Alexis the store manager, and the entire staff, are super friendly. Just moved to the area and not familiar with the store layout so Alexis showed me not only how their store is laid out, but helped me find what I needed on that trip. Also very easy to get to and plenty of parking. 5/5

Probably the best ran Ulta I have ever had the pleasure of ever shopping in. Blown away by the high energy, competent, hospitable, caring staff.
Whether I'm making a purchase, browsing, or completing a return, I always leave blown away by the high level service i have received.
Who ever is running this store takes guest service seriously and it shows through their staff!

I came into the store with no experience and one lady named Jackie helped me! She was so bubbly and she was so willing to do anything for me. She helped me save money and told me what really worked and what didn’t work. She made my day and I’m so happy that I went!! shout out to Ms Jackie!

One of the worst Ulta stores you can go to! Snotty, unprofessional service by many employees. They do not know their job and cannot answer simple questions. Most of the time they act bothered.
They will ask if you need help, hoping you will say no. They act bothered if they have to actually help!
My wife has a disability and if she has to return something or get a simple item has me go in to do it. A heavyset young woman with black hair who was NOT waiting on me loudly said' 'Is ____ returning something?' Using my wife's first name in a creepy manner in front of other customers'. This wasn't said in a nice, friendly manner. It was said as an insulting dig for making a return.
Here's an idea: if you as a worker do not like your return policy then you petition corporate to change it. Otherwise, we have the right to return a brand new and unused product with receipt without some snotty dig . This was the last straw and I am filing an official complaint about this store with somebody that might listen. The last time my wife was in she dealt with somebody that said her name was Sarah, she wasn't wearing a name tag and was very snotty and didn't want to help do anything. She talked to my wife as if we were on the street. She was hispanic and had light brown hair in a ponytail and was in her late '30s or so.
She was working in skincare and it was a very bad experience. 'Sarah' probably wasn't even her real name. We went to this store because it is the closest but we will never come back again. We'd rather drive further out then to deal with this ever again.
My wife became an official member in 2007 and has been Platinum since the beginning of the program. She has been diamond and will likely be diamond for 2025. We have never experienced this kind of rudeness and unprofessionalism in Ulta.
We have never complained with Ulta but now is the time.
EDIT: Look at the review 5 down from mine by user N.K. She was nice enough to give 3 stars but said exactly what I am saying! Sherry C from a few weeks ago as well. Again, one of the worst Ultas you will ever go to and it starts at the store manager level . The store manager is allowing this to happen.

I understand it’s a Monday but it seems as if nobody wanted to be there today on this beautiful day. I came for two products, didn’t come to browse.This is not my usual Ulta so I asked 2 people for help but you could tell I was bothering them. The first one was just standing there on her phone and pointed me to the wrong aisle, I was still looking when I asked another one and she did the same thing and had the same attitude.Finally I had to ask the lady at the register, she couldn’t leave the register of course but was more helpful as followed me with her eyes and told me where to stop. I hope they have better days ✌?

I normally go to Sephora but tried out this location of Ulta and the customer service was horrible. Everyone just looked fed up with their jobs and were rude when approached. Felt like they really don’t want you there.

My daughter and I had a great experience looking for makeup for a musical. She needed lots of help to get the right shade of foundation and lipstick and a really nice lady helped us so patiently and kindly. They were able to ship for free my item that was not available in the store. If you need to find the right color or just need to ask questions this is definitely the right place to go. Huge selection. Coupon available on their website.

I'm in my 50s and had a similar experience as other reviewers my age - totally ignored by the staff as I browsed the makeup section looking for the right foundation. Several employees were standing around talking to each other but never seemed to notice me. I gave up and left, feeling invisible.

Fairfax store is a waste of time. No one to help, employee standing behind the register was just standing, not offering to help customers. I finally found the items I was looking for, I even helped another customer decide what color foundation looked best on her. I went to check out and asked about one of the products I wanted that was damaged. The employee said she would check in the back to see if they had anymore. She returned from the back and approached a woman that had just walked into the store. She actually searched for her order and had a conversation about going to school with her before coming back to the register. The employee then returned and told me that this was the last one and they are sending it back to the company. She went to ring up my other items, I handed her the Ulta coupon and she said they were prestiege items and the coupon was not valid. I asked about the gift with purchase and she stated that was not available. I basically just wasted a half hour of my valuable time!

Helpful salespeople when you are not sure of colors or brands. Good place to go if you are looking for options or suggestions.
