Becareful with Digital coupon Per Safeway policy, "Internet and digital coupons that have been electronically loaded to a Safeway Club Card are automatically redeemed at the time of purchase after the club card number has been entered". The receipt was not shown the price redeemed for the item I clipped digital coupons on my Safeway app. I asked customer service why it happened. They check my app for the items to see if it was clipped. Then they gave me cash for the difference. When I went home, I looked at the receipt. i found out another item that from the digital coupon i had clipped has not been redemm for the price. I bought only a few items so I could find out or remembered what items were from digital coupon clipped. I could have not detect this scam if I bought too many itmes, including the items that do not belong to digital coupons. So don't trust the digital coupon since Safeway did not program to have items with digital coupons to have automatically redeemed the amount as its advertisement.

This store is right across from me and I hate going there. The prices are high. Every time I do go, I overhear disgruntled employees complaining about their job and management or their scheduling and how they at soo unhappy or how the one dedicated employee is short staffed. I will only go if it's something I need urgently. I have tried to go occasionally, but it never changes it's been toxic employee atmosphere since I got here in 2016. Only positive I can say is Starbucks staff are nice and the store is fairly clean and stocked most times.

I live right in between Safeway and Wegmans. Wegmans is just about all around superior to Safeway - for the most part. However, one thing I truly appreciate about Safeway is certain people who work there. They brighten my day whereas Wegmans, albeit friendly staff and helpful are just too pre-occupied with the vast crowd of people bombarding them that I can't seem to get that personal touch and attention to detail I've become accustomed to at Safeway. 3 staff members come to mind right away - DOROTHY! Kim & Randy - all 3 are fantastic people and as long as they're working there I'll continue to snub Wegmans. Can you remember when youve been on a first name-basis friendship with staff at a random business?! These 3 put me in a good mood, it's a joy to see them every time I'm there. I've also brought by friends and family members who've had the nicest things to say about them. Props to whomever hired these 3 fine employees - and more importantly genuinely decent people who've somehow managed to make grocery shopping enjoyable.

Seafood department manager isn't very friendly. Ever since I went to another Safeway and was offered to have my crab legs weighed after steaming them, I will never pay for them frozen again. You pay for a whole pound and it is just ice. So if you get three pounds, you're walking out with two. IF THAT. It's a way to get over and it really is a scam to not do otherwise.

The whole garlic I bought from here were so old that they were rotten and had big buds growing inside. To make things worse, the store manager that was supposed to give me a refund actually charged me again so I ended up getting charged over $12 for the rotten garlic... Safeway just lost a 12-year loyal customer!

I had no choice self service “closing” hrs as a HANDICAP right side of my weak body pulled it somehow!! Employees my 1st time to shoppe late spent 2hrs 7pm to 8:30 last night 9/28 to empty my expiring end of the month HEALTHY FOODS CARD benefits. Perhaps HE can apologise the self counter assistant who called the MANAGER for HELP cancel an item out of my pocket extra payment. If they have an internal incorrect management training issue regarding the network system of my CARD esp BENEFITS as I’ve notice several times at same store always just admit & apologize communicate to customer for the inconsistent error that couldn’t be deleted from the system & pls come up to a better solution agreement how & what She the MANAGER’S suggestion can do peacefully for CUSTOMER’S convenience. I came home without my grocery items since I decide to CANCEL everything & scan over again to delete the system error, I’m not a tech. literate. MANAGER said can’t help me any longer coz She was busy counting money in her office before it was 9:ish only closing!!! :-( neglected a consideration for my helpless situation. ( RUDE ETHIC’S ) Hello HUMAN RIGHTS DEPARTMENT.

I bought a latte at the Starbucks concession, and a gift card. The cashier was friendly and welcoming (lots of tattoos on her arms). The young barista at Starbucks (blond hair, glasses, speaks Spanish I think) is always friendly and engaging when I go there. Always a pleasant experience.

I like its digital rebate through paypal for beer. The beer rebate does not have minimum purchase on other goods to be eligible. You need to download the app and clip the deal in the app in advance.

If you need groceries, this place has them and will sell them to you. Also, there bakery section is dangerously delicious. Proceed with caution!

The prices here aren't the best but I has a wider selection of items than most grocery stores. The have some decent deals for members, just keep an eye out for those yellow stickers. This store has a good deli and produce section as well. I recommend trying their cheap fried chicken nights on Mondays.

I cam here with $7.00 tuna sandwich on.my mind, and I ended up walking out with the sandwich and a twelve pack of pellegrino water. They had several more sandwiches that were already prepared, and they looked tempting, but I decided to just the same thing I always do, tuna. I've been to this store several times and I have always had a good experience, without ever any issues. Its a particular clean store and I have never seen it overly crowded with customers. I went through the self-checkout which os easy, so I didn't have an interaction with an employee.

I went to buy a few items and covid tests. The envelopes we needed, our favorite fair life fat free milk, and the cascade platinum dishwasher packets were all marked down. I asked the pharmacist about the covid tests. He informed me that I could get up to 8 tests at no cost. The receipt said $95, but the discounts brought them down to $0. The tests were far from expiration and higher quality than i have used before. Safeway is one of only 2 grocery stores my wife and I will shop at. They always have good prices, a huge selection, and keep a nice and clean store. Even the young lady at checkout gave us a great smile as she told us to enjoy our day. She even bagged our items into our personal shopping bag for us. Such a great experience.

Who doesn't like Safeway.? Clean and very well stocked. Produce was beautiful and fresh. Staff is friendly and helpful. Love the Starbucks inside the store. It was clean and friendly.
