Better than most Safeways, maybe because most of the staff came from the Shopper's that used to be here. Greater selection than most Safeway stores also. No Safeway gets five stars because of the ridiculously complex pricing. This one has much more caring, capable staff than the fancy one at Pan Am Center.

Safeway often has low quality items at premium prices. I have visited stores in Canada and the USA and this is pretty evident. In this store, you can see in pictures that a bakery item is located on the shelves that is reduced in price. However, one can notice that this is an opened item as it doesn't have all the 14 pieces. Food items returned by customers shall not be sold.

I often shop at this store and will definitely warn shoppers about expired food. My wife purchased sausages there and they were stinky when I tried to cook them. I went back to the trash and realize that they were use or freeze by June 6 when they were on the shelves on June 16. It took a while to get a refund because I didn't feel it was safe bringing a package of opened and raw meat to the store. I went back to check the shelves and realize they still had sausages use or freeze by June 6 and we were now June 19. This was not the first instances but the worst.

Same supermarket brand that we usted to have in Houston. Good quality in-house brand, prices competitive with Giant in the Fairfax market, store clean and bright. Seems to have switched to all self-checkout.

There is no organization to their layout. It’s impossible to try to find what you need on your own. Good luck trying to find and employee to help you, let alone one that knows where something is.

I bought a watermelon, the stand said 3.99, no where does it say 6.99, get to the register and because I didn't scan off the sign I don't get it for the posted price. I have enough to process in my day, coming to the grocery store should be super simple, if you post a price that's the price you pay. Bait and switch is not customer friendly.

Boy, do I miss Shoppers Food Warehouse! Ever since Safeway purchased the building, the amazing customer service, that once was, has completely done a 180, and NOT in a good way. Every employee from the cashier to the attendant behind the meat department acts as if they’re doing you a favor, or you’re disturbing them. I’ll save my money and go elsewhere.

Man, after Shoppers sold to Safeway and bought this location everything including the customer service has reach an all time low. Last time I was there, one of the cashier tried to lecture me about my payment selection, in front of other customers. Staff behind the meat department acted like I was disturbing them. I'll think twice before walking in this location again.

It’s the same Old Shoppers Labeled Safeway. I’ve almost lost a finger in a cart cup holder, happily so happened upon an old SFW cart? SSDD.How about the mustard section ?Smells of super adhesive in the half empty frozen food section.

Prices require installation of a smart phone app. Those that reject this pay the unmarked full price, about 150% the marked price and far higher than competitive prices for the area. Avoid if you value privacy or do not use a smart phone.

FRESHTA is the rudest woman I ever made i made a mistake with my WIC benefits and had to return stuff and she threw her hands down and groaned infront me and other customers after I clearly stated what I wanted. She clearly wasn’t trained correctly SAFEWAY please train people correctly I will never be going back to this Safeway because she clearly doesn’t care about the job she gets paid to do whoever her manager is I suggest you have a long conversation.

10/3/22 Anyone remember when this use to be Shoppers Food Werehouse? I found most of these store to conform to the old ways grocery stores use to before places like Harris Teeter and Wegmans stepped in and changed the way grocery stores are supposed to like...hit the music. *R.i.p Ravasing Rick Rude.* This Safeway has taken over the former building of the Shoppers Food Werehouse. Although Safeway has fixed the lighting, brightened up the flooring( or changed it), cleaned up the place and reorganizing it, it still has the essence of the old Shoppers Food Werehouse. Something that just can't seem to die. I did not encounter much of the staff members so I can't comment on this. However, the manager I did see looked tired and ready to go home and not deal with people. I found what I needed easily, but the Ice Drinks were no longer $.99. They were $1.39 each. Most of the drinks my wife got hooked on by me were not there. So I ended up buying two packs of the Ice Drinks for a better investment of my money. The lady who rang me up was a cheerful young college kid...I think. She made the experience wonderful. She could be going places if she stays a member of the Safeway Team. I normally don't shop here, so it certainly was an experience. The last time I remember being in this store it had the name Shoppers Food on it. This place needs an ambience pick up in the best way. Many things have change since the Shoppers Food days, but the energy levels need to go up big time.

Quoc at the Pharmacy was so nice and super efficient. We got four Omicron boosters right near closing time.
