allow me to buy more from them without seeing my now healthy cat. Out of desperation, I made the pointless appointment and asked to come buy a little food just to get him by until then and they told me no because I might cancel the appointment??? How sick

I could not be more impressed by the knowledge, dedication and professionalism shown by every staff member I’ve met. Thank you for taking such good care of my boy.

Great vet with friendly staff, tech, and vets. We have a senior dog that we brought here for the first time and Dr. Nichol took time to get to know him, put him at ease, and gave us supplement recommendations.

I have had nothing but positive experiences with this vet clinic. The staff are friendly and compassionate. The waiting room is clean and comfortable. They are up front about all charges. The doctors provide excellent care. We have been using them for seven years, and I would recommend them to anyone.

I can’t ever thank Dr.Van Sickle enough. This woman is the most professional, patient and caring vet iv ever encountered. Not to mention she’s a beautiful human inside and out.Iv been coming here since my pup was a bit over a year old and I have NEVER had anything but a perfect experience. We all know It all starts with the front desk costumer service and Crystal has that DOWN! Not only is she always super kind and supportive to me but she acknowledges my pup tobes and greets him with the biggest smile every time. It’s so reassuring to know my pup is cared for from the beginning.Unfortunately toby got sick this past Sunday and after two ER visits with some recovery (but not much) I took him in to see Dr.Van sickle yesterday (WHICH SHE MADE EXTRA TIME FOR HIM EVEN THO SHE WAS BUSY WITH SURGERIES ALL DAY) and I am so grateful to say he is FINALLY all better. I spent a lot of money and was given meds and fluids that didn’t stop the symptoms fully but Dr.Van Sickle saw him and gave him a med combo that had him back to normal in literally an hour from getting home! She genuinely looked worried and sad for Toby and took the time to give some extra tests and explain everything to me so I didn’t feel so helpless. She even had her super sweet vet tech Amber show me how to properly give tobes his meds and re explain everything to me just incase. We had to get a fecal sample from Toby which unfortunately came with lots of blood and Amber took the time to wipe him after (very soft) and reassured him that he was okay the whole time. It was so sweet and I couldn’t thank her enough for the support she gave my tobes the whole time during testing.I also want to give a shout out to Tatyana because she has also helped tobes in the past and has also been super sweet and soft with him.I’m so thankful I was recommended to this veterinary clinic by Maria Victoria because it truly is the best veterinary clinic in the area! They have the sweetest kindest most caring staff and I genuinely can’t ever thank them enough for everything they do for tobes.Being a first time fur mama can deff be scary at times but this team has always made me feel so supported that at this point I consider them Toby’s aunties.Thank you again from the bottom of my heart to the whole team at VCA for getting my fur baby back to health. I appreciate you all so much. I wish I could give more than five stars.

I’ve always had great experiences here with the staff at VCA University Clinic. They make sure you feel welcomed, and answer any questions you may have while you wait to be called. They even went out of their way and sent me a text message to see how my pup was doing the day after. Would definitely recommend!

Have been with VCA since I got my puppy nearly a year ago. Care and ability to get help has been excellent, all the vets and helpers have been attentive and helpful. I got the first year care package and feel it was very good value, no regrets. I'll probably stick with VCA.

VCA University and Commonwealth have provided inaccurate information, lied about services completed and failed to complete requested services on numerous occasions. The staff is incredibly rude and not the brightest of vets as they removed a muzzle during an exam of a dog with a reactivity and food possession, give the dog peanut butter slathered on the table, and then failed to reput the muzzle on when further examinating the dog.

Dr. Page Van Sickle is the best vet around. My dog is almost twelve years old and Dr. Van Sickle has been her vet since the beginning. Dr. Van Sickle's calm demeanor is an asset for any pet owner, especially a first time new pet owner. The way she communicates is clear so that there is no misundestanding about how to help my pet. Thank you Dr. Van Sickle for choosing the career of veterinarian. You are truly a gift to the profession.

I used to LOVE this place, after 15+ years, but today, I called because my Mini Schnauzer came up limping, and not just a little bit. When I called to bring her in just to look real quick the answer was "We are booked with appointments and the doctor has surgeries all tomorrow, and not sure what you can do. Maybe call the other places and she if they can see her, or take her to an emergency clinic." 100% BS and time to look for another vet that cares. I am so speechless and pissed! Dr. Watson would have NEVER done thisSep 8-update. I added one more star to the review because after I wrote this, and not because I wrote this, I got a phone call that there was a canceled appointment and they were able to see my dog. While the Dr.was very thorough, I still cannot believe that I had to go through the rigmarole to get her to see a Vet.

The vet we go to for our other dog was fully booked so I made the unfortunate decision to not wait and bring my puppy here instead. Front desk and tech were very friendly but the vet was incredible dismissive, pushy, rude and never really seemed to know anything. We were concerned about our puppies legs because it looked like it could be weak and we were hoping he was not in pain. She basically told us she doesn't have an answer for us and proceeded to make comments telling us to "take the puppy back since we just got him". Basically any question we asked- her answer was I don't know. The only thing she seemed passionate about was pressuring us to pay for an "ear exam (?)". His ear looked like it could possibly be infected but I told her I wanted to take him to our usual vet for that because I had absolutely no trust in her at this point. She immediately started pressuring me to pay for an "ear exam (?)" and started getting rude and snappy when I wanted to wait. She seemed to have no problem telling us with no compassion to just "return our puppy" but when it came to this ear exam was suddenly guilt tripping us how the dog needs it immediately. We gave in and was charged a fee for this ear exam and she gave him something for his ear and were told to leave it for a month. Fast forward to a few weeks- we took our puppy to our regular vet and was told the ear is still infected lol but our vet reassured us that his legs and everything else is healthy. At first I didn't write a review because I was just so over that vet and didn't want to think about that awful experience again- but after hearing from our vet that our little guy is totally fine and there was NO reason for her to continuously tell me to return my puppy I felt compelled to warn others about this rude vet. Also- quite lovely how his ear infection was still not treated and she pressured us for some "exam" that cost an additional 107 dollars on top of everything else. Of course our regular vet does not charge an extra 107 dollars just to confirm it is an ear infection. I should've just waited to take him to our vet.

Came with our new puppy because the rescue organization offered a free initial exam and we were wowed. Fantastic front desk. Welcoming and knowledgeable. Furnished us with puppy supplies to get us well started. Medical professionals exceptionally well-trained, on point and caring. We were in and out like clockwork with no sense of rush. We've been to other vets for decades, all good, but this clinic is organized with a dose of zen. We highly recommend.
